GCSA Spring 2025

Page 1

Spring is such an exciting time, with plants bursting into new growth and blooms, the weather warming and days getting longer, and this gives us more opportunities to get out and have fun in our gardens. Even nongardeners get the ‘gardening bug’ at this time of year and are inspired to ‘have a grow’. There are lots of practical things to do like weeding, feeding, mulching and pruning, but nothing beats the feeling of planting something new in the garden and watching it grow.

Spring Colour. There are lots of showstopper plants to add colour to your garden. Whether it’s Australian natives like Kangaroo paws and Grevilleas, or cheerful exotics like the Red Baron Daisy, Pink Eyed Beauty Osteospermum or Elite Pink lavender, there are plenty to choose from, as well colourful foliage plants like Coprosma lemon and lime with its bright variegated foliage and the stunning silver Convolvulus. These plants in 150mm pots are a great size to get established well and bloom for months.
