Jordan Lickteig of Peoria was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Des Moines Area Community College. The liberal arts student completed a minimum of six credits and earned 3.5 to 3.99 grade-point average for that semester.

Abby Michelle Kessen and Abbye Grace Porro, both of Peoria, were named to the dean’s academic honor list for the spring 2021 semester at Baylor University at Waco, Texas. Kessen is attending the Hankamer School of Business, while Porro in the College of Arts & Sciences. The dean’s academic honor list recognizes Baylor undergraduates for its outstanding academic work during each semester. Students honored on the dean’s list earned a minimum semester grade-point average of 3.70 with no grade lower than a “C” while enrolled in at least 12 graded semester hours.

Ashley Pederson, a senior at Bethel University in St. Paul, was named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the spring 2021 semester. She is the daughter of Michelle Pederson from Peoria. The dean’s list honors students who achieve an outstanding scholastic record during a semester with a gradepoint average of 3.6 or greater.

Katrina Wetherell of Peoria has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Wetherell is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in corporate communication. To make the dean’s list, students must have earned at least 12 credits for the spring 2021 semester and have no disqualifying grades. The GPA threshold varies by college — for the College of Education and the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, undergraduate students must have at least a 3.7 to be named to the dean’s list. The undergraduate GPA requirement is 3.5 for the Diederich College of Communication, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences, the Opus College of Engineering and the College of Nursing. All other programs have a 3.75 GPA minimum.

Micah Collins, of Peoria, a senior who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy, made the president’s honor roll at College of St. Mary in Omaha. In total, 124 students made the president’s honor roll. To qualify for the president’s honor roll, students must earn a 3.9 GPA or above.
