The Goshorns Step by Step September—October2017 Well the school year has started for Katherine. The She is now in 10th grade and doing well in her studies. As a lot of you know, we’ve found people who will sponsor a couple teenagers from the orphanage for college. Hilda, is one of those kids. She is now living told I had to return the next day. I was not happy to say the least. The next day when I would with us and has started college. One evening as we have been on my way home, there was an sat around the table we discussed God. She then earthquake and the road I would have been on had prayed to except the Lord as her Savior. Hilda will much of the mountain come down on it. I was then need many prayers as she continues this new very happy with the embassy:) The Lord is so good. chapter in her life. There are many bad influences at the University and she needs to be strong. The teachers in Peru were on strike for We are putting together a couple teams for next year. The first will be a medical team in Andamarca. This is an area in need of Christ and we’re praying this will open the doors for discipleship. Andamarca is about 6 hours from Huancayo. The second team will be in Huancayo. We will be helping a family from one of our programs construct a house. They are presently living at the Church because their home is unlivable. They have come to know Jesus and have become very strong in their faith. I had to travel to Lima to get some documents from the U.S. Embassy. This ended up being a trip longer than I planed. When I arrived at the embassy, the documents were not ready. I was

quite awhile. This strike became violent on some occasions. Tear gas and water cannons were used. Many of the teachers, who don’t take continuing education classes, wanted the same pay as those who take continuing education classes. This has effected our programs because now the kids have to attend school on Saturdays until December. So our Saturdays are a little longer for now. Crestwood U.M.C. started construction on a church that is connected with one of our programs. They sent money so the construction could be completed. We are so excited that the church had it’s first service and we now have a much nicer building for our program. The congregation is thrilled.

We humbly thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. If you haven’t yet, we ask that you would prayerfully consider financially supporting this ministry in Peru. Without more financial partners this ministry can not continue to grow. We love you all and thank you for being part of God’s work in Peru.
