The Goshorns Step by Step January 2018 Happy New Year!! We pray that this new year will be a blessed year for all. Above all we pray that the Lord will be Glorified with every decision and action we each make. This year we were blessed to be able to take our entire team into the women's prison and give a message and hot chocolate with paneton to all the women. We were very proud of our team and how they all took turns talking with the women. Jennifer is very excited about 2018. She will be permitted to increase the weekly team members that can enter the prison for the Bible study. You have to remember that this is not a common occurrence, but she has built up a lot of confidence with the director. As I said last month, the response for sponsoring families for Christmas was huge. We spent quite a bit of time buying food and goodies to fill boxes for these families. They are so poor most of them don’t know how they’ll feed their families especially during the rainy season. We saw hard tuff dads raise their hands and say this is a true blessing from God. A 15 year old boy yelled to him mom and said look, we have matches and a single mother of 4 that works every day making bricks couldn’t speak after looking at the 120 pound box of food because of her tears. They couldn’t understand why families in

the states would help them. Again, we told them this is the body of Christ working together. What an awesome way to share the love of Christ. I had 12 dads show up at our last men's gathering including the leader of the community. We decided we’ll talk and discuss everyday problems they struggle with and what scripture has to say about it. Most of them don’t have electric in their adobe homes, but it’s available. We’re going to use that as a bonding moment and teach them how to install the electric. We want to build relationships and trust. We have many doors opening and we’ll need to address them this coming year. We pray that our team will continue to be motivated and inspired to continue God’s work with us.
