The Goshorns Step by Step August 2019 Since the last newsletter, we’ve had a few visitors. First was Daniel. It was awesome having him here for a week. We traveled to the jungle and he was able to drive on some jungle back roads. I think he enjoyed himself:) It’s been 2 years since he’s been in Peru and his Spanish is still better than Jennifer and mine. Not fair. After I took Daniel back to Lima for his return flight to the states, I picked up Julia. Julia was an intern from Asbury that spent 6 weeks with us. She was involved in the programs and attended the prison with Jennifer. She also made a couple trips to the jungle. We enjoyed are time with her very much. Katherine had a great time with her also. While Julia was here we had a team from Covenant UMC come. This was one of the easiest teams we’ve had to prepare for. They spent a week with us in our home and helped with our weekly programs. The team blessed the children in our feeding programs with Bibles. Also, we are thankful they were able to enter the prison and give the women reading glasses, hand out Bibles and have one on one counseling sessions with each of them. We had a little carnival type day at the orphanage and they bought the orphanage two desk top computers and a printer. Pastor Mel also gave the message at two different churches. They, like all our other teams were awesome. If you would like to visit us any time:))) just let us know. I’ve been traveling to the jungle quite a bit lately managing coffee farms and talking to pastors in the area about having Bible studies. Katherine also traveled with me and she was a huge help. We hope to take a medical team there next year. We will have about 8000 pounds of high altitude, organic coffee to ship to the states soon. We’ll

need help finding buyers:) The coffee tested very high in quality. Jennifer and Katherine will be traveling to the States the 20th of August. They’ll be there about two months. They want to spend some time visiting Caleb (The Grandson), and of course the rest of the family. They will be able to speak at a few churches during this time. Let us know if your interested in having them visit your church, it all depends on the dates.

The Christmas food and gift program is coming up. This has been a huge success the past couple years. Families have been blessed with a months worth of food and many kids received their first ever Christmas gift thanks to your support. To sponsor a family it takes $50.00. Let us know if interested. We need to concentrate on raising our support. Please consider joining us if you haven't yet. If you could share our needs, that would be great.

We humbly thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. If you haven’t yet, we ask that you would prayerfully consider financially supporting this ministry in Peru. Without more financial partners this ministry can not continue to grow. We love you all and thank you for being part of God’s work in Peru.
