Family, friends, former students and a Hall of Fame great gathered Saturday to share joyous memories of Orin “O.K.” Fulton, the West Valley’s legendary coach, teacher, principal and leader. After a memorial service at the Church at Litchfield Park, his family held a reception at Agua Fria High School. The reception took place, fittingly, at the O.K. In Goodyear, Mayor Georgia Lord and the city’s six council members are safe. Lord’s term runs through 2022 and the council seats are not up for grabs until
2022 for Joe Pizzillo, Wally Campbel and Brannon Hampton and 2024 for Sheri Lauritano and Bill Stipp. Elsewhere in the West Valley, it’s about to get very interesting, this election year. The mayor position is up for election in
Avondale, Buckeye and Tolleson. Multiple council seats will be up for election in those cities as well as in Litchfield Park. Just making it to the ballot is a victory, as
