memorial was held at the Jewel of the Creek for Sam Fox, who was the co-founder of Wild at Heart Raptor Rescue, on March 23, which would have been her 74th birthday. Sam died at the end of 2020 after battling long-term health issues, leaving behind her husband Bob Fox, with whom she founded the organization in the early ’90s. Approximately 60 family, friends and volunteers gathered on the drizzling rainy day overlooking the mountains of Spur Cross Conservation Area while listening to stories, memories and poems in honor of Sam. lmost one-third of all Maricopa County adult residents have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine since Gov. Doug Ducey announced the state was expanding vaccination eligibility on March 24. The announcement allowed Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS)

to open its state-operated sites in Maricopa, Pima and Yuma counties for anyone older than 16 to receive the Pfizer vaccine, and those over age 18 can receive the Moderna, Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) or Pfizer vaccine. “State-run sites and many others are now vaccinating everyone 16 and older or 18 and older depending on the vaccine being used, and we’re looking
