A SPECIAL NOTE OF THANKS
Dan Noeth, HOA President M
any of you know that I was away for much of the month of August. My absence during this time was discussed with the entire Board before we began the management company review process. We all knew that if we ultimately decided to change management companies, the transition would be stressful, challenging, and undoubtedly come with a few bumps along the way. We also knew that much of the responsibility would fall on those I would be leaving behind during that critical period.

4. FITNESS PROGRAM REORGANIZATION –
To say that I am grateful to our Board, our committees, our club leaders, our volunteers, and the RealManage team would be an understatement. This transition has been an incredible undertaking, and we simply would not be where we are today without the dedication of the residents, volunteers, and employees who stepped forward and made it happen. As we come to the end of this Board’s year of service, I would also like to take a moment to reflect on some of what OUR COMMUNITY ACCOMPLISHED TO-
Restructuring fitness classes to ensure reasonable financial participation by the residents who attend them.
5. EXPANDED FITNESS OFFERINGS – Adding Pilates classes to our community fitness program.
6. $25,000 SPONSORSHIP – Securing a
$25,000 sponsorship from Kelsey-Seybold.
GETHER.
7. SWEETGRASS PROMOTIONAL VIDEO –
In no particular order:
Creating a professional promotional video showcasing our community and what makes Sweetgrass such a special place to live.
1. THE F.A.S.T. VOTE – Adding nearly $100,000 annually to the HOA’s income with no additional cost to current homeowners.
8. RESOLVING MAJOR OPERATIONAL ISSUES – Moving forward with a backup generator,
2. MANAGEMENT COMPANY REVIEW –
Completing a comprehensive review of alternative management companies and determining the best path forward for Sweetgrass.
completing the indoor pool repair and remediation, planning carpet replacement, installing cameras, purchasing a golf cart, addressing our hog problem, and resolving numerous other operational needs throughout the community.
3. TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS –
Securing up to $18,000 through a cost-sharing agreement with Fort Bend County for traffic-calming and safety equipment.
9. RECLAIMED WATER AGREEMENT – Negotiating and executing an agreement with the City

THANK YOU.
that helps ensure reclaimed water is available to support our lakes during periods of drought.
Thank you to our incredible Board of Directors. Thank you to every volunteer serving on a committee, leading a club, helping with an event, or quietly doing something behind the scenes simply because it needed to be done. Thank you to every resident who participated, contributed ideas, attended events, asked questions, offered encouragement, and cared enough to be involved. And thank you to the employees of both RealManage and CCMC who worked throughout the year to keep our community operating and helped make these accomplishments possible. It has been a year filled with some sleepless nights, tremendous challenges, incredible successes, and yes, a few things we could have done better. But perhaps the most important thing I learned this year is this:
10. THE TRANSITION TO REALMANAGE –
Perhaps our largest undertaking of the year. The transition includes approximately $100,000 in operating cost reductions, improved technology and software systems, enhanced customer service, and the hiring and onboarding of an entirely new management team along with approximately half of our hourly staff.
And while all of this was happening behind the scenes, SWEETGRASS NEVER STOPPED
BEING SWEETGRASS.
Our Lifestyle programs continued. Exercise classes were held. Trips were taken near and far. Games were played. We danced. We sang. We attended plays. We enjoyed our hobbies. We entertained family and friends. We laughed together, worked together, mourned those we lost, and continued doing all of the things that make this community such a special place to call home. I probably do not say it often enough, but simply:
Follow Us
LOVE GOD. SERVE PEOPLE. STOP PESTS.
346.531.5117 346.531.5117
WE STOP UNWANTED PESTS. RHINO RHINO PEST PROTECTION
PEST PROTECTION
WHEN SWEETGRASS COMES TOGETHER, THERE IS VERY LITTLE WE CANNOT ACCOMPLISH. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving as your HOA President and, more importantly, for everything each of you does to make Sweetgrass the community we are all proud to call home.

resonated with me. The biggest challenge is capturing Tevye’s range—how he navigates heartbreak, tradition, and change with humor and warmth. Bringing that depth to our stage is a massive undertaking, but doing this role justice is pure joy. Q: Tevye spends the show weighing tradition against change. Is there a specific scene or song that speaks to you? Mike: As a person of faith, I respect how Tevye talks directly to God through his struggles. But my favorite moment is when he asks

Golde, "Do You Love Me?" After 25 years of an arranged marriage, watching them process love for the first time as their daughters break tradition is deeply moving. Q: Rehearsals are in full swing! What can our neighbors expect when the curtain goes up?
Bayou Buzz • September 2026
Mike: I’ve sung on stage before, but this is my acting debut! Rehearsals are intense because we're dedicated to getting every detail right, but working alongside this cast has been incredible. You can expect tremendous energy, heart, and emotion from everyone on stage.

Drive Aware
he sound of school buses, crossing guards, and children heading off to class is back again. While our community is an over-55 neighborhood, many of us drive through neighborhoods where school-age children live. That makes this a good time to remind ourselves to take a little extra caution behind the wheel. Children are energetic and sometimes unpredictable. They may dart into the street to catch the school bus or jump off the bus and run for home without a thought. They may
step out between parked cars without so much as a glance. While everyone has had time to get accustomed to the school routine, it’s still a time to remind ourselves that extra patience and attention really matters. If your morning or afternoon route takes you near a school or the school buses, consider slowing down a little earlier, scanning sidewalks and driveways, and putting away distractions until you reach your destination. Those few extra moments of caution can make a tremendous difference.
11
Bayou Buzz • September 2026
Let’s remember to: -Slow down in school zones -Watch carefully for children on foot and on bicycles -Stop for school buses when you see those flashing lights -Expect the unexpected, especially during school arrival and dismissal times. As neighbors, we all share the responsibility of making our roads safer, A little patience, a little extra attention, and a willingness to slow down can help insure every child arrives safely at school and back home again. Patience, attention and a willingness to slow down may make a difference in the lives of not only children going back to school but our neighbors as they stroll the neighborhood. Take care. Be aware. The best drivers aren’t always the fastest-they’re the ones who help everyone get home safely.
