he first quarter report for campaign finances was due on April 15 for those running election races ahead of the Aug. 2 primary. Bart Turner, Lauren Tolmachoff and Jamie Aldama are running for reelection unopposed in the Barrel, Cholla and Ocotillo districts, respectively. Prior to quarter one, Turner’s campaign value was set at $17,329.93. After receiving $5,500 in donations and dishing out $2,929.30 to support his campaign, Turner’s balance after the first quarter is set at $19,900.63. The Glendale Star calculated his post-

Turner received two total donations between individuals and political action committees, and his largest donation came in the amount of $5,000. Tolmachoff’s value was $2,983.12 ahead of the first quarter. She received the largest amount of donations among herself, Turner and Aldama at $13,356.94, and put $3,520.23 toward her campaign. Tolmachoff’s campaign will enter quarter two valued at $12,819.83. She received 43 total donations between individuals and political action committees, and her largest came in the amount
of $2,000. She also loaned $2,500 to her own campaign. Aldama, who also serves as vice mayor, was valued at $5,948.19 in advance of quarter one. He was given $11,775 in donations and spent $10,059.32 on his campaign, the most among the three incumbent councilmembers. He received 11 total donations between individuals and political action committees, and his largest such donation came in the amount of $5,000. The Nov. 8 general election will not exactly be packed with drama, as all incumbent candidates are running unopposed,

Mesa City Center. Okland Construction, a fourth-generation family-owned company, was selected for the construction project. Most recently, the team completed the renovation of Footprint Center, the home of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury. “This was a highly competitive process where we had outstanding local and national firms offering their vision for this transformative project,” Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps said. “We think the team we have brought together with Holly Street on the architectural side and Okland overseeing the construction aspects is a winning combination of expertise and past

he city of Glendale selected Holly Street Studio and Okland Construction to lead the Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project.
