OBITUARIES Leanne Irene Davidson
Leanne Irene Davidson, 33, beloved mother, daughter, niece, cousin, nurse, and friend passed away suddenly Sunday, August 29, 2021. Leanne was born January 8, 1988 in Albuquerque, NM to parents John Statzula and Lisa Davidson. She grew up in Peoria, AZ and graduated from Sunrise Mountain High School in 2006. Leanne studied hard and became a Registered Nurse in 2011 beginning her career in North Platte, NE in 2012. In 2014, Leanne found her dream job at the Mayo Clinic, earning her BSN degree along the way and becoming a transplant procurement coordinator, helping people get a second chance in life through organ donation. Her dedicated service to the profession was honored in a Nightingale Tribute at a private memorial held by the Mayo Clinic.
Known for her generosity, infectious spirit, love of pets, and big smile, Leanne made an impact upon everyone she met. As an only child Leanne created tight bonds with her childhood friends and her cousins that lasted throughout her short life. Those closest to her admired her intelligence, sense of humor, quick-wit, and sass, which she used to excel in her career as a nurse. With all these accomplishments, however, her greatest passion was motherhood. Leanne leaves behind two young children and her wish was to share her love for the beach and adventure with them. In honor of her memory we should all take time to enjoy the sand beneath our toes surrounded by the people who make us smile.
Leanne is survived by her daughter and son, her parents, her beloved dogs, many aunts, uncles and cousins, friends, and colleagues who hold tightly to their memories of her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Inez & George Hudson and her paternal grandparents Betty & Frank Statzula.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mayo Clinic or Phoenix Children's Hospital in the memory of Leanne Davidson, or become an organ donor to continue her life's work. A Go Fund Me account for her children has been established at https://gofund.me/87d2e7bb.

Partner up with a neighbor or friend. This is helpful to give each other breaks during the day. 3. Advertise your sale — ask us for our Yard Sale Special! 4. In your ad include the type of sale, (e.g., Yard Sale, Multi-Family Sale), date, time, address/ cross streets, and be specifi c on prices for high dollar items. Popular items you can include: furniture, appliances, electronics, tools, yard equipment, designer/children’s clothes and shoes, craft items, antiques, unique items and collectibles/ collections. 5. Place signs on major cross streets and on the corners leading into your neighborhood. Just a fat, solid black arrow on colorful poster board works fi ne. 6. Price your items. If having a Multi-Family sale, each family should have a different colored price tag. You can do a $1 table, $5 table, etc., to save time. 7. Money. Be prepared with change, including coins. Do not accept checks. Cash only! 8. Have electricity available to test items. 9. Be safe. Do not let anyone into your home. Take your phone outside with you Have an extra person relieve you occasionally. 10. If it’s warm, offer cold bottled water for sale to cool off your customers! Happy customers buy things! 11. After the sale, remove your signs and donate leftover items to a local charity.

AMES CONSTRUCTION HOSTS GESD STUDENTS FOR HOLIDAY FUN ON THE RANCH
The act of kindess is part of an annual tradition for the Ames family and GESD.
Cindy Segotta-Jones, Superintendent
Each year, Ames Construction hosts GESD students at the Ames Ranch. After pausing the event last year, the grand tradition returned when the Ames family welcomed third-graders from Glendale Landmark School and Glenn F. Burton School. The students were treated to carnival rides and games, a ride on a buckboard, dinner, and a moment with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The children also left with their very own Santa sack filled with treasures and goodies. We are grateful for the continued support of our students by John Ames, his family, and everyone at Ames Construction.

GESD TRULY APPRECIATES THE AMES FAMILY'S GENEROSITY!
