Art lovers, crafters & music buffs of Tampa Bay

Cultural Center.

A collaboration among the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce, the SouthShore Arts Council and the Firehouse Cultural Center, this nationally recognized art festival is a proven crowd pleaser that attracts talented career creatives from across Florida and the United States with nearly $14,000 in prize money, a prime location and an expected turnout of over 10,000.

Artworks and crafts you can expect to find for sale include oils, watercolors and acrylics;

glass, sculpture and ceramics; metalworks and woodworking; photography and mixed media; jewelry and fibers; and handcrafted items for home and garden. All of these boutiquequality pieces will be offered for purchase from the artists themselves.

In addition, there will be a free children’s creativity center for the budding Picassos in your family (but parents can get in on the fun, too). The creative play in this space will include fish prints, color sandcastle sculptors, design boards, manatee drawing horses, storytelling from the ruskin library, sun prints, face-painting and balloon art from Jumbo the Pirate! Artwork on display from several local schools.

Six different bands will supply a range of musical entertainment to keep things lively throughout the event, while a food court will

offer ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, barbecue, mullet and more for anyone who wants to nosh while they browse. Wine and cold beer will also be available for purchase.

In case the weather’s hot, there’ll be plenty of shady spots in the park – plus a covered pavilion near the food court. Admission is $5 for adults and free for kids under 12. After a $2-per-carload fee to enter the park, parking is free; and a trolley will be available for anyone wanting a lift to or from the parking area.

Entertainment chambers in July of 2011, combining Apollo Beach and Ruskin. The Apollo Beach chamber was originally founded in 1985 as an all-volunteer welcome center. The Ruskin chamber goes back to 1928, and was the very first chamber in southern Hillsborough County.

These two communities of SouthShore offer the ideal blend of natural beauty, relaxation and recreation. The area combines both waterfront and rural communities, that are fast becoming business destinations as the Tampa Bay area grows.

The mission of the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce is to commit ourselves to growth through proper planning, new membership acquisition and servicing of existing members through value-added projects.

We seek continuous improvement in our ability to provide the leadership needed for effective economic development.

Our vision is to preserve our historic heritage while meeting the changing business needs of our community.

ACTIVE DUTY and Veterans FREE with proper military ID. There is a $2 entry fee, per carload, per Hillsborough County to enter E.G. Simmons Regional Park. This fee goes directly to Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation.

Parking is free; a trolley will be available for anyone wanting a lift between the festival and the parking area.
