At the Aug. 4 elections, Glendale citizens voted to keep their current representatives for another term. Mayor Jerry Weiers won with 18,245 votes, and his opponent, Michelle Robertson, trailed not too far behind but was defeated with 15,896 votes. Weiers ended with 53% of the total votes. “I’m very, very happy with the results. I worked very, very hard trying to represent the city,” Weiers said. He has been Glendale mayor for eight years. He also served as the representative for District 12 in the Arizona House of Representatives for eight years prior to that. Councilwoman Joyce Clark will also

serve another term and won with 2,536 votes, which came to 58% of the total votes. The remaining 42% went to her opponent, Bryce Alexander, who landed 1,807 votes. “I feel very thankful to those who voted for me and who had enough faith in me to reelect me for another term,” Clark said.
