Local Realtors focus on teamwork and client support

Since the day Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Move Time Realty opened in September, it has had two goals: to offer a personalized and ongoing relationship with each client, and to provide its Realtors with the tools they need to do their job efficiently.

“We truly feel that the people we work with are not just clients, so we work on developing an ongoing relationship with them,” says co-owner and designated broker Susan Paul.

Joan Kilbey, managing broker and Realtor, agrees.

“We train our agents to provide value to their neighborhoods and to provide a more personal focus on the lifestyle of the consumer, which means our agents are trained on how to exceed our clients’ expectations in a way that extends beyond showing them houses,” she says.

“The underlying philosophy of Move Time Realty is to be an all-encompassing real estate office that provides value to clients not just when they are buying and selling, but also continues to assist them with their home needs throughout the year.”

As Paul notes, one way that Move Time Realty offers an exceptional experience for their clients is by having two Realtors on staff who are also interior designers, and a general

contractor who is available to work with clients as needed. This was the brainchild of co-owner Matthew Hage, who got the idea from talking to other agents across the country.

“This way we have someone here who can work with clients and give them a bid for repairs, and they can give an idea on costs and help expedite the transaction,” Paul says.

To stay in touch with the community, the office hosts a Recipe of the Month event on the first Saturday of the month. The next event, which is free and open to the public, is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3.

Paul says she, Kilbey and Hage also do everything they can to make sure their team of Realtors are well-equipped with the support and training required to be successful.

“We have a one team, one dream, one philosophy here and our motto is PAIGE, which stands for passion, authenticity, innovation, growth and excellence,” Paul says.

One of the things she enjoys about her work is to be there for the agents and help them however they need it.

“To me, a supported agent is a successful agent, and I want to give them all of the tools they need to be successful, so they can better their own lives and their clients’ lives.”

Kilbey’s passion is training the agents and preparing them to work with clients.

TAX PREPARATION SPECIAL!

“Becoming a real estate agent can be challenging because there is so much to know to be successful, but I really love coaching and teaching the agents; there is a lot of passion and joy in training the next generation of professional agents.”

Triplex Training focuses on injury prevention, group workouts

Since opening his new Triplex Training location in Chandler in 2011, Kyle Herrig has focused on offering three main services: strength training, cardio workouts and injury prevention.

Most clients regularly use his workouts as their strength training, he says. His group workouts are especially popular.

“The hour sessions include a 10-minute dynamic warm-up, followed by 50 minutes of exercise stations,” he says. “All of the exercises are wholebody, life-like, and functional in design, and can be adapted to all ages and abilities.”

Some stations may require more strength, while others focus on the cardiovascular system and increasing the heart rate.

“With the short one-second break between stations, you’re working your body the entire time,” he says. “Some exercises only require balance and body weight, while others require the client to move weight through a dynamic movement pattern.”

To introduce his workouts and techniques, Herrig is hosting an open house for the public from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at his Chandler location. The event will feature sample classes, demonstrations by shoe fitters and a bike shop, and giveaways.

Herrig says that because his exercises

are full body, there is an emphasis on the core.

“Look at how your core functions in real life—from reaching over to pick up a small child or carrying groceries from the car, or simply acting as the crossroads between upper and lower limbs with walking and running,” he says. “Because we live and move in a 3-dimensional world, it makes sense that we train our bodies in one.”

Herrig, who earned a master’s degree in exercise science, subscribes to the belief that bodies should be more upright and in a functional, lifelike position.

“Lying on your back doing 500 crunches is not going to help you when you bend over to pick up and move the 20-pound box or set your child down in his or her crib.”

Herrig’s exercises can be tailored to a client’s activity and ability level.

“I have worked with a 70-year-old who has had a hip replacement all the way to Olympic and professional athletes.”

Herrig says his group workouts offer clients the chance to get experience with personal training in a safe and supportive environment.

“If you’re doing exercises that hurt you, a gym membership can be detrimental,” he says. “But not everyone can pay $75 three times per week for personal training. This is where our

group workouts can be the key to your fitness needs.”

No matter who he is working with, Herrig says it’s a pleasure to watch his clients improve.

“Seeing someone who has dealt with pain or weaknesses be able to live a pain-free life is very rewarding, or a runner who is doing OK but is now running better than ever due to the

additional exercise is very satisfying.” Triplex Training is located at 2701 W. Queen Creek Rd., in Chandler. For more information, call (602) 295-6125 or visit www.triplextraining.com or www. facebook.com/triplextraining.

Connie’s Jewelry Gallery & Clock Shop sells

Since Richard and Connie Finkbeiner opened Connie’s Jewelry Gallery & Clock Shop in late 2001, they have strived to do more than sell and repair beautiful jewelry, watches and clocks.

They are preserving the stories and memories that Richard says are inherent in every timepiece.

“Every clock has a story behind it, whether it’s grandma’s old mantel clock or a grandfather clock that has been in the family for years,” Richard says.

Connie can be found at the front counter helping customers pick out the perfect John Bagley inlay ring or beautiful Galatea necklace that features a diamond inside a pearl. He, however, loves nothing more than repairing and servicing clocks and watches.

Richard says most customers are more than willing to share the stories that go with the items that need repair. Over the years, he has heard poignant and engaging stories about timepieces that have been in families for generations.

“One time a lady came in with a grandfather clock that needed to be repaired, and she asked me to leave the handprint that was on the brass pendulum,” he says.

“She told me that her late mom had once touched the pendulum and the oil in her skin caused it to leave a perfect handprint. Every time she sees that handprint, she thinks of her.”

Recently, Richard worked on a mantel clock that had been in a local family for generations. Richard says the customer told him how the clock had not run for years, but right after his mom died, it suddenly started working.

“Watches and clocks really do have an inherent value that is not only monetary, but also emotional,” he says.

Connie’s Jewelry Gallery & Clock Shop has not only a large selection of jewelry and timepieces, but the widest offering of related products and services in the area, Richard says.

“We also do engraving, pearl stringing, ear piercing and certified appraisals, and we offer a private room for customers who bring in items to be appraised,” he says.

“Connie hand picks all of the jewelry that we sell, so we are not a mass merchandiser, and I get to hand-select all of our clocks.”

About a year ago, the Finkbeiners moved their business to a new location, which Richard describes as “bigger, better and brighter.”

To celebrate the holiday season, the store is offering 20 percent to 50 percent discounts on all items. Through Dec. 24, customers can purchase select grandfather clocks at a 50-percent discount, inlay colored stones for 20 percent off, and items from their silver line for 30 percent off.

Chandler schools named local charity of choice by Subaru

The Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) and the Chandler Education Foundation (CEF) have again partnered with the family-owned Subaru Superstore of Chandler for the “Share the Love” event.

The event allows Subaru of America and the Subaru Superstore of Chandler to donate $250 to the CEF Scholarship Fund through Friday, Jan. 2. for every Subaru sold.

Subaru Superstore of Chandler Owners Richard and Lisa Cvijanovich are supporters of CUSD, donating $10,000 for Junior High VEX Robotics this year and $6,000 for an Apple computer

media lab.

“We selected CEF again for our ‘Share the Love’ event because we place a priority on supporting our outstanding CUSD teachers and students and hope to be able to double the $10,950 donation earlier this year,” says Lisa Cvijanovich. “Also, since one-third of Subaru drivers are educators, it made sense to select a local charity that will have a direct impact on our clients.”

Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer’s choice of the following national charities: ASPCA, Make-AWish, Meals on Wheels Association

OnTrac introduces DirectPost

Chandler-based OnTrac introduces DirectPost, a mail product that combines the strength of the U.S. Postal Service with the regional speed of OnTrac, giving shippers a faster, more affordable alternative for residential parcel delivery. OnTrac is proud to announce Newegg Inc. as the fi rst customer.

Newegg Inc., the second largest pure play Internet retailer, will be the fi rst company to use DirectPost from OnTrac. Newegg is expected to begin shipping DirectPost shipments during the heavy volume holiday shipping season.

“We’re excited to add DirectPost to our suite of shipping options just in time for the holiday season,” says Senior Vice President of Global Operations for Newegg North America, Kunal Thakkar. “OnTrac is a valued Newegg partner with p roven reliability and the new DirectPost mail product helps us provide our customers with the perfect marriage between inexpensive postal rates and faster shipping.”

As a USPS Workshare Partner, OnTrac will inject deliveries straight into DDUs, SCFs and NDCs, giving shippers faster access to customers serviced from more than 2,000 postal facilities within its eight state service area.

“Service is the primary driver for our postal product,” Director of DirectPost

Andy Webber says. “The main selling point for us is faster time in transit. That means DirectPost would offer its customers the ground service commitment plus one day.”

The regional hub and spoke model employed across the eight state OnTrac service area enables the company to make next day deliveries at distances of up to 500 miles. By leveraging OnTrac’s territorial advantage, DirectPost combines inexpensive postal rates plus an imp roved customer experience through faster time in transit.

The same trucks, invoices, pickup times, software, drop boxes and customer service representatives make the transition to OnTrac’s mail product seamless. Additionally, the faster transit time of OnTrac Ground plus one day means DirectPost customers will receive their shipments faster.

OnTrac provides overnight shipping at ground rates to businesses and consumers in the major metropolitan areas of California, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Colorado and Idaho. The three divisions of OnTrac, Overnight, Messenger and International Mail, offer customers a broad range of services and encompasses an extensive geographical area.

of America, National Park Foundation and Alzheimer’s Association (local chapter). In addition to these, the CEF was selected exclusively by the Subaru Superstore of Chandler until Jan. 2.

“We are excited to be able to share more love with more charities— including the charities in our owners’ backyard like CEF,” says Subaru chief marketing officer Dean Evans.

Subaru and Subaru owners will have given $50 million to diverse and worthy causes with the sales growth over the last seven years.

EverywhereUGO offers costeffective way to advertise

Roy Williams once said, “It’s far superior to reach 10 percent of the market and convince them 100 percent of the way, than to reach 100 percent of the marketing and only convincing them 10 percent of the way.”

Derrick Wilhelm, owner of Chandler’s EverywhereUGO, completely agrees.

EverywhereUGO, which is new to the area, is an avant-garde provider of advertising and community development. Its indoor billboards are featured in restrooms, elevators, waiting areas and other common areas, and therefore capture distraction free attention for longer than any other medium.

“Our business has community as a foundation, not just one customer after another,” Wilhelm says. “We produce our product with a focus on your desires and your future. We realize that our growth is based solely on yours. When a business chooses to advertise with EverywhereUGO they form a symbiotic partnership with us and their community.”

The business markets their product in target businesses, and those same target businesses market their product in other businesses. Because EverywhereUGO success is only as good as the companies they promote, the business works with individuals on a personal basis to promote their reputation and potential business.

EverywhereUGO postings promote business, with the help of the rest of its community does. The more successful the community is, the more apt they are to associate with businesses.

EverywhereUGO is constantly looking for high traffic venues in which to place its boards. For every four boards placed in a business’ restroom, or high-traffic areas, the business will receive one free ad in the location of its choice.

For more information or to set up an appointment, call Wilhelm at (530) 218-3167, email derrickeugo@gmail.com or visit, www.everywhereugo.com/ chandler.

Kid to Kid Gilbert wins franchise award

The Kid to Kid franchise named its Gilbert location at 1652 N. Higley Rd., as the store of the month for November. Owner Erica Gentile, also the Chandler store’s proprietor, was given the award for outstanding performance and customer satisfaction.

The Gilbert Kid to Kid was selected from more than 100 stores because of an impressive 56-percent increase in sales over the last year, as well as a significant increase in the amount of product bought from customers.

Gentile credits much of the increase of sales to having a great selection of merchandise.

“We have really focused on keeping our racks organized and full of highquality merchandise so our customers have a variety of items to choose from,” Gentile says. “By offering more choices, our shoppers have a much better experience.”

Gentile thanks her hard-working staff for going the extra mile to assist customers and creating a fun shopping experience.

“We’ve made it our top priority to help customers as soon as they walk in the door to help find what they are looking for before they reach the check-out counter,” she says.

“As a team, we’ve grown and become

more productive—and, as you see, it’s made a huge difference.”

Earnhardt family opens Maserati dealership in Gilbert

The Earnhardt family recently opened a Maserati dealership in the San Tan Motorplex at the Loop 202 and Val Vista Drive in Gilbert. Earnhardt Maserati is one of only two dealerships in Arizona that sells this Italian, high-performance luxury car. Earnhardt Maserati has initially stocked about 30 vehicles in three models: the fourdoor salon Quattroporte, the two-door coupe GranTurismo and the Ghibli, priced in the low $70,000s.

“Maseratis are among the most exciting cars sold in America today and give an unforgettable driving experience,” says owner Hal Earnhardt.

He explains that a large inventory is unnecessary because customers are able to order their car to their own specifications and have it built by the factory.

Earnhardt Maserati is housed in a temporary site next to its Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership. Next year, it will build a boutique-style 12,000-square-foot facility on a 1.5-acre site in the San Tan Motorplex. The general manager of the new store is Frank Armani, who is a longtime manager within the Earnhardt organization. Maserati, which was developed in Bologna, Italy, 100 years ago, is now headquartered in Modena, Italy.
