The Glendale tar

e Glendale Star publishes on ursday. e weekly calendar — a listing of entertainment events such as concerts, theatrical performances, events for schools, churches, county parks and nonprofi t groups — runs every issue.
Events must be open to the public to be considered and generally must be held within the Star’s coverage area, which is in the city of Glendale.
Weekly calendar items print on a space-available basis. e only way to guarantee that an item will print is to purchase an advertisement.
Submissions must reach our offi ce by 4 p.m. ursday to be considered for the following ursday publication. Submissions must be in writing and may be emailed to Christina Fuoco-Karasinski, christina@timespublications.com.

Chamber giving free discount drug cards

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce offers chamber members a free discount drug card.
Savings are up to 75% at over 56,000 pharmacies across the country (savings average around 30%).
The card is especially helpful for the under or uninsured. However, those with insurance can still use the card for a discount on noncovered drugs.
All prescriptions processed through the program are completely confi dential. There isn’t a name on the card.
This Glendale Chamber-provided program includes discounts on eyeglasses, hearing, diabetic supplies and dental, too.
