olunteer work is on the rise as the nonprofit Foothills Caring Corps partnered with Cave Creek Unified School District leaders on July 12 to promote volunteer opportunities for children. “We want this opportunity to be fulfilling and bring joy and happiness into the lives of student volunteers and neighbors,” said Robin Cochran, FCC executive director. The Carefree-based nonprofit strives to promote “independence and enhancing the quality of life for older adults and persons with disabling conditions through the Foothills community.” FCC hosted CCUSD’s superintendent, administrators and principals for a day of learning and service. They learned how a partnership could benefit the nonprofit organization and their neighbors, older adults and persons

he town of Cave Creek wrapped up its fourth and final community discussion about the fire protection and emergency
services, presenting the town’s options for how it can achieve a comprehensive all-hazard protection program and become a member of the Regional Automatic Aid System. All Cave Creek residents and businesses rely on fire service through voluntary subscriptions pro-
