Montessori care at the Kennett Area YMCA offers children a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience that helps them to think critically and work collaboratively.

Led by Montessori-credentialed teachers, we help each child develop to their full potential, while also working to build the skills they will need for success in their coming school years. Our program offers: • Full- and half-day programs available for children 18 months to 6 years old • Swimming lessons*, yoga instruction, music and Spanish language instruction included at no additional cost!

• Extended care available from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM • Camp available during the summer *swim lessons offered for children 3 to 6 years old

WHY MONTESSORI AT THE Y? The Montessori method of education values the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional and cognitive. In our mixed-age classrooms, children experience interactive learning in an environment carefully prepared by an educator who is sensitive to each child’s individual needs and abilities. The school’s peaceful and non-competitive atmosphere promotes strong character and values.
