LEADING LADY YASAMIN JASEM IS A DRIVEN WOMAN WHO BEGAN HER CAREER AT A YOUNG AGE. LED BY PURPOSE AND GROUNDED IN HER BELIEFS, SHE WEAVES HER FUTURE WITH QUIET CONFIDENCE AND CONTEMPLATION, ONE INTENTIONAL MOVE AT A TIME.
Since her debut, the doe-eyed beauty has been known to easily morph into the characters she plays. While Yasamin’s character in horror films or family dramas play with audiences’ hearts according to their respective genres, the first word that comes to mind when describing the young woman behind the mask is warm. But beneath that warmth lies an intriguingly contemplative mind, where quiet confidence and curiosity intertwine to guide her on the path she walks as both public figure and a bright young woman. It is perhaps this balance between playfulness and purpose that drives the 22-year-old as she navigates her world. Having found her calling at an early age, the stellar actress carefully builds a meaningful life one move at a time, much like moving pieces in chess. Whilst the intentionality behind every move speaks volumes about her wit, Yasamin credits her career to her never-ending curiosity and confidence, both traits that have taken her to new heights. In her younger days, the actress found comfort in the arts and ventured into many creative forms, painting, sculpting, flower arrangement, and more, before finding her calling in acting. "I loved being photographed, dressing up, and playing pretend in my bedroom,” she says with a smile, “I loved creating my own worlds. Unexpectedly, acting found me." Be it manifestation or fate, Yasamin's pastime led her down a bright path in the acting industry. Her first audition, at just five years of age, left her craving for more. The actress remembers the joy she felt—every second of the audition process and every moment on set became fond memories that carried her through the projects that followed. It was later, through her first horror movie, that Yasamin felt her career begin to gain momentum. When asked what made that project so different, she responds thoughtfully, "You could say it's the first project where everyone began to see me as a young adult. It was also the moment when I
32
got more opportunities to play roles in other horror movies." When she takes on the mask of her characters, she finds herself growing alongside them. To her, acting remains a playground, though now she also views it as a learning opportunity and a responsibility. More than anything, Yasamin hopes that she continues to make her younger self proud by pursuing her dream. As she continues to weave her future, Yasamin Jasem throws herself into each role she plays, often having to make decisions that shape the future. Much like a game of chess, the way she navigates her career requires patience and strategy. Yet wellthought-out plans are not necessarily the only important thing on the table. "This year, I'm learning to find a balance between careful planning and trusting my instincts," she reveals, explaining that both are necessary to make career decisions while remaining adaptive. Perhaps it is exactly this adaptable mindset that has helped pull her through tough calls and bold decisions. When asked about one such decision, the once long-haired actress reveals, "One of the boldest moves I've made is cutting my hair really short, a style that is so far from what the younger Yasamin would have chosen, for a project." It is only through interviews such as these that the world gets to see a rare glimpse into such a bright mind. Having been active since her early years, Yasamin's long tenure has not been without disadvantages. She nods when asked whether she had turned down an opportunity because it did not feel right: "Before making any decision, I take my time to weigh the outcomes from multiple perspectives, not just for myself but also the ripples it may create for those closest to me." On that note, there are certain compromises that the principled actress would never make. In the intimate interview, she discloses that unhealthy environments and losing herself in a job are two such things. In addition to being a creative, Yasamin takes her assumed responsibility as a public figure just as seriously: "As a public figure, I feel the need to take accountability for my work. If I don't feel like I'm 100% all in, then I would rather opt out of an opportunity." Additionally, it is undeniable that the scrutiny and comparisons that come with being a public figure have driven even the most
successful actors to crack under pressure. Yet somehow, the wise actress leans into it with a quiet strength: "We can't avoid comparisons, whether they are made by our inner voices or others. One piece of advice that has stuck with me is to view them as inspiration, to recognise my own strengths and limitations, and to continue to create work that remains true to myself." Throughout the interview, it is abundantly clear that Yasamin Jasem is a grounded young woman who is certain of her own identity. It is this self-reassurance and confidence that allow her to not only brush aside comparisons, but also the misconceptions that come with the spotlight. Having accepted the nature of the industry, she stays steadfast, proving others wrong, never failing to maintain an admirable work ethic and positivity on sets. Often whisked away by schedules and events, maintaining a healthy routine has become a key factor in Yasamin's life. Beguiling in CHANEL's Coco Game 2026 capsule collection, the stylish woman also seeks solace in the small things in life: "I try to stay grounded through spending time with myself, just to breathe, enjoy the sun, and have a good cup of coffee in the morning away from distractions or gadgets." It may well be that living life to the fullest is what keeps her grounded and motivated, which explains the way she beamed when asked about her next big move: "I'm planning to do a solo trip maybe towards the end of this year." It is during these small moments, and even in the rhythms of everyday life, that the charming leading lady continues to learn more about herself. "Every day is a learning curve," she shares with a smile, explaining that facing and adjusting to new challenges, individuals, and experiences are part of daily life. "We do not only learn from the things or people we face, but also from how we face them as individuals, who we are, and why we cope or react in such ways." Far beyond her profession, Yasamin's answer seems to encompass all parts of her life, including both her personal and interpersonal life: "There is a lot that I am still learning, but for now my focus is on how I can communicate better and be more open with people." Like any thoughtful move on a chessboard, her intentionality and positive outlook prepare her for future adventures and lessons that would ultimately shape the strong woman she is steadily becoming.

he air grows still as leading lady Yasamin Jasem sinks back into her seat, her eyes locked onto the chess pieces in front of her. It is hard not to notice the calm countenance that has graced big screens across the nation: the strong brows that frame compelling eyes, lips that hint at a soft smile, and an exuberant aura that seems to radiate even beyond the screen.

ROLEX UNVEILS THE NEWLY REDESIGNED OYSTER PERPETUAL YACHT-MASTER II, DEDICATED TO YACHTING ENTHUSIASTS AND DRIVEN BY A HIGH-PRECISION CHRONOGRAPH

Available in Oystersteel or 18-carat yellow gold, the Oyster case of the Yacht-Master II measures 44 mm and is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres. SMOOTH SAILING
This year, Rolex continues its legacy in creating dependable regatta instruments with the newgeneration Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II. Now simplified and modernised, it features an entirely redesigned countdown function that can more effectively assist sailors during the critical start sequence of races. With an improved display for enhanced legibility and easier manipulation, the countdown scale now appears on a flange, and the function is programmed and operated exclusively via the two side pushers.
typical of Professional-category watches. The flange dedicated to the countdown function is positioned precisely on the middle case, an attribute for which a patent application was filed. It is graduated from 10 to 0 minutes, with the half minutes shown as triangles. For the version in Oystersteel, these markers are red, a colour also found on the hands related to the countdown function. On the right side of the case, the two pushers for programming and using the countdown function are shaped like winches, the devices used by sailors to wind a yacht’s ropes in or out. Notably, the countdown minute and seconds hands on this timepiece turn counterclockwise—a first for Rolex—making the information they display, namely time counting down towards zero, clearly readable for the wearer. The new-generation Yacht-Master II is equipped with calibre 4162, an evolution of calibre 4161 that powered the previous

version of the model. This new movement incorporates a number of Rolex’s major innovations, including the Chronergy escapement, and boasts improvements to its aesthetics such as a cut-out oscillating weight and new finishes, particularly on the bridges, which are embellished with Rolex Côtes de Genève, the brand’s reinterpretation of a wellknown decoration in watchmaking. Calibre 4162 enables the Yacht-Master II to count down the time remaining before the start of a regatta via the countdown function, in addition to displaying the hours, minutes and seconds. Calibre 4162 is equipped with a selfwinding system via a Perpetual rotor. Thanks to its barrel architecture and the escapement’s superior efficiency, the power reserve of this movement extends to approximately 72 hours. For greater harmony of the case and bracelet, the Oyster bracelet on this timepiece is slightly broader than on the previous version, and its Oysterlock clasp is slimmer. The Oyster bracelet is furnished with the Oysterlock folding safety clasp, which prevents accidental opening, and features the Easylink comfort extension link created by Rolex that allows the wearer to easily adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm.
Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II in Oystersteel
Crafted specifically for regatta starting sequences, the Yacht-Master II is an innovative tool that allows sailors to adopt the best possible strategy for the critical start phase of a race. This nautical instrument, like all Rolex watches, carries the Superlative Chronometer certification, with strengthened criteria since 2026, which ensures excellent performance on the wrist.

BIG BANG SUMMER Leading the collection is the Big Bang Summer Multi-Coloured Ceramic 42 mm, and it’s nothing short of a technicolour triumph. Limited to just 200 pieces worldwide, this timepiece features a sculpted case in microblasted and polished pink and mint green ceramic, crowned by a sky-blue ceramic bezel that extends seamlessly onto a matching case back. It’s a composition that feels as though someone bottled a Riviera sunrise and poured it straight into the metal. The dial, in matt pink and mint green, doesn’t just sit atop the case. It effortlessly balances high-concept visual poetry with daily sportswatch durability, creating a fluid visual rhythm that carries the eye from bezel to the hands. Six of Hublot’s signature H-shaped titanium screws punctuate the bezel. This small but unmistakable design signature roots the piece firmly in Big Bang heritage even as it explores new aesthetic territory. The chromatic harmony also flows smoothly onto the case back. Beneath the candycoloured exterior beats the HUB1280, Hublot’s in-house UNICO Manufacture selfwinding chronograph movement, delivering an approximate 72-hour power reserve. This

Rounding out the experience, wearers can switch between sky-blue, mint green, and pink straps thanks to Hublot’s One-Click system, all fitted with a titanium deployant buckle. It’s less a watch and more a mood board you can wear, letting the Mediterranean’s every shade of light live on the wrist, showing the true pulse of daily summer luxury. For the elite tier of horological collectors, Hublot scales the heights of haute horlogerie with the Big Bang Summer Multi-Coloured Ceramic 44 mm, making this extraordinary horological object an ultra-rare expression of mechanical virtuosity. Put simply, if the 42 mm chronograph is about vibrant expression, the 44 mm Tourbillon version is about architectural depth.

Created in a striking limited run of just 10 pieces, this is Hublot at its most exclusive and its most transparent, quite literally.
The watch shares the same evocative multicoloured case architecture as its chronograph sibling, featuring a striking combination of microblasted and polished pink and mint green ceramic for the main body, paired with a vibrant sky-blue ceramic bezel. However, the Tourbillon spans a commanding 44 mm profile with a slightly leaner thickness of 14.4 mm. Of particular note is the dial that transforms this piece into something else entirely: a transparent pink sapphire crystal that lays the mechanism completely bare, exposing every gear, bridge, and rotation to the light. The result amplifies depth, dimension, and mechanical drama in equal measure. Powering this architectural statement is the HUB6035, Hublot’s manufacture automatic tourbillon movement, comprising 293 components. Interestingly, Hublot rewrites mechanical expectations by placing a highly efficient micro-rotor directly on the dial side at 12 o’clock, creating visual balance with the spinning tourbillon cage at 6 o’clock. Lightness, depth, and precision merge here into a single mechanical signature, one that turns the simple act of
AU DACIOUS OFFE R I NG Building on the Big Bang’s 20th anniversary, Hublot presents the Big Bang Reloaded collection. Crafted from the materials that built Hublot, several of which celebrate key anniversaries in 2026, the timepieces in the collection usher the Big Bang and the Unico legacy into the next era. First up in the line is the Big Bang Reloaded Titanium Ceramic. Measuring 44 mm, it combines lightweight aerospace-grade titanium with technical ceramic to ensure robustness, along with a titanium bezel and case fitted with a black ceramic case back, just like the very first Big Bang Unico launched in 2013. Powered by the HUB 1280 Unico Manufacture self-winding chronograph, which provides it a 72-hour power reserve, the watch comes with a black rubber and fabric strap with special “H” stitching, which can be easily be interchanged with a classic rubber strap thanks to the patented “One Click” System.
40
STEALTHY STATE M E NT Renowned throughout the watch industry for the very first combination of gold and rubber in a watch in 1980, Hublot has adopted the Art of Fusion as its guiding philosophy. Equipped with an audacious attitude of breaking boundaries, it shook the world of haute horology with the Big Bang in 2005. A year later, it introduced the All Black Concept, where light is defined by volume and texture, beyond its colour. This year, Hublot presents the Big Bang Reloaded All Black, a worthy follow-up to the daring original. Marking 20 years of the radical “visibility through invisibility”, the new timepiece remains loyal to the signature Big Bang elements, such as the 44 mm diameter, the unique sandwich construction, the six visible screws, while also asserting a bolder and sportier character. This time however, an all-new Unico calibre drives it, whose colour, contrast and architecture amplify the chronograph’s unique construction, with the dial-side column wheel and integrated flyback architecture now designed to be more visible than ever. 41
B LU E EXPLOS ION Showcasing Hublot’s full-colour high-tech ceramic mastery is the Big Bang Reloaded Blue Ceramic. Now rendered 300 Vickers harder than its conventional counterpart, this ceramic offering is robust, sporty and truly set apart because of its unique blue hue. Boasting an amplified architecture like the rest of the Reloaded family, it has a two-part bezel, creating sharper contrasts that allow for the dynamic interaction between materials and finishes. The multilayer dial plays with textures and surfaces, giving depth and a technical edge. The chronograph becomes a standout feature, with a coloured ring on the 4 o’clock push-piece, a redesigned minutes counter at 3 o’clock, a flyback inscription and the date repositioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. Equipped with the new Unico calibre, which provides it with a 72-hour power reserve, the watch is backed by an evolved warranty structure for eligible timepieces purchased from January 1, 2026 onwards, featuring a 5-year basic warranty and the possibility of an additional 5-year extension for eligible timepieces through the Hublotista programme. 42
R E STRAI N E D POWE R Just like the Big Bang Reloaded Blue Ceramic, the Big Bang Reloaded Dark Green Ceramic also benefits from Hublot’s full-colour high-tech ceramic mastery. Mysterious and all powerful, the satin-finished and polished dark green ceramic case perfectly combines with the polished black-plated titanium with a satin-finished black ceramic upper bezel. At its heart beats the HUB 1280 Unico Manufacture self-winding chronograph, with five patented innovations, covering: a backlash-compensating oscillating clutch, an anti-shaking chronograph hand system, a “zero friction” ratchet wheel blocker, a watch rate fine-adjustment system and highly shock-resistant time-setting, all rigorously tested through Hublot’s Chronofiable® protocol to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and precision. Completing the timepiece is a black rubber and dark green fabric strap with special “H” stitching.

MASTE R OF MATE R IALS In addition to the Big Bang’s 20th anniversary as well as the 20th anniversary of the All Black Concept, Hublot also celebrates 15 years of Magic Gold. First presented in 2011, Magic Gold is a true fusion of 24-carat gold— the ultimate noble and natural material—with the most high-tech mastery of ceramic. By injecting liquid gold into the cold-pressed boron carbide components at very high pressure, Hublot has managed to create a completely unique material, composed of gold and ceramic, that can only be scratched by diamond. This year, the Big Bang Reloaded Magic Gold celebrates the world’s first scratch-resistant 18-carat gold, the second hardest material after diamond, created through four years of R&D in partnership with EPFL’s Metallurgy Lab, produced entirely in-house at Hublot Manufacture in Nyon and distinguished by its signature bronze glow. Water-resistant to 100 metres, the watch is undeniably an unparalleled masterpiece.

U N STOPPAB LE D R IVE Joining the Reloaded collection are two commemorative pieces that pay tribute to two giants in their chosen fields. First up is the Big Bang Reloaded Usain Bolt, a bespoke signature collection created with the fastest man in history, Usain Bolt. Crafted in 44 mm black ceramic and carbon, it encapsulates Usain’s story, from the Jamaican soil that forged his speed found on the case back to the gold-engraved mantra on its bezel: “Anything is Possible, Don’t Think Limits.” Meanwhile, the Big Bang Reloaded Kylian Mbappé is a watch built with football icon and Hublot Ambassador Kylian Mbappé. Rendered in 44 mm polished white ceramic and 18K King Gold, the timepiece is the encapsulation of Mbappé’s mindset: fearless, decisive, always one step ahead. Engraved at 6 o’clock on the bezel is the footballer’s mantra “Trust Yourself”. Both powered by the HUB 1280 Unico Manufacture self-winding chronograph, the watches are limited editions of 200 pieces

The Big Bang Petrol Blue Ceramic 33 mm offers a more unisex appeal
On the other hand, for those seeking a technical edge, the 42 mm Big Bang Titanium Peach Ceramic integrates this fresh hue across its bezel, hands skeletonised dial and rubber strap. Housed in a lightweight titanium case, the peach ceramic delivers a sportier, more graphic take on the season’s softest colour story. What’s more, all of these summer releases are generously backed by Hublot’s extended 5+5 warranty, offering comprehensive international coverage for up to 10 years.
checking the time into something closer to admiring a kinetic sculpture. Delivering a robust 72-hour power reserve like the chronograph, this timepiece also incorporates the seamless One-Click system, allowing owners to instantly swap between sky blue, mint green, and pink white-lined rubber straps, anchored by a titanium deployant buckle clasp, completing the absolute apex of the Art of Fusion.
NEW CERAMIC HUES To round out the seasonal launch, Hublot has also introduced a series of monochromatic ceramic expressions executed in peach, mint green, and petrol blue. For the first time in the Big Bang’s history, the 33 mm case appears entirely without diamonds, letting saturated, single-tone colour take full command of the aesthetic. Powered by the HUB1120 self-winding movement, these versions dress the dial, case, bezel, and strap in one uninterrupted hue, resulting in a purity of design that feels bold and speaks for itself.
The Big Bang Mint Green Ceramic 33 mm exudes fresh summer vibes
In summary, Hublot’s mastery of pastel ceramics proves that the brand remains the undisputed maestro of materials. From the sculpted glow of the 42 mm chronograph to the transparent artistry of the 44 mm tourbillon and the bold minimalism of the new monochrome ceramics, Hublot’s Summer 2026 lineup proves that pastel doesn’t mean quiet. The soft, sun-kissed shades of summer deliver precision wrapped in technology, proof that when it comes to coloured ceramic, nobody sets the tone quite like Hublot.

is often associated with exuberant numerals and highly technical creations, the Vanguard Sfumato Slim demonstrates a different side of Franck Muller’s creative identity—one that prioritises atmosphere, emotion, and understated sophistication. The redesign centres on the concept of “sfumato,” the celebrated artistic technique popularised by Leonardo da Vinci, where colours and tones blend seamlessly without harsh outlines. Translating this idea into watchmaking, Franck Muller has created a collection of dials featuring soft gradient transitions that appear to dissolve into the edges of the case. The effect evokes the fleeting moments between day and night, when light softens and colours melt into one another. Unlike previous Vanguard models, which are renowned for their oversized numerals and sporty visual presence, the Vanguard Sfumato Slim adopts minimalist indexes, allowing the dial’s nuanced colour play to take centre stage.
materials. The dial options comprise Blue, Olive, Grey, and Brown, each offered in either 18-carat rose gold or stainless steel. Every dial features a sunray-brushed finish enhanced by multiple layers of lacquer and a Zapon varnish coating, producing the signature sfumato gradient effect. Matching coloured inserts on both sides of the case further reinforce visual continuity, while colour-coordinated leather straps complete the monochromatic aesthetic. Powering all eight references is the automatic Franck Muller calibre MVT FM 708-S6.
The case is fitted with sapphire crystals and offers water resistance to 30 metres. Enhancing both aesthetics and comfort is the integrated leather strap system, secured using concealed screws rather than conventional spring bars. This construction creates a seamless transition between case and strap while maintaining the distinctive ergonomic qualities for which the Vanguard collection is known. Depending on the version selected, the strap is paired with either an 18-carat rose gold or stainless steel buckle.
Equally significant is the watch’s slimmer profile. Measuring 41 mm in width, 49.95 mm in length, and only 9.1 mm thick, the new model offers a noticeably more refined wrist presence while retaining the recognisable tonneau-shaped Vanguard architecture. The streamlined proportions create a more versatile and elegant character, appealing to collectors seeking contemporary luxury with everyday wearability. The collection is available in eight versions, combining four dial colours with two case
Composed of 125 components, the movement measures 29.9 mm in diameter and 3.73 mm in thickness, operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph. It delivers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and displays hours, minutes, as well as a small seconds indication positioned at 6 o’clock. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the movement showcases traditional decorative finishes including Côtes de Genève on the bridges and rotor plate, perlage on the mainplate, bevelled components, sunray brushing, snailing, circular satin finishing and satin brushing.
Vanguard Sfumato Slim in brown
More than simply a slimmer Vanguard, the Vanguard Sfumato Slim introduces an entirely new visual language within the collection. Through its atmospheric gradient dials, paredback design, and elegant proportions, Franck Muller transforms the passage of time into a poetic expression of light and shadow— capturing the beauty of those rare moments that linger long after the sun has disappeared beyond the horizon.

Just like the movement, the case components, whether in ceramic or titanium, have been finished with the same level of attention as precious metals. The first timepiece presents a “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” ceramic case enriched with subtle titanium details, including “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” push-pieces with titanium pushpiece guards and a “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” ceramic and titanium screw-locked crown. This deep blue ceramic shade, which pays tribute to the Manufacture’s heritage, was unveiled last year to celebrate the brand’s 150th anniversary, notably on the bezel of a 43 mm Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph model. Complementing the richness of the blue case is a beige Méga Tapisserie dial with “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” accents, creating a striking twotone design. “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” counters, rhodium-coated pink gold hour-markers, 18-carat white gold hands with luminescent material, and a beige inner bezel complete the dial. A new shade adds vibrance to the watch, as seen in its smoked green PVD Méga Tapisserie dial, which enhances legibility. Black and beige elements enable the wearer to see information more clearly as evidenced by the black counters with beige external zones, blackened 18-carat white gold hourmarkers and hands with beige luminescent material, as well as the black inner bezel. An interchangeable grey-green rubber strap with a titanium AP pin buckle adds a lively and sporty touch to the piece.

in constant rotation around an axis, in all positions, the system ensures that the balanceand-spring assembly’s centre of gravity is continually realigned with the axis of rotation. This compensates for the adverse effects of the uneven oscillation of a watch held in a static position. Following this breakthrough, the founder then waited six years to have the
invention patented. Once it was approved, another six years passed before he was able to sell watches that featured the Tourbillon. Since then, the Manufacture has continued to foster the progress of the great watchmaker’s invention, constantly drawing on its original inspiration, while over the decades introducing valuable technical refinements

serving a single purpose: the quest for precision. Celebrating the 225th anniversary of the Tourbillon patent, the brand honours the momentum and evolutions AbrahamLouis set in motion with an array of exclusive anniversary timepieces that amalgamate something old and something new.
The Classique Tourbillon 7357 is also available in 18-carat Breguet gold
The Classique Tourbillon 7357 sets the stage for Breguet’s special collection, its platinum or Breguet gold executions laying the groundwork for the cherished anniversary. The two variations capture the grandeur of Ref. 3350 (1989), the first contemporary Breguet Tourbillon wristwatch that went on to amass a devoted following. At the core of its Clous de Paris guilloché dial lie two artistic focal points, one for the dial and 47
FEATURE another for Cal. 187B. True to its lineage, the hand-wound movement oscillates at 18,000 vph (2.5Hz), much like the original Ref. 3350, yet is now renewed with the Breguet Nivachron® balance spring enhancing magnetic resistance, as well as an optimised 60-hour power reserve. The radiance of both the 950 platinum and 18-carat Breguet gold references are complemented by matching calfskin straps, in beige for the gold and grey for the platinum, which contrast with the deep hues of Breguet’s next act, the Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255. In form, the Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255 shares similarities with Breguet’s opening act, its 38 mm construction layering the central dial above the impressionable core. Unlike the Classique Tourbillon 7357, however, this platinum timepiece is the first Breguet

watch to boast a flying Tourbillon. The flying Tourbillon is a variation on the traditional Tourbillon invented by A.-L. Breguet. Its purpose (to counteract the effects of gravity on the balance by rotating the cage enclosing it) remains unchanged. Unlike the traditional Tourbillon, however, the flying Tourbillon has a cage held only by its lower bridge, with no upper bridge. It is therefore supported solely from below, giving the impression that it is floating in mid-air, hence its name. To accentuate the suspended effect of its flying Tourbillon, Breguet has complemented it with a mysterious construction, a technique dating back to the late 19th century. The mysterious complication involves setting a component into motion without it being visibly connected to the rest of the movement. Incorporating this “mysterious” display that the brand has

not used for nearly 20 years, the enigmatic model—a limited edition of 50 pieces—paints a picture of a star-studded sky that honours the founder’s own pull towards astronomy. The luxury watchmaker transcends imagination with the new Tradition Tourbillon 7047, a showstopper that Gregory Kissling deems “resolutely forward-looking and very different from its predecessors.” Inspired by Abraham-Louis Breguet’s inventions, including the constant-force escapement and the Tourbillon, the Tradition Tourbillon 7047 celebrates the 225th anniversary of the Tourbillon patent. Limited to 25 pieces, the Tradition Tourbillon 7047 now astounds in an entirely blue palette, in a Bleu de France shade adorning the dial and bridges, including not only the Tourbillon bridges, but also the large fusee-and-chain bridge that appears on either side of the time subdial. This unique treatment breathes new life onto both the original and 2007 versions. Like deconstructed clockwork, the intricate Calibre 569 acts as a beguiling backdrop to the Grand Feu Bleu de France enamel dial encased in 41 mm platinum.
In rounding off the watches celebrating the anniversary of the Tourbillon, Breguet once again aligns the stars for the exceptional Marine Tourbillon Équation Marchante 5887. Built around A.-L. Breguet’s endeavours in marine chronometry, the 43.9 mm platinum timepiece powered by Calibre 581DPE debuts a bewitching Grand Feu enamel dial that glimmers like the Parisian night of 26 June 1801, the day A.-L. Breguet secured his Tourbillon patent. Adorned by intricate constellations and the moon, its hour indicators, windows, and hands complete the night sky, whilst the Tourbillon is proudly showcased at the bottom of the dial.
The Marine Tourbillon Équation Marchante 5887 is a special watch that can be personalised
The reimagined timepiece is a nod to the 18th century Royal Louis ship and King Louis XVIII, both of which played integral roles in Breguet’s flourishing as a revered brand. Paired with a Bleu de France rubber strap with the Quai de l’Horloge motif, all 25 pieces of the special Marine Tourbillon Équation Marchante 5887 can be personalised with the sky corresponding to a specific date and location of one’s choosing, a unique feature that will make the watch truly one’s own.

Dulcet Rhythms AWARD-WINNING ACTOR AND MUSICIAN JEROME KURNIA FINDS HARMONY BETWEEN THE FILM SET AND THE RECORDING STUDIO, EMBRACING THE LESSONS AND GROWTH THAT COME WITH EVERY NEW PURSUIT.
As he offers a peek into his day-to-day life, Jerome gets candid about his current stature in the industry. “Growing up, I never imagined myself working in the creative industry,” he says, “When I was a kid, I always thought that working as an adult meant being a lawyer, a doctor, or someone who worked in an office.” He confesses that he began to feel a sense of emptiness as he stepped into law school, following a definition of “success” that did not ring true to him. The emerging adult who once shone in school theatres, musicals, and singing competitions found the courage to enter the creative industry. It was then that Jerome Kurnia began to find real joy in his work. Jerome’s first experience in the industry was on the set of “Bumi Manusia” (2019), a film adaptation of Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s groundbreaking novel, directed by Hanung Bramantyo. Having worked in a law firm after graduation and briefly as a radio announcer, the magnetic man is grateful to have been entrusted with his first ever role as Robert Suurhof in the 2019 film. He reminisces, “I can still remember how happy I was as a debuting actor. When I wanted to pursue my master's degree, acting offers started coming in, but I didn't land most auditions until “Bumi Manusia”. Every character I’ve played has taught me a lesson or even changed me as an individual, but there was no one like Robert Suurhof. This role showed my capability in the industry and helped me earn the trust people placed in me as an actor.” His efforts were not in vain, as more offers soon started coming in. Shortly after filming “Bumi Manusia”, Jerome was cast in various
54
films, including “Dilan 1991” (2019). One of his most celebrated performances to date, however, remains “Penyalin Cahaya” (2021), which won him a Citra Award for Best Supporting Actor. “It was a massive milestone for me,” he fondly recalls, “Winning that award was a reminder that I could do this for a living, and that people believed in and appreciated me as an actor. It was both a reminder and a gift that boosted my sense of self-worth. It showed me that I can continue to strive, work harder, stay curious, and keep exploring other characters to spread my wings even further.” As one could imagine from his impressive filmography and discography, the suave vocalist of Ricecooker is not one to passively wait, especially when it comes to finding inspiration. Be it for his acting or music, Jerome finds a thrill in the exploration phase. He approaches each project with a level head, going so far as to call the beginning his favourite part of the process, all the while protecting his inner peace. "Very early on, many of my friends would say that you must get the 'best' or most 'artistic' roles. I don't quite agree with that. Instead, we need to see how the industry is evolving without panicking or viewing it purely through a competitive lens. It should be seen as blooming in a beautiful garden—we need a mindset where we simply do what we believe in and what we are genuinely curious about." While he is immensely energised by his roles, Jerome acknowledges the hard work and long hours that everyone puts into the making of a film. "I think people don't see how hard we work behind the scenes," he remarks. "Human rights for filmmakers in Indonesia are still very poor. Sometimes, we have to work 20 hours a day. Yes, we do it happily, but I believe our working conditions should, and must, be better." Between takes, Jerome Kurnia does not fail to return to the hobbies that first brought him joy as a young boy. Just as he navigates the shoot's vibrant rooms with his timeless Cartier timepiece, the actor moves between disciplines with remarkable ease. From musical theatre to The Beatles, his love for music knows no bounds and ultimately inspired him to start a band with his friends. "For me, being able to pursue a different path by forming a band with my friends, Will Mara and Alif Keenan Ibrahim, has been a true
blessing. I feel privileged enough to have the time, energy, and the right people around me to pursue and fulfil yet another lifelong dream, that of making music." When asked how he views the two creative worlds, Jerome observes both similarities and differences in the creative process. He elaborates, "Acting does require you to be someone else, but all characters share one thing in common with me: my own point of view as that character. I feel like music can show who we are as a band, how we feel, what is happening around us in our personal lives, and we let it out. Meanwhile, with acting, one must think through the character, what, how, where, and when, to project it onto the screen. Both are forms of storytelling, and both are highly collaborative, just through completely different media." While the two roles require deep focus, Jerome explains that his identity is further emphasised through acting and music, rather than diminished by them. "It makes my arms longer; I can reach further. These outlets allow me to speak out more and show more of myself, my thoughts, and my feelings. Hence, I feel like I am more truly myself through these outlets. I will never lose even a little bit of myself; it's quite the opposite." Looking back on his journey, the hardworking creative sees it as one filled with excitement, embracing all the lessons, experiences, and life phases that come with it. Explaining why he does not have a specific benchmark for growth, Jerome says, "I always feel like I am constantly growing. I don't look at milestones, and I don't necessarily see myself as being different from who I was 10 or 15 years ago. I feel like the main difference now is simply the privilege I have—being able to get more jobs and having more options. Ultimately, I feel like I have always been growing, and I still am." Even through his work, Jerome is guided by bigger, often philosophical questions, such as what the older version of himself might look like, both personally and professionally. When asked what his next chapter looks like, Jerome's eyes glimmer with excitement. "I want to show my rhythm to other rhythms that I've never met before, to try new things and explore new industries, work with international collaborators, and celebrate the language we all share: the language of making art."

he world according to Jerome Kurnia is one of vivid colours, a palette that finds its way into every role he inhabits and every melody he strums. Having earned accolades for “Perang Kota” (2025) and “Penyalin Cahaya” (2021), the actor has left lasting impressions through “Bumi Manusia”, “Like & Share”, and countless other films. Outside of acting, the 32-yearold creative can often be seen pursuing other endeavours, one of which is music. His serenades and strumming, once kept in private, have gone viral following his debut alongside his band, Ricecooker. Since 2024, the indie band has gone on to release irresistible tunes such as “Sunday Song” and “If You Let Me”.

Moments we simply refuse to forget.
THE PENDANT Some women collect destinations. She had discovered a new preference: collecting detours. Portofino unfolded like a painted postcard, where every pastel façade hid another terrace, another story, another excuse to linger. Floating medallions, each adorned with mesmerising blue mosaics, moved gently with every gesture, catching candlelight before disappearing into the shadows. THE BRACELET Every summer eventually comes to an end, though the remarkable ones never really leave our hearts. On her final morning, she stood quietly on the terrace, watching mist dissolve over distant mountains. The Possession Vibrant Palace bracelet circled her wrist like a private ritual, its signature rotating motif turning gently beneath her fingertips. To her, the curves and textures were familiar now, comforting even. Throughout history, circles have symbolised protection, prosperity, and infinite possibility. Piaget embraces that timeless language, enriching its iconic Possession collection with vibrant ornamental stones whose unique lines ensure no two creations are ever exactly alike. Each composition of turquoise, sodalite, and dumortierite is a living mosaic, rendered in earrings, rings, pendants, bracelets, and a necklace. A celebration of colour, craftsmanship, and character, she realised then that jewellery is never merely decorative. The finest pieces become companions, talismans of memories. As she spun the bracelet into one effortless rotation, she smiled. Summer had never been about escaping ordinary life; it had always been about discovering a more beautiful way to return to it.

Suspended from a delicate pink gold chain, the Possession Vibrant Palace pendant mirrored that very mosaic. Its circular silhouette framed a universe of shifting blues, meticulously assembled into an artwork that felt both ancient and strikingly modern. The Decor Palace engraving caught the Mediterranean sun while diamonds flickered like reflections on the water’s surface. Catching her reflection throughout the afternoon, she found herself admiring the pendant. It reminded her that elegance, much like adventure, begins with curiosity.

JÉRÔME CAVADINI Panerai Chief Operating Officer DISCOVER MORE
EXECUTING EXCELLENCE
T
here is something remarkably consistent about the people of Panerai. Whether speaking with its watchmakers in Neuchâtel, its executives at Watches and Wonders, or its leadership team over the years, the conversation always comes back to the same idea: identity. This marks our third interview with Jérôme Cavadini, Chief Operating Officer of Panerai, and what remains unchanged is not just his enthusiasm,
but his unwavering belief in what the Maison stands for. Rather than chasing trends, every decision—whether in design, engineering or manufacturing—is guided by a single question: Is it still unmistakably Panerai? That philosophy is evident throughout the company. From the Laboratorio di Idee, where new materials and movements are developed while staying true to the brand’s
DNA, to an operational culture that values long-term reliability, reflected in Panerai’s eight-year warranty. As Jérôme explains in the conversation that follows, complexity should remain hidden beneath the dial, while the wearer experiences clarity, confidence and effortless usability. It is this rare combination of technical ambition, creative discipline and genuine passion that have defined the Maison for decades. What has surprised you most about stepping into the role of COO at a brand as emotionally driven as Panerai? Becoming COO was never part of the original plan, so in many ways the role has been full of surprises. One of the biggest challenges is accepting that meaningful development takes time. There are moments when a project feels impossible, when you’re faced with obstacles and people tell you, “It can’t be done.”
The Luminor 31 Giorni PAM01631 is a landmark milestone in Panerai’s pursuit of extended autonomy

Panerai’s watches have always felt purpose-built, almost like professional instruments. How do you preserve that functional DNA while simultaneously responding to today’s increasingly lifestyle-driven audience? One of the principles Emmanuel Perrin, Chief Executive Officer of Panerai, always
By Erika Tania Dessyandra
Then one day, the team comes back and says, “We’ve found the solution.” That’s an incredibly rewarding moment. I wouldn’t compare it to parenthood, but there is something similar about watching an idea grow. You nurture it through countless challenges, constant “yes” and “no” discussions, and eventually everything comes together. That process of solving problems and making the impossible possible is one of the most stimulating parts of my job.
reminds us of is, “We have to be what we are.” Whatever the latest trends may be, we cannot lose sight of our identity. If fluorescent colours suddenly became the biggest fashion trend, we wouldn’t simply follow it. People choose Panerai because they appreciate clean dials, robust construction, reliability, and the history behind the Maison. Those qualities should remain timeless. I bought my own PAM00058 back in 2004. I still wear it on weekends, and most people would never guess it’s more than 20 years old. That’s exactly what we strive for. Of course, we pay close attention to changing lifestyles and evolving customer needs, particularly when it comes to functionality and pricing. But every new model we introduce must remain faithful to Panerai’s heritage. In an industry built on centuries of tradition, where do you allow yourself to take risks? When it comes to design, we’re relatively cautious because preserving our identity is essential. We won’t suddenly produce a 32 mm watch simply because it’s fashionable. We take measured risks, but always within the framework of our DNA. Where we are much bolder is in materials and complications. What people see today is the result of

countless experiments behind the scenes. For every successful innovation, there are many others that never make it to production. Some prove too expensive, others impossible to machine or decorate, while some simply don’t meet international regulations. Innovation naturally comes with failure. That’s part of the process. But when it comes to protecting the Panerai identity, the tolerance for risk is virtually zero.
The new P.2031/S hand-wound skeleton calibre drives the Luminor 31 Giorni PAM01631 and provides it with an unprecedented 31-day power reserve
Among this year’s novelties, which creations make you particularly proud?
How do you ensure that operational excellence never comes at the expense of the maison’s creativity?
Two stand out. The first is the new Luminor 31 Giorni PAM01631 with a power reserve of 31 days. It’s an extraordinary technical achievement with very few direct competitors, particularly at this level of accessibility. The second is our work with hafnium for the Submersible Navy Seals AfniotechTM Experience PAM01089. This material was developed through a collaboration between Panerai and the Richemont Research team.
The key is identifying challenges as early as possible. Every project goes through several development phases before reaching production. During those stages, we often discover unexpected obstacles. That’s why development is rarely linear. New discoveries constantly reshape your plans. By contrast, when we’re working with proven materials like steel and established movements, the process becomes much more predictable. There are still design iterations, but far fewer technical unknowns. For highly complicated projects, development can easily take five, six or even seven years.
Hafnium itself is an exceptionally rare element, traditionally used in military and nuclear applications because of its remarkable resistance to corrosion and radiation. When we first had the opportunity to obtain a small quantity, we immediately began exploring its potential for watchmaking. Today, we’ve created the world’s first watch made from 95% pure hafnium. It has a distinctive blue-grey appearance, exceptional density and a unique tactile quality. It’s the result of years of research, experimentation and persistence, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud to share.

FRANZISKA GSELL ETTERLIN IWC Schaffhausen Chief Marketing Officer DISCOVER MORE
INTO THE FUTURE
Constantly pushing the boundaries, IWC has become renowned as the Engineer of Watchmaking. This year, at Watches and Wonders 2026, IWC presented an impressive array of novelties that showcased its wide range of expertise, from engineering a watch that can be used in space to commemorative timepieces that not only highlight the brand’s heritage but also put the focus on its material development.
I would simply say that IWC is renowned as the engineer of watchmaking and engineers are actually never happy, they always feel like they can do it a little bit better, and therefore an engineer tries to solve complex topics and this is what we translate into our watches, and what you see this year is our 90th year legacy in Pilot’s watches. To celebrate that we are venturing into space. This is the New Space Age as we call it, and we have designed and developed the Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive with astronauts, a watch they can use in space flight. When you look at the Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive, you will notice that it looks completely
The Time Place Magazine recently had the distinct privilege of discussing these new models with Franziska Gsell Etterlin, IWC’s Chief Marketing Officer. Responsible for developing and implementing IWC’s global product, marketing and communications strategy across all markets and channels, Franziska is instrumental in ensuring that IWC’s message and product information are conveyed clearly to all its networks. This year’s novelties feel like a remarkable leap in technology yet they remain instantly familiar, deeply rooted in IWC’s DNA. In an industry that often celebrates complexity, IWC brings innovation to life with a sense of ease. What makes IWC’s approach to innovation feel so natural rather than technical? 66
different than other watches, it looks very futuristic. The timepiece doesn’t have a crown; you navigate using the vertical drive system via the bezel. This is also designed in collaboration with VAST. VAST is designing and engineering the next space stations. They even won the competition for the ISS in 2023 and they are developing the first commercial space station, which will be in orbit as early as March 2027. Apart from the Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive, we are proud to also showcase our 40 years in perpetual calendars. Kurt Klaus, the lead watchmaker in the 1980s, developed the perpetual calendar so you can just navigate it by the crown yourself. Now, we present the new perpetual calendar in the Perpetual Calendar IWC-ProSet®, a system that introduces a fully synchronised, gear-based architecture. Departing from traditional correctors and multi-step adjustments, the IWC-ProSet® mechanism allows the wearer to move the calendar both forward and backward using a single crown position in an unprecedented level of convenience showcased in mechanical watchmaking. It is a breakthrough innovation and took about 10 years to develop. Materials like Ceralume® and Ceratanium® push the boundaries of what a watch can physically be, yet for most IWC clients, that level of innovation goes beyond everyday necessity. From a marketing perspective, when everything is technically impressive, what ultimately makes a creation feel meaningful?
Certified for human spaceflight, the Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive (IW328601) is engineered for space

ounded in 1868 by American watchmaker and engineer Florentine Ariosto Jones, the “International Watch Company”, now renowned as IWC Schaffhausen, was built on the vision of combining the best of human craftsmanship and creativity with cutting-edge industrial technology and processes. This unique engineering approach to watchmaking has set the brand apart and has allowed it to create and innovate in ways never before seen in the world of horology.
to simplify our concepts by using storytelling. For example, when you try to explain the IWCProSet® mechanism, how do you translate that into a campaign? We wrote about supersonic flights, because we have a collaboration with Boom Supersonic, so they come with supersonic airplanes in the near future and there will be a situation where you’re travelling – it could be that you reach earlier
This book is very fascinating, it has been translated into more than 600 languages and the moral of the story is relevant even in today’s world. Keeping this story alive is not too difficult because of the lessons it imparts that children should be kind, as well as other values; its legacy will surely live on. In our case, it’s very fascinating to see what “The Little Prince” does to a timepiece because it tells an additional story.
all the departments, and go from there. It’s more of the mindset of curiosity that you can always go a bit further, that you can always bring something new. The expansion into smaller, more ergonomic sizes like the Ingenieur 35 suggests a broader audience. How is IWC redefining who its core client is today?
This year, we perpetuate the story of “The Little Prince” by introducing innovations in our commemorative novelties. For example, we launched the perpetual calendar for the first time in the Le Petit Prince watch and use our white ceramic case in the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Le Petit Prince (IW389410). By combining our engineering knowhow and this timeless story, we present an entirely fresh take on a verified classic.
It’s quite broad, because as you might know, we start from the reachable price level but we go very high-end as well, and we have a really broad spectrum of clients, male and female. The difference is that the generations, coming from the legacy of 14 years now in Formula One™, it caters to younger generations but also to more mature generations, so there is no one typical client. I think, if we can generalise, our clients are people who are interested in honest engineering and design, because IWC is never in your face, it’s the opposite.
From space stations to literary icons, IWC operates across vastly different worlds. What is the unifying idea that ensures the brand never feels fragmented? And what makes a partnership feel truly authentic to you?
If someone encounters IWC for the first time through this year’s novelties, what lasting impression would you hope they carry with them?
The answer is engineering, it’s what we have excelled in and will always excel in. We have a dedicated playground wherein we play with ideas, we promote open communication with
I hope the lasting impression we impart is that we will design for the Next Space Age, that we are really going into the future, equipped with our long legacy, but we are really future-oriented.

than when you left. In this context it makes sense that you can go backwards with your perpetual calendar. This is how you translate stories that resonate with people. For IWC Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive, we built on a 90s legacy, and this is very important because we don’t say “oh we’re going now into space, because space is very popular”. We have nearly a century experience with Pilot’s watches and then to go to the next step, to go to the future of space feels authentic to IWC as well. Then you have to tell the stories to different people and different channels. You have to find what will connect with people, with the end-users. IWC’s “The Little Prince” editions celebrate 20 years of storytelling. How do you strike the balance between honouring the legacy and keeping it emotionally relevant today?

ew actors have risen as quickly—or as thoughtfully—as Paul Mescal. Since his breakthrough performance in “Normal People”, the Irish actor has built a career defined not by spectacle, but by quiet intensity and carefully chosen roles. From portraying William Shakespeare in “Hamnet” to stepping into the role of Paul McCartney in the forthcoming four-film cinematic event about The Beatles, Mescal has established himself as one of the most compelling actors of his generation, drawn to stories and characters whose influence extends well beyond the screen.

I have never been particularly sentimental about objects, but I do think certain pieces gather meaning the longer you live with them. They mark time in a way that’s less about urgency and more about presence. In terms of moments in my life, particularly big career moments, Cartier watches have been with me in those big moments. We see you wear the Tortue watches a lot on the red carpet, what attracts you to the new Tortue? The Tortue has a softness to it that I find really appealing. There’s something slightly off-centre about the shape which I love. On a red carpet, where everything can feel quite heightened and performative, it’s nice to wear something that feels considered but not loud. It sits comfortably in that space between classic and a bit unexpected. I think I’m drawn to things that feel lived-in, even when they’re new, and the Tortue has that quality. If asked to choose, what would be your favourite watch from the Cartier Privé collection? From the Cartier Privé collection, I’ve always loved the Cartier Tank Normale. There’s something very grounded about it, especially in this platinum, seven-row bracelet execution that quietly echoes a model from 1934. It feels like it belongs in the past in a classic sense and I just love that.
One of Cartier’s enduring classics, the Santos Dumont is the perfect companion for any event
developed an affinity for the Maison, frequently choosing its timepieces for premieres and other defining moments throughout his career. The connection feels instinctive. Like Cartier, whose Privé collection revisits some of the Maison’s most iconic designs with thoughtful restraint, Mescal has built his reputation on authenticity rather than excess—allowing substance, rather than spectacle, to leave a lasting impression. Perhaps that is why one of the most revealing moments in our conversation comes as something of a surprise. Despite making a
career from portraying deeply emotional characters, Mescal admits that he is “not particularly sentimental about objects”. Instead, he believes that certain pieces simply gather meaning the longer we live with them. Cartier, it seems, is one of those rare exceptions. As the conversation unfolds, he reflects on how the Maison’s timepieces have quietly accompanied many of his defining milestones, proving that the most meaningful objects are often those that become part of our story over time. Do you have any special memories linked to Cartier and watches?

T
here is no wonder that the name Viktor Axelsen is embedded in every badminton enthusiast’s heart. Who would deny the legacy of the Danish former professional badminton player, who reigned as a two-time World Champion? Aside from his well-known unyielding grit and nerve-racking moments on the court, Viktor admits that the right state of mind is the key to performing under pressure. Those adrenaline-filled moments have brought the Olympic gold medallist unforgettable experiences—from countless medals across European and Asian championships to the honour of playing in front of the King of Denmark at the Paris 2024 Olympics—but the game is about more than winning. Measuring every second and minute to refine his game has been part of Viktor’s philosophy ever since becoming a National Champion
in 2006. That technical yet instinctive approach naturally shaped his appreciation for the craftsmanship of a timepiece. He shares that his Audemars Piguet timepiece, a retirement gift with deep sentimental value, accompanies him into this new chapter of life. His down-to-earth nature reflects his genuine passion for the sport, earning admiration and inspiring younger generations. This shared vision of inspiring others drew the attention of HSBC, one of the world’s biggest financial institutions and the Principal Global Partner of the Badminton World Federation since 2018. In his exclusive interview with The Time Place Magazine, Viktor Axelsen shares how HSBC values not only his enduring influence on badminton, but also the respect he has carried throughout his journey, the sport’s legacy, and the hard work athletes put in beyond the celebrations.
Badminton is incredibly demanding physically and mentally, yet you always appear calm under pressure. Was that composure something natural, or something you consciously learned over time? When I was just starting out on the tour, I was still very young and immature. I knew my temper was something I needed to work on especially in order to perform under pressure. My ability to find the right state of mind for big competitions is something I worked extremely hard on both on my own, but also with my mental coach. I do think however that my experience played a huge role especially in the end of my career. I know myself very well and I know how I need to prepare for high pressure situations. You inspired many younger badminton players globally, especially across Asia. What kind of legacy do you hope to leave beyond trophies and rankings?
You’ve achieved almost everything possible in badminton. From Olympic gold, World Championships, to world number one. When you look back now, what moment feels the most personally meaningful to you?

I always saw it as a huge privilege being able to inspire the next generation. I hope to leave a legacy behind which stands for humility, hard work, and for people to know that I always did my best on court with respect to my opponents and the sport in general.
King of Denmark, friends and family, plus tons of Danish fans was an experience I will never forget. Tokyo was also special of course, but with no spectators it was also an unusual Olympic Games. Winning the Thomas Cup with the Danish team in 2016 is also a memory I think about often! For many people, retirement sounds like slowing down, but for high performers it can also mean rediscovering identity. What does this new chapter currently look like for Viktor Axelsen? I am a person who always wants to stay active. Now I have more time to spend with my two daughters which I enjoy a lot. However, I already have a lineup of different projects I am working on such as projects with my faithful sponsors, namely Yonex, HSBC, as well as other partners. I also have an investment business where we focus on risk management with my close friend Rasmus who is coming from the finance world. You’ve often spoken openly about mindset and self-improvement. Has retirement changed your relationship with ambition in any way? I still focus a lot on trying to improve. Now that badminton is not my main focus anymore, I try to take my mindset and apply it to other things in my life. However, being a good dad is the most important thing for me right now as I try to excel in my new life. Athletes often develop a very strong relationship with time: timing, precision, routine, recovery. Has that changed the way you personally appreciate watches?
I have been a watch collector for many years, and I always spend a lot of time looking at my watches and thinking about which ones to bring for my trips, as the memories you get while wearing them will add more meaning to the timepiece. I now have more time to read and learn about the watch world and it really helps me relax. What draws you more to a watch today: technical craftsmanship, design, emotional meaning, or the memories attached to it? I have started to appreciate the technical craftsmanship more and more over the years. I have visited Le Brassus and Audemars Piguet numerous times and seeing the hard work that goes into the timepieces is astonishing! However, for me personally the emotional meaning is very important as many of my watches were purchased on a special trip or to celebrate a milestone in my life. Many collectors say a watch often marks a milestone or transition in life. Is there a timepiece that represents an important chapter in your own journey?
I think that building something new but also seeing what opportunities might arise for me is extremely exciting. I am enjoying more time with my kids, and I am also very motivated to see what the next chapter brings. I am in good spirits and I am looking forward to working and bringing value outside of the court. Now that you are retired from playing badminton, what does this new chapter in your life look like? Well, even though I have retired from badminton, I still have a lot of energy to keep working hard and get better in all the aspects. The most important thing is, however, to be a good dad for Vega and Aya, my two daughters. But I already have new projects going on. Luckily, I also have great partners: Yonex and HSBC, where we have a lot of important work, especially motivating the next generation. I’m a person who always likes to do more and to develop, also to improve in different aspects of life. I’m not going to stop even though I have retired from badminton. Could you tell us more about your project with HSBC?
After the Paris Olympics, I got my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore in blue ceramic with my own customised dial with the text “Axelsen Paris 2024.” I finally picked it up in Le Brassus when I was close to retirement, so this watch really means a lot to me and not only celebrates the 2024 Olympic gold but also my retirement in a beautiful way.
Yes, my project with HSBC has a different function. I am very fortunate to be able to get out and meet not only the younger generations, inspire kids, but also to meet all the people in HSBC I am working with as well as their branches around the world.
Now that competition is no longer defining your daily rhythm, what excites you most about the future?
To motivate them, I think HSBC has a lot of focus on well-being, which I find very important. It gives me a lot of joy working on this project with HSBC.
HSBC hosted an exclusive VIP dinner with its Global Brand Ambassador, Viktor Axelsen

An award-winning brand known for its highly exclusive technical complications, many of which are proprietary innovations produced in-house, it has introduced more than 50 world premieres and patents that have dazzled the world of haute horlogerie.
Serving as the centre of the brand’s production processes, Watchland fulfils one of the brand’s main priorities—to remain independent. Located in the neighbouring countryside of Geneva, with breathtaking views of classical terraced gardens, Lake Léman and the Mont-Blanc waterfront, the enchanting and poetic expanse serves as the ideal environment for Franck Muller to create its timepieces. making of a timepiece, from conception, watchmaking, assembling, case manufacturing, engraving, and after sales department, all on the same property. Meanwhile, other production processes are done in the Jura Arc, including dial manufacturing and case stamping, two integral steps in watch production that Franck Muller takes great pride in, as it is one of only a few brands in the world that manufactures 100 percent of its cases and dials. After completing these steps, the parts are then delivered to Watchland to be finished and ultimately assembled. By meticulously overseeing the creation of its watches, the brand is able to ensure the quality and integrity of its products. Driven by this commitment, the brand continues to explore the different facets of haute horology, including skeletonisation, which is the horological art of trimming and hollowing out a watch’s movement and dial to reveal the intricate inner workings, such as gears, wheels, and the mainspring. REBORN In 2022, the Round Skeleton was followed up with the gem-set Round Rainbow Skeleton. Celebrating the chorus of colours derived from the natural scenery of Watchland, combined with the traditional art of skeletonisation by the brand’s craftsmen, the timepiece is a multi-hued spectacle. Its round shape, taken from the natural curves of pebbles found in the streams of Genthod, is wonderfully reflected on the bezel and case back. Adorning the bezel are exquisite baguette-cut gems of every colour of the rainbow arranged in a channel setting. From pink sapphires, tsavorites, to rubies, each stone is carefully chosen by in-house gemmologists to deliver the declination of colours on the bezel. The result is a stunning watch worthy of being called a Franck Muller masterpiece.
back to the 1800s, the process originated as a way to reduce the weight of a watch. Once a technique used for practicality, skeletonisation has now become a form of artistic expression, wherein watchmakers are able to use their creativity in coming up with new ways and designs of showcasing their movements for all the world to see. Franck Muller first showcased its prowess in skeletonisation with the Giga Tourbillon unveiled in 2011, during the 20th edition of the brand’s World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH). With a record-breaking size, it featured a massive 20 mm diameter tourbillon cage, which is twice the size of a standard tourbillon and takes up about 50% of the entire watch face. This was followed by the Round Skeleton in 2012, a departure from the house’s tonneau-shape signature with its circular shape. Powered by the FM 1740-RS manual winding movement, the timepiece was a classic offering that highlighted the high calibre of Franck Muller’s craftsmanship and its artisans.

For Fall/Winter 2026, he presented a continuing exchange with Gabrielle Chanel, conducted this season in tweed, silk jersey, and a great deal of light. The cheerfulness was earned. Blazy’s debut had made CHANEL the most coveted name in fashion again, everywhere at once, though
He went back to the suit and refused to leave it alone, some arrived taken apart almost literally. Tweeds cut raw at the hem as though the fitting were still in progress, jackets pared back until their gilt chains stopped being ornamental and started doing the real work of holding cloth to the body. The skirt suit alone appeared more than 20 times and never twice the same way. Whether in cream tweed fringed at the edges, in appliquéd florals, or in pastel plaid coated with sequins. The premise goes back to Gabrielle Chanel herself. “Fashion is both caterpillar and

Paris said it most plainly, its boutiques emptying within days. While debut collections are forgiven almost anything, it is the next one that tells you what a designer actually intends, which leaves the more interesting question of direction. butterfly,” she once observed. “We need dresses that crawl and dresses that fly. The butterfly doesn’t go to the market, and the caterpillar doesn’t go to the ball.” Blazy replied with a credo of his own in the show notes. The wardrobe he proposed grants its wearer the liberty to move between those two states of transformation whenever they please, and to be unapologetic about either. The caterpillar hours made the case for the crawl. Cotton shirts came chain-weighted and untucked, braided at the pockets, and clothes with the easy competence of a working day. That ease itself is a profound homecoming,
since Gabrielle Chanel, who earned her own living, built her house on the clothes of working people, and Blazy keeps steering the label back there. The drop waist was the show’s defining line, slung low as the ‘20s wore it on pleated dresses belted in leather, while the decades shuffled around it, from ‘50s propriety, ‘60s crispness, to the present era. The butterfly hours answered in iridescence, gathering as day slid into night. Narrow chainmail jackets came printed to look like tweed, as if the day suit had followed its wearer into the evening. A wedding dress floated by, ribbons trailing, and the finale went full fairy
tale, with metallic bags, pastel hair, and all. The embroidered insects were depicted as moths in soft, feathery colours. It is a French pun in which a moth is a papillon de nuit, the night butterfly. The buttons carried the same humour, in the shape of cocoa beans, a nod to Mademoiselle Coco. The metaphor folded shut with the last look, a black jersey dress with a feathery Camélia pinned between the shoulder blades. After 78 looks, the wardrobe read fluent in the market and the ball, for a woman who declines to choose between her useful hours and her spectacular ones. The conversation between Blazy and Gabrielle Chanel continues, and neither seems in any hurry to end it.

Rider’s intentions have become easier to read, and he has gradually established a visual language that now feels unmistakably his own. Across successive collections, tailoring remains central paired with a chic nonchalance that softens even the sharpest silhouettes. Jackets are cut with precision, while shirt tails slip beneath their hems and scarves remain casually draped around the neck and shoulders. Jewellery is layered naturally, with rings stacked across fingers and chains clustered at varying lengths, giving the impression of personal treasures accumulated over the years. For all their sophistication, the pieces in the collection never feel untouchable. One could easily imagine them folded over the back of a chair, packed into a suitcase, or reached for again the following morning.
slouchier attitude. Presented in Besace and Half Moon models, both designs are expressly in line with Rider’s vision for the house. Rendered in a crescent silhouette, the Half Moon softens the structured geometry that has long defined CELINE’s Box bag—arguably the Triomphe’s original predecessor. As lifestyles continue to favour more compact accessories, the arrival of the Little Half Moon feels like a natural progression. At 25 x 13 x 5
Across the Summer, Fall and Winter 2026 collections, the Little Half Moon appears in a classic palette ranging from Sandcastle and Soft Tan to Black, White Cotton, Deep Brown and Syrah. Chosen with the same understated elegance that characterises the maison, these are colours that feel timeless rather than trendy. If you’re drawn to material explorations, the line extends beyond supple lambskin into a raffia version trimmed with leather, while Winter 2026 features crocodile and snakeskin iterations.
Accessories carry a similar sensibility. They are never treated as afterthoughts, nor do they arrive as attention-seeking centrepieces. Instead, they act as complementary counterparts to the Ready-to-Wear pieces Rider has been constructing at CELINE. Some of CELINE’s most recognisable signatures also find their way back into the collections. The return of the Luggage and Phantom signals a willingness to revisit the house’s archives, while the Triomphe continues to evolve through new proportions. Enter the Soft Triomphe. First introduced during Printemps 2026 and revisited the following season at Domaine de Saint-Cloud, the line reinterprets its original iteration in a

effortlessly complementing everything from tailored suiting to eveningwear. For the Pre-Fall 2026 Collection, Creative Director Alessandro Michele takes a fresh approach to the beloved Valentino Garavani Rockstud that gives the nostalgic silhouette an entirely different feel without losing the essence that made it so alluring in the first place. As seen in the Valentino Pre-Fall 2026 collection, the new Valentino Garavani Rockstud pumps still maintain their unmistakable DNA by remaining true to the studded, structured silhouette of the original icon. This time, however, the pumps are presented in a variety of hues that enliven any wardrobe, from timeless neutrals such as black and white to statement shades like
bright green and light blue. Debuting the new colourways was a host of A-list celebrities and fashion’s elite at the Valentino Pre-Fall 2026 red carpet. Among those spotted wearing the black heels were Dakota Johnson, Chiara Ferragni, Freen Sarocha, Ko Hyun-jung, and
more. Meanwhile, Clairo, Britt Lower, and Devon Lee were seen in pristine white pumps, while Yang Zi and Giusy Buscemi elevated their looks with the warmer-toned variations. To complement different looks, the slender heels are available in two heights, 100 mm and 40 mm. Though slim in profile, the Maison’s carefully engineered construction provides ample stability and comfort for those constantly on the go. The Valentino Garavani Rockstud’s intricate straps hug the foot securely while making the shoes unforgettable with each polished stud. For the first time in the Maison’s history, each pair of pumps is finished with a metallic platinum toe tip, a stylistic choice that is subtle yet impactful. Likewise, the vivid red insoles leave a lasting impression on both wearers and onlookers, completing the charm of the new Valentino Garavani Rockstud shoes. Every thoughtful finishing touch reinforces the Italian fashion house’s meticulous attention to detail and demonstrates how even the smallest refinements can change one’s attire entirely. Just as it has done in the past, Maison Valentino once again embraces its vivacious heritage through the refreshing vision of Creative Director Alessandro Michele. As evidenced by the contemporary yet classic Pre-Fall 2026 collection, the luxury fashion house continues to balance sophistication with boldness, just as it has since its establishment in 1960. Through the unveiling of its Pre-Fall 2026 collection, the Maison seeks to invite a new generation of fashion icons to embrace bold personas with the new Valentino Garavani Rockstud shoes, available in Valentino boutiques worldwide starting from April 2026.

rue luxury does not merely dress the body; it captures a fleeting emotion and elevates it into a physical experience. For Spring/Summer 2027, Berluti has delivered a masterclass in narrative craftsmanship, proving that the pinnacle of menswear lies in the invisible threads that connect raw emotion to material form. For the third consecutive year, Berluti selected the magnificent, late 19th-century

classical townhouse of the Simone & Cino Del Duca Foundation as its creative stage. This season, the central theme revolves around the garden, a concept exploring the delicate transformation of an abstract idea into tangible, artisanal reality. The presentation immediately plunges visitors into a deeply evocative, multisensory prelude. The intoxicating fragrance of melted wax, the rhythmic cadence of footsteps, and
an intentional display of three varying heel sizes instantly celebrate the house’s historic shoemaking origins. This immersive entry is followed by a famous quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince” in the Salon Monceau that reminds guests that “what is essential is invisible to the eye,” setting an

Bloom shoe, which draws direct inspiration from the fluid contours of the arum lily, rendering the flower’s natural grace into a highly sculptural silhouette with a striking new patina finish. Alongside it, the Lorenzo and Panache loafers carry forward the lineage of Berluti’s trademark construction and effortless sophistication. Intriguingly, in the first-floor Orange salon, the artistic dialogue shifts to Painting the Light, mapping the ethereal beauty of the Impressionist movement onto fine leather goods. Just as 19th-century painters layered short brushstrokes to capture shifting atmospheric light, Berluti’s artisans play with depths, shades, and transparency on signature Venezia leather. The design studio translated fragments of four paintings into distinct patinas representing a garden at different hours, from the freshness of a rose garden at daybreak to the romantic atmospheric hues of a garden at dusk, embellishing classic models like Un Jour, Luti, Un Jour de Poche, and Toujours. What’s more, there are new architectures focused on comfort and flexibility, notably the
exceptionally supple Un Jour-nal—designed to be carried under the arm like a rolled newspaper—and the Grand Jour tote bag. The collection’s narrative journey culminates in a poetic space dedicated entirely to the imaginative universe of “The Little Prince”. In the Vigny salon, Saint-Exupéry’s iconic sketches are seamlessly transposed onto a selection of leather goods, including the timeless Alessandro lace-up. Finally, by showcasing a specialist artisan alongside restored historic pieces in the Cordoue salon, Berluti highlights objects designed to weather the test of time. With 97% of its products currently repairable at its specialised Aubervilliers atelier, the Maison underscores an enduring commitment to emotional longevity. In the end, Berluti uniquely bridges the fleeting brushstrokes of Impressionism with the profound, timeless wonder of “The Little Prince”. It is a triumphant, cohesive collection that demonstrates true style is never superficial; it is a living, emotional narrative crafted to evolve, weather, and beautifully grow alongside its wearer for a lifetime.

Among the highlights, this garden theme sartorially yields exquisite poetic expressions where nature seems to grow directly from the garments. Classic signatures are cleverly reimagined: the legendary Forestière jacket features a fresh daffodil blossoming organically from its pocket, while intricate floral embroidery appears to bloom natively across the jersey outerwear. Berluti’s technical mastery also shines through a stunning jacket adorned with a complex mix of laser-cut details and floral embroidery, as well as the Un Jour blouson with its beautiful entrelacs collar. This organic ethos gracefully grounds the footwear collection, introducing tightly curated capsule series engineered for artistic experimentation. The standout is the Galet

FENDI, led by Maria Grazia Chiuri as the brand’s Chief Creative Officer, highlights the Baguette, now back to its original silhouette and style code
WONDERFUL HOMECOMING
S
ome debuts announce a new era. Others, quieter and more profound, feel like a homecoming. For Maria Grazia Chiuri, presenting her first collection as FENDI’s Chief Creative Officer, it was unmistakably the latter. Decades after cutting her teeth within the house’s ateliers, Chiuri returned not as an outsider staking new territory, but as a daughter of the Maison rediscovering her own proud inheritance. “Meno io, più noi” or “Less I, More Us,” became her governing motto, and it is more 24 88
than a clever turn of phrase. It is a distillation of how Chiuri works, and, she suggests, how FENDI itself has always worked. In an industry increasingly obsessed with singular auteur narratives, Chiuri’s opening statement felt almost radical in its humility. That philosophy extended into the show’s very structure. Rather than treat masculine and feminine as opposing categories, Chiuri dissolved the distinction entirely, sending men and women down the runway together, in wardrobes built not to divide but to describe
shared qualities. It was a wardrobe imagined as “a personal geography,” in Chiuri’s own words, one where clothes function as encounters, as memory, as evidence of a life lived through fashion rather than dressed in it.

MARIA GRAZIA CHIURI RETURNS HOME TO FENDI, WEAVING MEMORY INTO A DEBUT THAT RESEMBLES COMING FULL CIRCLE
In short, the collection carried a quieter, more tactile message about permanence. Chiuri showcased a selection of tailored blazers, cargo pants, sheer dresses, motorcycle jackets, Canadian tuxedos, and jumpsuits. Naturally, there was fur, as one would expect from FENDI, but presented in a vintage way.
Yuqi, Ren Meguro, and MINA each appear with a Baguette of their choosing, styled to reflect who they are in that exact moment. Borthwick’s approach favoured intimacy over artifice, letting each subject move and exist naturally, so that the bag became less a prop than a personality.
Expert tailors rebuilt it, transforming pieces “left to lie in a wardrobe” into contemporary silhouettes that honour rather than discard their history. In an age of instant fashion and disposable cycles, Chiuri frames this act of remaking as one of dedication to memory, to the self who once wore the garment and the self who wears it now.
The results speak in fragments, culminating, fittingly, in the line that started it all: Carrie Bradshaw’s insistence that It’s Not a Bag, it’s a Baguette®. Nearly three decades later, under Chiuri’s direction, that declaration feels less like nostalgia and more like a promise renewed.
However, the real stars of the show were arguably all the Baguettes. Timed to coincide with Chiuri’s Fall/Winter 2026-27 debut, the Baguette returns to its original silhouette and style code, 26424, the exact specification that turned a “small and simple” arm-carried bag into a cultural manifesto back in the late 1990s. Born as a rebellion against the era’s clean minimalism, the Baguette became an instant object of desire precisely because it dared to be loud where everything else stayed quiet,
with bold colour and experimental materials as a statement of self rather than conformity. That same spirit of self-expression also anchors and coincides with the house’s new campaign for the Baguettes, photographed by Bibi Borthwick. Sarah Jessica Parker, Emma D’Arcy, Jessica Alba, Iris Law, Tecla Insolia, and FENDI ambassadors Bang Chan, Song
All things considered, what ultimately emerged was not simply a debut collection but a philosophy laid bare: fashion as a space of relationship rather than performance, desire made visible and tactile, individuality preserved even as it dissolves into collective vision. Chiuri closed her statement with a line that could just as easily summarise the whole show: a personal vision of fashion, and of oneself. For FENDI, and for the woman returning to lead it into its next chapter, that feels like exactly the right place to begin.

genuine first for the Italian Maison. In a nutshell, never before had a footballer joined ZEGNA’s family of ambassadors, a roster otherwise built from actors, musicians, and cultural tastemakers. But Dembélé’s arrival was less an experiment than an inevitability. ZEGNA and the PSG forward had already spent years in each other’s orbit, a relationship that, fittingly, revealed itself in the moments that mattered most. Twenty-nine years old and among the most decorated footballers of his generation, Dembélé’s career reads like a study in reinvention. From his early breakthrough at Rennes to formative years at Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona, before arriving in Paris in 2023, each chapter sharpened the player he would eventually become. At PSG that evolution reached its apex: a historic treble of the Ligue 1 title, the French Cup, and the UEFA Champions League, followed by the 2025 Ballon d’Or and
back-to-back French Ligue 1 Best Football Player honours at the UNFP Trophy ceremony in both 2025 and 2026. In each of those three occasions, Dembélé stepped forward in custom ZEGNA, long before any formal title made the partnership official, showing proof that some alliances are built quietly, through repetition and trust, well before they’re ever announced. That trust was rewarded this May, when Dembélé’s PSG returned to defend their Champions League crown in Budapest against Arsenal, and won in the end, sealing back-to-back Champions League titles, inducting them as one of the generation’s true footballing dynasties. ZEGNA points to this same composure in choosing its ambassador. The brand describes Dembélé as embodying determination, resilience, and respect for fair play; some of the qualities as legible in a boardroom or on a runway as they are on the
pitch. It is a description that echoes a brand currently masterminding the modern man’s wardrobe by blending heritage tailoring with relaxed luxury. Dembélé, for his part, speaks about the partnership with the same clarity he brings to any football field. “For me, the clothes tell a story that echoes the game: collective effort, precision, and a passion for excellence,” he reflected. He’s so happy to officially join the ZEGNA family as an ambassador. “I always feel my best when I am wearing ZEGNA.” It’s a sentiment that reframes the collaboration entirely, not as a brand borrowing an athlete’s fame, but as two disciplines—sport and tailoring—recognising a shared language of control and mastery. The timing of Dembélé’s appointment feels anything but incidental. At football’s biggest stage, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the world’s attention turned once more to arguably France’s brightest star. With Dembélé, ZEGNA has secured not just a face for its campaigns, but a genuine embodiment of what the house has always stood for. In the end, it’s more than safe to say that elite athletes have officially become the leading muses of the menswear world. If Dembélé’s recent outfits are any hint or indication, this collaboration is set to offer profound aesthetic inspiration well beyond the stadium.

Appropriately named Qixi Sweetheart, the capsule reflects Ami Paris’ signature design philosophy of effortless elegance and emotional authenticity. The collection is envisioned as a wardrobe designed to be shared, bringing together simplicity, intimacy, and versatility through garments that naturally complement different lifestyles and personalities. Instead of using elaborate embellishments, the pieces emphasise refined silhouettes and thoughtful details, reinforcing the notion that true connection is often expressed through comfort, presence, and familiarity. The accompanying campaign continues this restrained narrative through House Ambassador Zhou Yiran. Captured with a minimalist visual language, the imagery focuses on understated interactions instead of theatrical storytelling, portraying relationships through fleeting glances,

A sophisticated palette of crisp white accented by rich burgundy and subtle gold details lends the collection an air of timeless elegance, while premium cotton fabrics, cotton-wool knitwear, and finely crafted brass jewellery reinforce the Maison’s dedication to quality, comfort, and enduring refinement. More than a seasonal release, the Qixi Sweetheart Capsule Collection captures the essence and beauty of fashion that celebrates meaningful relationships. By pairing timeless Parisian style with a heartfelt tribute to one of China’s most cherished annual celebrations, Ami Paris once again demonstrates that the simplest moments shared together often leave the most lasting impression.

In the ‘60s her mother had them made to measure on Capri, flat leather things intended for nothing more vibrant than an island summer. For Splash, Tory Burch’s summer capsule collection, and its accessory-led second wave, the Splash Jelly collection, the shoe has been remade entirely in translucent jelly. somewhere to be after dark. Somewhere in the range there is even a pair with trompe l’œil toenails painted onto the footbed, which for sheer disarming charm may prove to be the favourite detail in the whole collection. On the dressier side of the catalogue sit the Romy City Sandals in three neutral palettes, reworked as a flexible lattice that could not care less about salt water. The bags get the same treatment without simply repeating the wit. The Romy bucket, which earned its following by being useful in a way covetable bags rarely bother to be, turns up woven in raffia for anyone who prefers their summer textures natural. It then appears again in colour-blocked transparent PVC, which comes in a choice of two moods. One sets mint against aquatic blue, while the other leans darker into a cola-tinted brown. The Ella tote follows in the same see-through construction, and against all that shine the label has been careful to place things made slowly. A Charlie bag arrives in blue-green crochet, and plain ribbed tanks come pinned with silk flowers, so the plastic never quite gets to dominate the room. The clothes lean the same way, cut light enough to forget about, in colours that behave as the sea does when you stare at it long enough, pale turquoise sliding into something deeper and moodier, with crochet working across the knitwear in patterns that look borrowed from moving water. All of it was photographed where an idea of escapism was more or less invented. At GoldenEye in Jamaica, the retreat where Ian Fleming wrote his Bond novels, Anthony Seklaoui wisely lets Alex Consani and Sacha Quenby simply be on holiday. They drift on pool floats and wander the shoreline barefoot, their marine blues and clean whites slowly
giving way to the warmer shades of late afternoon. The image everyone will surely remember is that of Consani balancing a pair of slides on her head with a cocktail in hand. What lingers afterwards is how neatly Tory Burch closes the circle. A shoe born from her mother’s holiday on Capri returns 60 years
later as an object built for someone else’s holiday entirely, translated into a material her generation would never have chosen and somehow becomes more itself for the change. The jelly and raffia will sell through and the season will turn, but heritage, she quietly suggests, is not a vault to be guarded. It is a memory worth replaying in brighter colours.

Though strong in personality, each variant is alchemised to leave a lasting impression. It only takes a single drop on the pulse points, such as behind one’s earlobe, at one’s nape, or on the hollow of one’s wrist, to realise Les Extraits de CHANEL’s full potential. Both the intentional way it is worn and the endurance of its scent offer a refreshing change from this otherwise fast-paced society, so used to quick fixes that may not always achieve the same goal. Its prowess is only made possible through an exacting chain of craftsmanship, which begins in Neuilly, France. Home to the Fragrance Laboratory, Neuilly marks the beginning of Les Extraits de CHANEL’s journey. It is here that master perfumers coax the delicate scents from freshly picked ingredients, including Grasse jasmine and May rose, carefully cultivated in the Maison’s lush fields. Just like the production chain within the Maison, each scent plays a pivotal part in constructing the indelible identity of Les Extraits de CHANEL. This intricate process allows the Maison to reimagine its long-celebrated scents, including CHANEL No. 5 and 1957, to reach all-new heights.

A LIVING LANDSCAPE
T
he global art calendar is packed with multiple art fairs, but few exhibitions successfully bridge business vitality with deep curatorial intentionality. Held from June 4 to 7, 2026, at the Agora Ballroom, ArtMoments Jakarta firmly asserted its role as a cultural gateway in Southeast Asia’s contemporary art landscape. Bringing together more than 70 exhibitors from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and South Korea, the fair created a vibrant cross-cultural platform

that placed regional expression at the centre of global art conversations. The primary focus of this year’s edition is modern and contemporary Nusantara art. Guided by Artistic Director Jeong Ok Jeon, this year’s iteration introduced a powerful central theme. Building on the themes of “Renewal” in 2024 and “Restoration” in 2025, “Offerings” marks the next chapter in this year’s curatorial path, reflecting an international search for kindness in an era that increasingly needs it.

Departing from conventional, passive viewing formats, the fair embraced an immersive, participatory approach. It transformed art into a living dialogue between creators, galleries, collectors, and audiences, prioritising emotional resonance, narratives, and shared encounters over mere aesthetic observation.

and audiences. Intellectual curiosity remained vibrant outside the gallery booths through Converse Moments, featuring industry panels with many speakers, and Makers Moments, which highlighted the creative process through highly interactive workshops. Overall, in an era driven by transient digital aesthetics, true artistic mastery lies in a work’s capacity to act as a profound vessel for human reciprocity. With its 2026 edition, ArtMoments Jakarta transcends the traditional art fair concept, becoming a space where contemporary art is presented—not just displayed—fostering empathy, memory, and connection among its participants. In doing so, ArtMoments Jakarta superbly redefines the commercial art fair, transforming the area into a space of mutual devotion, and reminds us that the emotional and intellectual exchange is the true measure of an artwork’s value.

1. The 2026 iteration of ArtMoments Jakarta introduced “Offerings” as its central theme, inviting audiences to experience art beyond aesthetics
The fair officially opened on June 4, 2026, welcoming VIP collectors, international dignitaries, and media representatives to an immersive artistic celebration. During his opening address, Co-Founder and Fair Director Sendy Widjaja noted that “Offerings” explores how art expresses care, gratitude, responsibility, and cross-cultural dialogue, rather than simply serving as a marketplace for art. This vision was echoed by Teuku Riefky Harsya (Minister of Creative Economy) and Giring Ganesha Djumaryo (Deputy Minister of Culture), who highlighted ArtMoments as a crucial platform for strengthening Indonesia’s creative ecosystem and international cultural presence. The opening reached its poetic zenith with Henri Affandi’s whimsical performance titled “Sajja.” Reimagining artmaking as a literal act of devotion toward Mother Earth, Affandi turned the physical process and labour of cultivation into an embodied offering that perfectly mirrored the curatorial heart of the exhibition. This year’s edition features a carefully structured programme that harmonises artistic heritage with innovative viewpoints. Key highlights include ArtMoments Masters, a unique initiative dedicated to honouring and safeguarding the legacy of Southeast Asia’s artistic trailblazers, while fostering responsible stewardship and confidence in art collections through verified artworks. Additionally, the launch of Charity Moments further emphasises the role of art as a driver for social change and shared empathy.

Moreover, to nurture future audiences, the fair also introduced accessible pathways, such as ARTFace and the Young Collectors Programme. Meanwhile, family-centric initiatives like MobArt’s Kids Section and the interactive Carrot Card Season 2 enabled younger generations and first-time buyers to connect with high art in an approachable way. In addition to the exhibitions, the fair also delivered a vibrant array of public programmes that enhanced interaction among artists, art,
