In Russia, the building industry remains one of the main drivers of economic recovery and this role is expected to be further consolidated over coming years. Additional growth of around 9% is anticipated in 2013, largely due to state funding set aside for infrastructures and residential building.

In the Maghreb region, the construction industry is going through a period of rapid expansion, again boosted by government social housing and infrastructure modernisation programmes. In Algeria, public investments included in the 2010-2014 five-year plan are focusing mainly on educational, healthcare, sports and residential building, with social housing projects estimated at

800,000 housing units due to be completed over the five year period further 200,000 units per year from 2014 to 2017. Following the war in Libya, the demand for housing is estimated at around 900,000 units. In Tunisia, most public and private, infrastructure, residential and commercial construction sites have been reopened and include large tourist projects. In Egypt the real estate sector does not appear to have been particularly affected by the political and social upheavals. The residential sector continues to be the most buoyant with demand for new housing estimated at 800,000 units per year. In Morocco too the government is making significant efforts to reduce the housing shortage (estimated at the beginning of 2012 at 840,000 units) and aims to cut this figure by half by 2016 through the construction of 150,000 social housing units per year between 2012 and 2020.

Aside from these two geographical areas, we can begin to make out the new frontiers for the brick and tile industry and get an idea of which countries may become potentially large or even enormous markets for the machinery manufacturers. In this issue we look for example at Iraq, although for many observers the real area to watch is the enormous Indian market.

I più importanti costruttori europei di macchine e impianti per laterizi sono appena rientrati dall’esposizione fieristica del Mosbuild a Mosca e sono in procinto di ripartire per un altro appuntamento altrettanto importante, quello con Batimatec ad Algeri che si inaugura il 4 maggio.

Russia e Algeria (e più in generale l’intero Maghreb), a cui dedichiamo larga parte di questo numero di Brick World Review, sono oggi senza dubbio due dei mercati più interessanti e ricettivi per la tecnologia destinata alla produzione di materiali da costruzione, tra cui appunto il laterizio.

In Russia, il settore delle costruzioni rimane uno dei principali volani della ripresa economica, un ruolo destinato a rafforzarsi ulteriormente nei prossimi anni. Per il 2013 si stima una nuova crescita, calcolata attorno al 9%, grazie soprattutto ai finanziamenti statali dedicati, in particolar modo, alle infrastrutture e all’edilizia residenziale.

Nella regione del Maghreb, l’industria delle costruzioni sta attraversando un periodo di forte espansione, supportato, anche qui, dai programmi governativi di social housing e ammodernamento delle infrastrutture. In Algeria, gli investimenti pubblici previsti dal programma quinquennale 20102014 puntano per lo più all’edilizia scolastica, sanitaria, spor-

tiva e residenziale, con interventi di social housing per 800mila unità abitative da completare entro il 2014 e altre 200.000 abitazioni all’anno tra il 2014 e il 2017. In Libia, con la fine della guerra, il fabbisogno di abitazioni è stimato in circa 900.000 unità. In Tunisia la maggior parte dei cantieri pubblici e privati, infrastrutturali, residenziali e commerciali sono stati riaperti e comprendono anche grandi progetti turistici. In Egitto il settore immobiliare non sembra aver risentito particolarmente dei disordini politici e sociali e il settore più vivace continua ad essere quello residenziale, dove il fabbisogno di nuovi alloggi è stimato in 800.000 unità all’anno. Anche in Marocco il Governo sta compiendo notevoli sforzi per ridurre la carenza di abitazioni (stimata a inizio 2012 in 840.000 unità), e mira a dimezzare tale cifra entro il 2016 grazie alla realizzazione di 150.000 abitazioni popolari ogni anno tra il 2012 ed il 2020.

Se poi ci allontaniamo da queste due aree geografiche, si intravedono già anche quelle che potrebbero rappresentare in futuro nuove frontiere dell’industria del laterizio, mercati potenziali per i costruttori di impianti di dimensioni significative se non addirittura enormi. In questo numero parliamo per la volta di Iraq, ad esempio, sebbene il vero osservato speciale sia già per molti l’immensa India. 

The leading European manufacturers of heavy clay plant and machinery have just returned from the trade fair Mosbuild in Moscow and are about to set off for another equally important appointment, that of Batimatec in Algiers which is due to open on 4 May. A large portion of this issue of Brick World Review is devoted to Russia and Algeria (and the whole of the Maghreb region in general), without doubt two of today’s most interesting and receptive markets for building material manufacturing technology, including of course that of bricks and roof tiles.

Wienerberger, a leading Austrian brick and roof tile manufacturing group operating 226 factories in 30 countries worldwide, has reported very positive 2012 results.

Consolidated revenues grew by 23% to 2.4 billion euro, while gross operating margin totalled 246 million euro, 2% up on 2011. In spite of the drop in turnover in European countries, the recovery of the US construction market has significantly boosted results (the North American branch reported 43% growth). Pipelife, an Austrian manufacturer of plastic pipes with a presence in 27 countries acquired by the group in May 2012, also made a strong contribution to turnover (479 million euro). In spite of the substantial investments required for the acquisition, Wienerberger succeeded in generating a cash flow of € 164 million (compared to € 135 million in 2011) as a result of a strict management of working capital. The Bricks & Tiles Europe division generated revenues of 1,444 million euro, a fall of 6% (corresponding to an 11% decrease in volumes). This was due to the sharp downturn in the construction sector throughout Europe, including a number of the Group’s key markets such as

Holland, Belgium, France and Poland. In response to the difficult economic climate and the increase in production costs, Wienerberger has succeeded in increasing its average prices (+4%) and volumes of premium products. The lower usage of production capacity and consequently the rise in unit production costs have adversely affected profits and resulted in a 22% fall in gross operating margin. An intensive restructuring programme that began in the third quarter of 2012 with the aim of optimising costs will allow for estimated savings in production costs of 50 million euro by 2014, including 14 million euro already made in 2012 and a further 18 million euro expected this year. A total of 115 million euro has been earmarked for investments in new technologies and production innovation in 2013 with a view to generating further growth, as a result of which the group expects to increase its consolidated EBITDA to 280 million euro.

Tavella Atlantis

Domus Linea (Rubiera, province of Reggio Emilia, Italy) has launched Tavella Atlantis, an innovative residential hollow ceiling tile based on years of research and experimentation.

Produced by extrusion in accordance with the principles of green building, Tavella Atlantis is produced in a 25x50 cm size and with a maximum thickness of around 5 cm and comes in two versions: red, the natural colour of terracotta, and glazed white. It offers numerous advantages over standard materials such as a high breaking strength, which allows it to be walked on without the use of reinforcements, facilitates installation and guarantees complete safe-

ty for workers. Tavella Atlantis has obtained ANAB environmental certification attesting that it belongs to the category of materials categorised as “Ideal for Green Building”. The mark is issued by ICEA following strict laboratory testing and production site inspections and certifies the ecological, economic and social sustainability of products as well as very low radiation emissions.

Wienerberger, primario gruppo austriaco produttore di tegole e mattoni, presente in 30 paesi con 226 stabilimenti, chiude il 2012 più che positivamente. I ricavi consolidati registrano un incremento del 23% attestandosi a 2,4 miliardi di euro, mentre il margine operativo lordo risulta pari a 246 milioni di euro (+2% sul 2011). Pur con un giro d’affari in calo nei paesi europei, la ripresa del mercato delle costruzioni negli Stati Uniti ha influenzato in modo considerevole i risultati (+43% la filiale nordamericana), così come l’apporto in termini di fatturato di Pipelife (479 milioni di euro), azienda austriaca presente in 27 paesi, produttrice di tubi in plastica, acquisita dal gruppo a maggio 2012. Nonostante l’ingente investimento richiesto dall’acquisizione, Wienerberger è riuscita a generare un cash flow pari a € 164 milioni (135 milioni nel 2011) a seguito di una rigorosa gestione del capitale circolante.

visione Bricks & Tiles Europe ha realizzato ricavi per 1.444 milioni di euro, in calo del 6% e con una riduzione dei volumi dell’11% penalizzati dalla forte contrazione del settore delle costruzioni in tutta Europa, inclusi diversi mercati chiave del Gruppo come Paesi Bassi, Belgio, Francia e Polonia.

Per contrastare il difficile momento economico e l’aumento dei costi di produzione, Wienerberger è riuscita ad aumentare i prezzi medi (+4%) e i volumi dei prodotti premium. Il minor utilizzo di capacità produttiva, di conseguenza i maggiori costi unitari di produzione, hanno avuto un impatto negativo sugli utili e portato a un calo del 22% del margine operativo lordo. Un intenso piano di ristrutturazione, teso all’ottimizzazione dei costi e iniziato nel terzo trimestre 2012, consentirà un risparmio nei costi di produzione stimato in 50 milioni di euro entro il 2014, di cui 14 già realizzati nel corso del 2012 e 18 previsti quest’anno. Per il 2013 sono già stati destinati 115 milioni di euro per investimenti in nuova tecnologia e innovazione di prodotto attraverso i quali generare ulteriore crescita: il gruppo infatti conta di portare l’EBITDA consolidato a 280 milioni di euro.

Una soluzione innovativa per solai residenziali proviene da Domus Linea, azienda di Rubiera (Reggio Emilia, Italia), che lancia sul mercato Tavella Atlantis, frutto di anni di ricerca e sperimentazione. In linea con i dettami della bioledilizia e realizzata con il metodo dell’estrusione, Tavella Atlantis viene pro-

dotta nel formato 25x50 cm, con spessore massimo di ca 5 cm, e proposta in due versioni: rossa, il colore naturale del cotto, e smaltata bianca. Rispetto ai comuni materiali presenta innumerevoli vantaggi come un elevato carico di rottura che la rende pedonabile senza l’utilizzo di tralicci d’armatura, agevolando così la posa e garantendo la totale sicurezza dei lavoratori.

Tavella Atlantis ha ottenuto la certificazione ambientale ANAB che ne attesta l’appartenenza al gruppo di materiali “Ideali per la Bioedilizia”.

Il marchio è rilasciato da ICEA dopo rigorosi test di laboratorio e ispezioni nel sito produttivo e certifica la sostenibilità ecologica, economica e sociale e il bassissimo rilascio di radiazioni.

Capaccioli Group

reports strong results

As a result of its hard work in pursuing innovation and quality in its plants, Capaccioli Group has reported strong results in 2012 and is looking forward to an equally successful 2013. The clay pre-processing plant for stove plates and bricks at the Romanian factory owned by the multinational Cersanit underwent final testing in July 2012 following a rapid start-up phase. The line comprises box feeders for clay and sand, an FD 60.10 crusher, an LS1008 roller mill, an LF 1210 ø 0.6 mm fine roller mill, an MF400 filter mixer, an M450/S extruder and a ø 0.4 mm chamotte milling plant. Excellent results have been attained in terms of both production and product quality.

At the Montesarchio facility owned by the Moccia Group (Italy), the new automated equipment for cutting and dryer loading and unloading and the setting machine came into operation at the end of October 2012. The line handles a considerable variety of products including floor blocks and curtain wall blocks.

At the end of November 2012, a new cutting and loading line was set up for the dryer purchased by Kilsan (Turkey). The line is fed by two extruders and consists of two symmetric cutting lines that feed a chain/roller programming bench equipped with various drives. The wet material is loaded by means of a robot equipped

with a light alloy gripper with recirculating ball-bearing guides and systems for piece separation. Special attention was devoted to the grip strength adjustment system to enable the gripper to grasp the products effectively but without damaging freshly extruded material. The line is capable of managing a large variety of materials and reaches an output of more than 18,000 pieces/hour. Capaccioli is expecting strong growth during the current year in Algeria, a market where it has a longstanding presence. In the first half of 2013, a complete plant is due to start up at Briquetterie Naili (Algiers) for the production of 200,000 tons of hollow bricks a year. The plant is already undergoing assembly and will include the latest version of the FD 60.15 toothed disk crusher. A complete plant with a capacity of 400,000 tons/ year is undergoing start-up at the Messaud facility (Bouira), consisting of a clay preparation line, two production and extrusion lines, two kilns, two dryers, automated kiln car loading and unloading systems and packaging and truck loading lines. It is due to begin production in April 2013.

Un 2012 caratterizzato da importanti risultati e un 2013 altrettanto promettente per il Gruppo Capaccioli, che raccoglie i frutti del forte impegno orientato a perseguire innovazione e qualità nella realizzazione dei propri impianti.

A luglio 2012, dopo una veloce fase di avviamento, è stato collaudato l’impianto di prelavorazione argilla per la produzione di piastre da stufa e mattoni presso la sede rumena della multinazionale Cersanit. La linea comprende: cassoni per argilla e sabbia, frantumatore FD 60.10, laminatoio LS1008, laminatoio finitore LF 1210 ø 0,6mm, mescolatore filtro MF400, mattoniera M450/S e impianto per la macinazione della chamotte ø 0,4mm. Ottimi i risultati ottenuti sia per quanto riguarda la produzione che la qualità del prodotto.

Presso lo stabilimento di Montesarchio del Gruppo Moccia (Italia) è entrata in produzione alla fine di ottobre 2012 la nuova linea di automatismi di taglio e carico dell’essiccatoio, scarico e impilatrice. La linea gestisce una notevole varietà di prodotti tra cui solaio e tramezze. A fine novembre 2012 invece, è stata messa a punto la nuova linea di taglio e carico dell’essiccatoio

already operating in their respective areas. The company chose these important markets with a view to further expanding its market share and providing a highquality service tailored to its customers’ specific technical and commercial requirements.

La linea è alimentata da due mattoniere ed è composta da due linee di taglio simmetriche che alimentano un banco di programmazione a catene/rulli dotato da diverse motorizzazioni. Il carico del materiale umido è effettuato per mezzo di un robot dotato di pinza in lega leggera con guide a ricircolazione di sfere e sistemi per il distanziamento dei pezzi. Cura particolare è stata posta nel sistema di regolazione della stretta per consentire alla pinza una presa adeguata senza tuttavia danneggiare il materiale appena estruso. La linea è capace di gestire una notevole varietà di materiali ed una produzione di oltre 18.000 pezzi/ora. Per l’anno in corso si prevedono particolari sviluppi in Algeria dove Capaccioli è peraltro già presente da tempo.

Nella prima metà del 2013 è infatti previsto l’avviamento di un impianto completo presso Briquetterie Naili (Algeri) per la produzione di 200.000 tonnellate di forati all’anno il cui assemblaggio è già in corso e dove sarà inserita l’ultima versione del frantumatore a dischi dentati FD 60.15. È in fase di avviamento, inoltre, un impianto completo da 400.000 ton/anno, presso gli stabilimenti di Messaud (Bouira), composto da una linea di preparazione argilla, due linee di produzione ed estrusione, due forni, due essiccatoi, automatismi per il carico scarico carri forno e linee di imballaggio e carico sul camion. L’entrata in produzione è prevista per aprile 2013.

On 30 November last year, Jean-Jacques Wagner was appointed managing director of Ceric Technologies, a wellknown producer of turnkey plants for the heavy clay industry. After gaining a degree in mechanical engineering at the Ecole Central in Lyon and a masters in company administration in 1984, Wagner held a number of positions at the Ceric group: from 2000 to 2003 as Development Director at the Ceric branch in Denver, from 2003 to 2007 as managing director of

For the new facility built by EBMPolska (Etex Building Material Polska) in Widsiszewo, around sixty kilometres south of Poznan, Poland and opened in September 2012, Bongioanni Macchine has supplied Crono 333 presses in a three-mould configuration, the latest innovation deriving from the company’s hundred years of experience. The plant has an annual production of 30 million roof tiles of various sizes and consists of two fully-independent lines each with their own separately fed extruder. The equipment supplied by Bongioanni begins at the end of the auger tips of the two extruders: the subsidiary Bongioanni Stampi, already a leader in the shaping sector, has been expanding its range of offerings for a number of years with the addition of pressure heads and dies custom built for its various customers’ extruders, whether for bricks or as in this case for bats.

Over the last two decades, most major installations have involved the adoption of the system with two specular exits and subsequent 90° rotation of the clay columns by a double parabolic conveyor followed by a rotatingblade cutter with synchronised tracking cutting. The cutter guarantees a length cutting precision of ± 2 mm thanks to the two motors with inverter and encoder which control the movement carriage and the blade. After cutting, the bats move along

The machines are equipped with upper mould-bearing plates with a plaster consumption reduction system, a device developed by Bongioanni and already installed in 1995 for the German group Creaton (now also part of the Etex group) and subsequently adopted by other companies in the sector. The last of the special features of the press are the hydraulic closure of the trimming heads and use of the V.V.P. (Variazione di Velocità in Pressata®), which allows for a considerable improvement in product quality.

Per il nuovissimo stabilimento realizzato da EBM-Polska (Etex Building Material Polska), a Widsiszewo, una sessantina di Km a sud di Poznan (Polonia) e inaugurato a settembre 2012, Bongioanni Macchine ha fornito le presse Crono 333 in configurazione a tre stampi, ultime nate dalla centenaria esperienza dell’azienda. Il progetto, che prevede la produzione di 30 milioni di pezzi/anno di tegole in diversi formati, è composto da due linee che si contraddistinguono per la loro completa indipendenza l’una dall’altra grazie alla dotazione di un proprio estrusore anch’esso alimentato separatamente. La fornitura Bongioanni ha inizio proprio al termine dell’elica di punta delle due mattoniere: infatti, la consociata Bongioanni Stampi, già leader nel settore della formatura, da alcuni anni ha implementato la sua offerta con bocche e filiere, costruite ad hoc per le trafile dei vari clienti, sia

per mattoni che, come in questo caso, per gallette. L’ultimo ventennio di installazioni importanti ha suggerito l’adozione del sistema a due uscite speculari con successiva rotazione di 90° dei filoni, tramite doppia rulliera parabolica affiancata, seguita da una taglierina a coltelli rotanti con taglio ad inseguimento sincronizzato. La taglierina garantisce una precisione sulla lunghezza di ± 2 mm grazie ai due motori con inverter ed encoder che controllano il carrello di spostamento e il coltello stesso. Dopo la fase di taglio, le gallette passano su due nastri a tappeto, detti divaricatori, dove poi vengono immesse sul sistema di ripartizione automatico a passo del pellegrino, il cui compito è appunto di smistarle in modo da garantire la corretta alimentazione alle tre vie della pressa. Successivamente, dopo aver transitato su di una curva a tappeto a 90° a nastro unico, le gallette vengono immesse sul caricatore a tappeti, da dove vengono poi condotte sugli stampi inferiori. Le macchine sono state equipaggiate di piastre porta-stampi superiori con sistema di recupero consumo gesso, una creazione Bongioanni già installata nel ‘95 per il gruppo tedesco Creaton, ora, anch’esso parte del gruppo Etex e adottata poi anche da altre aziende del settore. Gli “special” presenti sulle presse terminano con la chiusura idraulica degli sbavatori e l’utilizzo della V.V.P. (Variazione di Velocità in Pressata®), che consente un notevole incremento della qualità dei manufatti.

Before joining the Keller Division, he worked for Thyssen Stahlunion and spent 15 years in operations management at the Engineering Division of the Linde Group, a global leader in industrial gases and engineering solutions. Initially responsible for negotiating major contracts for markets in South America and Asia, Jochen Nippel was in charge of Linde’s operations in China for five years, first as CFO and subsequently as CEO for the engineering site in Hangzhou and production facilities in Dalian. In 2010, he was appointed Managing Director of Linde Engineering Middle East.

As part of the investments made by Kapital Invest for the brick factory at Prokhladny, Russia, last December the Italian company Fazzini Filiere (Moscufo, province of Pescara) supplied four double flow regulation dies with wearresistant chrome-plated steel parts for the production of interlocking blocks for loadbearing walls, interlocking partitions and semi-solid facing bricks. The spare parts supplied subsequent to this initial order will be made directly from tungsten carbide (Widia), a material with extremely high abrasion resistance.

Although Fazzini Filiere has been operating in the brick extrusion sector for 50 years, this is the first contract it has secured in Russia. It is now focusing more strongly on this market, as demonstrated by its participation in this year’s Mosbuild in Moscow.

Sales remain buoyant in Fazzini’s established markets. The company’s 2012 turnover, up from 2011, consisted of 30%

grinding. Bricks are ground on their top and bottom surfaces to reduce the quantity of mortar required and to considerably reduce thermal bridging. The key characteristic of this grinding system is the use of a novel water cooling solution for fired products in place of conventional air cooling. Il mattone viene rettificato sia sopra che sotto per limitare l’impiego della malta ottenendo una notevole riduzione dei ponti termici. La proprietà chiave di questo sistema di rettifica risiede nell’utilizzo di un raffreddamento ad acqua, invece del classico raffreddamento ad aria.

I dischi di lavorazione vengono quindi costantemente raffreddati e ciò garantisce una maggiore durata nel tempo della macchina, minori pezzi soggetti ad usura, maggior risparmio energetico, produzione e qualità del prodotto. Nella propria sede Cismac ha installato un banco di prova dove è possibile testare il nuovo sistema di rettifica con raffreddamento ad acqua.

The Algerian show Batimatec, North Africa’s largest construction industry exhibition to be held in the Palais des Expositions/ Safex expo centre at Pin Maritimes, Algiers from 4 to 8 May, is generating ever greater interest amongst industry professionals. The expectations for this sixteenth edition of the show are fuelled by the excellent results attained at last year’s event, which hosted the largest number of exhibitors ever. In a floor space of 36,000 sq.m there were more than a thousand companies, half Algerian and the other half international businesses from more than 23 countries worldwide. The exhibition will be hosting all the key product sectors relevant to the building industry, including construction materials (heavy clay, ceramic, concrete, etc); production machinery, plant and equipment; materials for decoration and interior finishings (natural stone, wood, coatings); heating and cooling systems; earthmoving equipment; plumbing; and building chemicals.

Il mercato delle costruzioni in Nord Africa The five countries making up the Maghreb region (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt) have a large combined economy and make up a substantial portion of the GDP of the entire African continent. With a population of more than 170 million inhabitants, North Africa occupies a strategic position as a crossroads between the Arab world and Africa but with a strong focus on Europe, and accounts for one third of the continent’s entire GDP (around US $700 billion in 2012). In spite of the sharp downturn following the Arab Spring uprisings two years ago, North Africa is far from stagnant. Algeria and Morocco are both developing rapidly, Tunisia is following in their footsteps, Egypt reported 60% growth in real estate activity in 2012 and Libya is reopening its construction sites.

The region as a whole is expected to achieve 3.6% GDP growth in 2013, a higher figure than the European average in spite of the severe downturn of 2011. In the Maghreb region, the construction industry is experiencing particularly rapid growth, with social housing programmes and major public infrastructure projects attracting total investments estimated at billions of euro. The top priority of the various countries’ governments is clearly to guarantee a better standard of living for the population (the main cause of the civil unrest) and thereby restore lasting social and economic stability. In a region where home ownership is culturally very important, jobs and housing are naturally at the top of the political agenda.

Libya At a meeting held at the end of November, Deputy Prime Minister Awad Barassi and Minister of Housing and Utilities Ali Al Sharif announced that Libya requires 900,000 new homes.

The fall of the regime ushered in a new period in Libya’s history during which it began to rebuild the infrastructure damaged during the war and launched new development projects. The last edition of the construction industry exhibition Libya Build (Tripoli, 2024 May 2012) saw very strong exhibitor participation (including 130 Italian companies) ready to seize the business opportunities offered by the country’s postwar reconstruction efforts. Before the war the construction sector attracted more than 5 billion euro of total investments per year, with a peak of 6.7 billion euro in 2009. The infrastructure sector accounted for almost 50% of the market at 3.2 billion euro. Over the course of 10 years, between 2000 and 2010, investments in public works totalled around 26 billion euro. At more than 5,500 euro per capita (at purchasing power pari-

Grazie alla posizione strategica (incrocio tra mondo arabo e Africa, con lo sguardo puntato sull’Europa), il Nord Africa produce un terzo del prodotto interno lordo del continente (circa 700 miliardi di dollari nel 2012) e conta più di 170 milioni di abitanti. Nonostante la brusca flessione di due anni fa, in concomitanza con i moti della Primavera Araba, il Nord Africa è tutt’altro che in stallo. L’Algeria corre, il Marocco fa altrettanto, la Tunisia gioca la sua parte, l’Egitto a fine 2012 ha registrato un aumento del 60% dell’attività immobiliare, la Libia riapre i suoi cantieri. Le stime di crescita indicano un +3,6% del PIL dell’intera area per il 2013, un tasso che, malgrado la caduta verticale del 2011, è superiore alla media europea. Nella regione del Maghreb, l’industria delle costruzioni in particolare, sta attraversando un periodo di forte impennata. Si parla di piani di social housing, di importanti interventi pubblici in infrastrutture, investimenti complessivi stimati in miliardi di euro. Le priorità governative sono chiare e tendono a garantire in primis un maggior benessere alla popolazione (principale causa dei disordini civili) al fine di ripristinare in modo durevole una certa stabilità sociale ed economica. In una regione dove la proprietà della casa è culturalmente molto importante, i programmi hanno necessariamente posizionato lavoro e alloggio al primo posto nell’agenda politica.

Libia La Libia ha bisogno di 900.000 nuove abitazioni. È il dato emerso nel corso del meeting di fine novembre tra il Vice Primo Ministro Awad Barassi e il Ministro per gli Alloggi e Servizi Ali Al Sharif. Dopo la caduta del regime, per la Libia si è aperta una nuova fase storica per il ripristino delle infrastrutture danneggiate dalla guerra e per nuovi progetti di sviluppo. La scorsa edizione di Lybia Build, fiera dedicata all’industria delle costruzioni (Tripoli, 2024 maggio 2012), ha registrato una massiccia partecipazione di aziende espositrici (130 solo le aziende italiane) pronte a cogliere le opportunità di business collegate alla ricostruzione del Paese nella fase post-bellica. Prima della guerra, il settore delle costruzioni valeva, in termini di investimenti complessivi, oltre 5 miliardi di euro all’anno (con un picco di 6,7 miliardi nel 2009).

The crisis triggered by the civil war more than halved the sector’s activities, but in the current context of gradual political stabilisation the market is expected to return to close to prewar levels within two or three years. The recovery in investments will mainly be linked to new building activities, especially in the residential and civil engineering sectors.

Investments of 8 billion euro are expected to be made between 2013 and 2014 to finance reconstruction of severely damaged buildings in a number of cities as well as new infrastructures (railways, motorways, airports and ports).

Tunisia Following the protests and popular uprisings known as the Jasmine Revolution which adversely affected Tunisia’s economy in 2011, the market is now recovering strongly. Most public and private, infrastructure, residential and commercial construction sites have been reopened. The sector has also been revived by demand following the start of reconstruction work in Libya given Tunisia’s role as a historic supply platform.

The construction industry has also benefited from the national infrastructure programme for the historically more underdeveloped interior regions, which will account for 60% of public development funding. Road construction has already begun.

In the twoyear period 20122014, the directorate general for civil construction, part of the Tunisian Infrastructures Ministry, will benefit from a knowhow exchange programme funded by the EU in which France, Germany and Portugal will act as partners. The goals of the programme include strengthening green building laws and promoting this form of building throughout Tunisia.

The country is drawing the attention of foreign investors who are looking with renewed interest at the real estate sector. A number of largescale tourism developments and a major public social housing programme have attracted large flows of capital into the country. According to figures published by the Agence de Promotion de l’Investissement Extérieur en Tunisie (FIPA), foreign investments in the real estate sector between January and October 2012 amounted to 4.5% of the total (4.8% in 2010), equal to 75 million dinar (36.5 million

La ripresa degli investimenti riguarderà soprattutto le attività di nuova costruzione, in particolare nel settore residenziale e del genio civile. Si stimano investimenti per 8 miliardi di euro tra il 2013 e il 2014, che andranno a finanziare le attività di ricostruzione del contesto edilizio fortemente danneggiato in alcune città e nuove infrastrutture (ferrovie, autostrade, aeroporti e porti).

Tunisia Dopo le proteste e le sommosse popolari note come “rivolta dei gelsomini”, che hanno segnato negativamente l’economia tunisina nel 2011, il mercato è in netta ripresa. La maggior parte dei cantieri pubblici e privati, infrastrutturali, residenziali e commerciali sono stati riaperti. Il settore è stato rivitalizzato anche dalla domanda proveniente dalla Libia, dove la ricostruzione è iniziata e la piattaforma di approvvigionamento storica della Tunisia ha costituito il primo bacino di fornitura a cui attingere; l’industria delle costruzioni ha beneficiato inoltre del piano nazionale per le infrastrutture delle regioni dell’entroterra (storicamente più arretrate), dove sono già iniziate opere di costruzioni stradali e alle quali verrà dedicato il 60% dei finanziamenti pubblici allo sviluppo. Per il biennio 20122014, la direzione generale delle costruzioni civili, parte del Ministero delle infrastrutture tunisino, beneficerà di un programma di scambio di know how, finanziato dalla UE, che vede come partner Francia, Germania e Portogallo. Tra gli obiettivi del programma vi è quello di rinforzare le norme che regolano l’eco-costruzione e promuoverla su tutto il territorio tunisino. Grande attenzione da parte degli investitori esteri che guardano al settore immobiliare con rinnovato interesse. Diversi grandi progetti turistici e un importante programma pubblico di edilizia sociale, hanno infatti portato congrui afflussi di capitali nel Paese. Secondo i dati pubblicati dall’Agence de Promotion de l’Investissement Extérieur en Tunisie (FIPA), gli investimenti stranieri nel settore immobiliare, tra gennaio e ottobre 2012, hanno toccato il 4,5%

euro). This figure is very close to that of the same period in 2010 when the country reported foreign investments of 82.3 million dinar (40 million euro) and is far higher than that of 2011 (+588%). Qatar is the largest investor (34 million euro for the construction of a luxury hotel in Tozeur with a total value of 60.8 million euro), together with the United Arab Emirates which has reaffirmed its commitment to launching a large tourism real estate project (Tunis Sport City) with an estimated investment of US $5 billion. Property prices are rising, having seen an average increase of 0.82% between January and November 2012. The favourable situation is benefiting properties in residential areas such as the new districts on the outskirts of Tunis, as well as those of the popular area of La Soukra (+14% in the first 6 months of 2012) and of Sidi Bousaïd, the most expensive district of Tunis where property prices have reached 2,600 dinars (1,265 euro) per square metre. In highend areas such as El Maâmoura house prices have soared by 22% and in El Kantaoui they have risen by 12%. These price increases have naturally made it more difficult for lowincome Tunisian families to purchase properties.

To solve this problem, in April 2012 the government announced a plan to build 30,000 social housing units across the country with a value of one billion dinars (486.9 million euro) by 2013. In September 2012, the Ministry for public works launched an international competition for the funding of the first stage of a project to build 11,800 houses in the cities of Tunis, L’Ariana, Ben Arous and La Manouba. Algeria The Algerian construction market is continuing to grow, largely boosted by the public investments included in the 20102014 fiveyear plan approved by the Algerian Council of Ministers in May 2010. This envisages total funding of US $286 billion, including US $130 billion for the completion of projects started up but not finished during the previous fiveyear plan.

After a severely delayed start, largely due to the eruption of social tensions in early 2011, the plan launched by the Algerian government involves the provision of US $156 billion for the startup of new projects in the fields of social structures, civil works, housing and basic infrastructures.

This plan covers both new build and modernisation of existing buildings, including: 5,000 educational institutions (primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities and professional training centres) and university accommodation for a million students; 1,500 healthcare facilities including 172 hospitals, 45 specialist centres, 377 clinics and 17 training centres for paramedics; 2 million new houses, of which 1.2 million are to be completed by 2014 and the rest to be built between 2015 and 2017; overall modernisation and largescale expansion of the electricity grid and 220,000 new connections to the natural gas network, especially in the rural areas of the country; 5,000 recreational and sports facilities, including 80 stadiums, 160 multipurpose halls and 400 swimming pools.

The resources generated by rationalisation of subsidies (especially energy subsidies, which have an estimated cost of 12% of GDP) and by the increase in tax revenues should make it possible to maintain expenditure on social policies and to support infrastructure investments.

The macroeconomic prospects are greatly weakened by the difficulties in the European markets, with which Egypt has strong links. Nonetheless foreign investors, especially those from the Gulf region (Qatar in particular has provided Egypt with a total of US $5 billion in financial support, while further investments have been pledged for the long term), are continuing to look at the country with interest while waiting for the situation to stabilise.

But in spite of the economic situation, the real estate industry appears not to have been particularly affected by the unrest. Industry experts attribute this to the growing need for housing due to the increase in population and the fact that many construction firms are rushing to complete projects in progress before the tax reform comes into effect.

According to the Technical Inspection Office of the Ministry of Building, there was a 60% increase in real estate activity at the end of 2012 compared to the same period in 2011, concentrated above all in the residential areas of Cairo and in the administrative centres of the other provinces.

The residential sector is currently the most buoyant. Egypt is particularly deficient in housing and needs an estimated 800,000 new homes a year, whereas the current building capacity is no higher than 200,000 housing units. For this purpose, projects should be speeded up and facilitated by the new law on publicprivate partnerships (PPP).

This form of state participation in projects should also boost implementation of the programme launched by the government in the infrastructures sector with a view to modernising and developing road, rail, port, healthcare and water facilities.

Alone amongst the countries in Mediterranean Africa, Morocco is an example of peaceful reform that until now has succeeded in maintaining a certain degree of internal stability. Unlike the rulers of neighbouring states, the King of Morocco has been amenable to meeting the demands of the population and has launched a series of reforms. Although considered largely cosmetic by many international observers, these reforms were able to prevent the spread of the Arab Spring revolts that occurred in other North African countries, while the esteem enjoyed by the monarchy was a further contributing factor.

In this scenario of relative political calm, the Moroccan economy has expanded in recent years, although following 4.9% GDP growth in 2011 it saw a slowdown in 2012 (just 2.9% growth). However, the IMF forecasts for 2013 point to a recovery in growth with annual GDP up by 5.5%.

focus on north africa In spite of the negative effects of the European sovereign debt crisis, this continued economic growth has been accompanied by a strong performance in the real estate sector.

Although this sector has always been the main target for foreign investments, it has seen a significant structural change in recent years. Before the economic crisis hit in 2008, the largest projects were for luxury tourism and residential building. Demand in these sectors has subsequently fallen in favour of social and midrange housing, which has helped to stimulate the building market and has boosted the production of building materials.

According to figures published by the Moroccan Ministry of Building and Planning, foreign investments in the building sector grew by 12.8% year on year in 2011 (734 million euro) but suffered a fall in the first four months of 2012 (125.4 million euro compared to the 188 million euro of the same period in 2011). However, domestic spending helped to keep the industry buoyant.

The Government is currently making determined efforts to reduce the housing shortage, which at the start of 2012 was estimated at 840,000 housing units. It aims to halve this figure by 2016 through a housing development programme that will involve the construction of 150,000 social housing units between 2012 and 2020. More than 66,000 housing units were completed in the first half of 2012, of which around 48,000 were social housing units, 16.6% up on the same period in 2011. To encourage house purchasing amongst the less affluent segments of the population, in 2010 the government launched a budget law, subsequently extended to the end of 2013, containing a series of measures including tax relief and exemptions from land registry fees and VAT. The midranging housing segment also shows considerable opportunity for growth, especially in the Rabat and Casablanca areas where house prices have remained stable since 2008. Nonetheless, the market is hampered by the lack of urban land for the construction of new buildings. To address this problem, the government is planning to develop 11 new cities close to the country’s largest urban areas.

Work has already begun in the cities of Tamansourt, Tamesna, Lakhyayata, Chrafate, Zenata and Tagadirt, and according to the figures in the 2013 budget more than 76,000 housing units will be built in the first phase of the programme.

Substantial investments are also planned for infrastructures, especially transport (including expansion of the motorway network, planned to reach a total length of 1,800 km in 2015; completion of the highspeed CasablancaTangiers line via Rabat, also due for completion in 2015; maintenance and expansion of the country’s main airports; and the creation of more than 70 logistic areas across the country with the aim of considerably reducing product transport and storage costs). The highlight of this plan is the expansion of TangiersMed, the port located 22 km east of Tangiers, one of the major ports of the Mediterranean and one of the largest in Africa. The port expansion, known as TangiersMed II, has been under construction since 2009 and when completed in 2015 will have the capacity to handle more than 8 million containers, 7 million passengers and (JF)  700,000 trucks.

Secondo i dati forniti dal Ministro dell’edilizia e della pianificazione marocchino, nel 2011 gli investimenti stranieri nel settore edilizio sono cresciuti del 12,8% su base annua (734 milioni di euro), subendo tuttavia un calo nel primo quadrimestre del 2012 (125,4 milioni di euro rispetto ai 188 milioni dello stesso periodo 2011), sebbene la spesa interna abbia aiutato a mantenere il settore in attività. Specialising in hollow bricks and Portuguese roof tiles, the three companies Sarl BMSD (Sarl Briqueterie Moderne de Saida), Eurl Sobris Briqueterie and Eurl BB (Eurl Briqueterie de Bouira) have a combined annual output of around 450,000 tons.

The group’s other businesses are Sarl BMSD Chaux, set up in 2007 and specialising in the production of lime, and Sarl Manbaa Al Golea, which bottles Salsabil mineral water.

Led by chairman Idriss Ayadi, the group has been operating in Algeria since 2004 and currently has more than 500 employees. It operates in various provinces: in the west, in the cities of Orano and Saida; in the centre of the country near Bouira; and in the east in the Hauts Plateaux, around Ménéa.

The group has achieved steady growth in the heavy clay sector, making investments in technology to keep up with the country’s growing demand for bricks and roof tiles.

Brick production comprises the classic B8 100x200 mm and B12 150x200 mm hollow bricks, which are sold entirely on the Algerian market, but also includes special pieces such as the “platrière”, a thin partition block.

Sarl Briqueterie Moderne de Saida was founded in 2004 but completely refurbished its plants in 2009. This project involved a sizeable investment and a two-year halt in production. Operations resumed in 2011 with the addition of Portuguese roof tiles to its range. With around 150 employees, Sarl Briqueterie Moderne de Saida has a current annual production capaci-

Il gruppo BMSD è attivo sul mercato algerino con 5 aziende che operano nel settore dei materiali da costruzione e in quello alimentare. Specializzate nel mattone forato e nella tegola portoghese, le tre società Sarl BMSD (Sarl Briqueterie Moderne de Saida), Eurl Sobris Briqueterie e Eurl BB (Eurl Briqueterie de Bouira) sviluppano da sole una produzione annua che si aggira sulle 450.000 tonnellate.

Le altre attività del gruppo riguardano invece la Sarl BMSD Chaux, nata nel 2007, specializzata nella produzione di calce, e Sarl Manbaa Al Golea che opera nell’imbottigliamento dell’acqua minerale Salsabil. Acquired in 2005, Eurl Sobris Briqueterie and Eurl Briqueterie de Bouira began production in 2007 and together have around 230 employees. With an output of more than 360,000 tons/year, the companies aim to double their capacity in the medium term through the purchase of new kilns and dryers.

The group has frequently chosen Italian partners for its technological development programmes.

The extruder dies in particular have been supplied entirely by Tecnofiliere, which has provided support to the Algerian group’s brick factories from design through to after-sales assistance.

In recent years, Tecnofiliere has mainly supplied model CF1FC and TFE dies with 6 exits for B8 10x20 cm and 4 exits for B12 15x20 cm bricks, developing custom solutions with tungsten carbide accessories. This material has the toughness and hardness necessary to withstand the high levels of wear typical of the extrusion process.

The absence of chrome-plating companies in Algeria has made this choice of metal obligatory for parts particularly subject to clay abrasion.

Tecnofiliere has also supplied 620 mm diameter pressure heads with external braking systems, the latest of which featured a special application to lengthen the lifetime of the equipment.

Con un volume produttivo di oltre 360.000 ton/anno, le fornaci aspirano nel medio termine a raddoppiare la capacità produttiva con l’acquisizione di nuovi forni ed essiccatoi.

Nell’ambito dei propri piani di sviluppo tecnologico il gruppo ha spesso privilegiato partner italiani. In particolare, nel campo dell’estrusione, la fornitura delle filiere è totalmente affidata a Tecnofiliere, che ha sempre seguito le varie fornaci del gruppo algerino dalla progettazione fino al servizio post-vendita.

Negli ultimi anni, Tecnofiliere ha fornito soprattutto filiere modello CF1-FC e TFE a 6 uscite di B8 100x200 e a 4 uscite di B12 150x20, studiando soluzioni ad hoc che prevedono l’impiego di complementi in carburo di tungsteno, materiale con caratteristiche di tenacità e durezza tali da far fronte all’elevata usura durante il processo di estrusione.

La mancanza di aziende di cromatura in Algeria, ha reso infatti inevitabile la scelta di tale metallo per le parti maggiormente soggette all’abrasione dell’argilla.

Tecnofiliere ha inoltre fornito bocche diametro 620 mm con sistemi di frenatura esterna, l’ultima fornitura in particolare è stata dotata di una particolare applicazione che consente di allungare il ciclo di vita dell’attrezzatura. 

Bedeschi focuses on the Maghreb

Il Maghreb nell’agenda Bedeschi Along with its strong presence in the markets of Eastern Europe, the Middle and Far East and South America, Bedeschi is also reinforcing its position in North Africa.

The historic Italian company is continuing to achieve strong results in the region, particularly in Algeria and Tunisia, securing major new contracts to supply machinery for brick and tile production.

Bedeschi recently secured three contracts to supply raw materials preparation and production lines to the companies Sarl Briqueterie Sahari El Outaya, Sarl Briqueterie Djelfa and Sarl Biquetterie Errahma. These lines have a capacity of 800 tons/day and are equivalent to the one installed on the premises of Sarl Eloutaya in Biskrà (Amouri Group), set up in record time with the customer’s assistance and currently fully operational well in advance of the contractual time limits.

The lines consist of: • 2 box feeders with hopper for dosing the raw materials • 1 toothed crusher equipped with two motors • 1 new type DS 450/1200 disintegrator • 1 refining roller mill • 1 new and fully improved GG 4500 double shaft mixer filter (more than 20 have already been installed in Algeria) • 1 box feeder for sand • 1 storage system equipped with BEL F 80/13 type lateral excavator • 1 large box feeder with hopper as a buffer • 1 second GG 4500 type double shaft mixer filter • 1 LPS 12x10 new concept refining roller mill equipped with a new type of grinding machine and a new internal cleaning system • 1 BED 750 SLS extruder of diameter 750 mm equipped with a large mixing grid, double lubrication station for reduction gears and a large sized radiator for tropical temperatures.

Oltre alla forte presenza sui mercati dell’Est Europa, Medio ed Estremo Oriente e Sud America, Bedeschi continua a rafforzare la propria posizione sul mercato del Nord Africa.

La storica azienda italiana continua infatti a raccogliere importanti risultati in primis in Algeria e Tunisia, con la firma di nuovi prestigiosi contratti di fornitura per la produzione di mattoni.

Tre recenti commesse in particolare testimoniano la solidità di Bedeschi sul territorio algerino, dove l’azienda ha fornito impianti di preparazione materie prime a Sarl Briqueterie Sahari El Outaya, Sarl Briqueterie Djelfa, Sarl Biquetterie Errahma. Le linee, da 800 ton/giorno, sono equivalenti a quelle installate presso Sarl Eloutaya di Biskrà (gruppo Amouri), attualmente in piena produzione e portate a regime in tempi record rispetto alle intese contrattuali.

Briquetterie Amouri Laghouat equipped with two production lines and six roller mills (28 units supplied to date in Algeria) and two BED 750 SLS type extruders. And at Mostaghanem near Oran in the north of the country, Bedeschi recently signed a contract with the companies Tafna and Zenata to supply a GG 5500 type large size mixer and three complete box feeders.

Tunisia is another very important market for Bedeschi. In February 2013, just 4 months after signing the contract, Bedeschi supplied its longstanding customer BKS with an LPS 12x10 roller mill, a GG 4500 mixer and a BED 750 extruder to modernise the existing production line.

In the south of the country, Bedeschi has secured a major contract with the prestigious group Tejra/ Prish/BFS for two complete lines consisting of two box feeders and a RS650/1500 toothed crusher equipped with two motors. The line is able to prepare wet product using a disintegrator, 2 box feeders and two new-concept LPS12X10 roller mills, while the dry process uses four hammer mills.

The line also features two large buffer apron feeders followed by a large size GGS 5500 mixer filter to give the clay the right moisture content before entering the storage unit, which in turn is equipped with a lateral excavator with 130 litre buckets and a boom of length of almost 15 metres and a capacity of 130 tons/day. At the exit the line splits into two production lines, each consisting of one CNL 8/1500 box feeder, an LPS 12x10 roller mill, a GG 4500 double-shaft mixer filter and a BED 750 SLS extruder.

A brick plant with a daily output of 1800 tons/day will be implemented in Agareb, while a second project with the same capacity will be erected in the city of Medenine in the south of Tunisia.

Furthermore, local offices staffed by specialist technical personnel have been set up to offer customers better support and faster technical service and spare parts supply. The projects testify to Bedeschi’s strong industrial organisation, its consolidated know-how and the expertise acquired in more (JF)  than 100 years in the industry.

Se l’Algeria va a gonfie vele, anche la Tunisia non è da meno e rappresenta un altro mercato particolarmente florido per l’azienda di Limena. A febbraio 2013, dopo soli 4 mesi dalla firma del contratto, sono stati forniti un laminatoio LPS 12x10, un mescolatore GG 4500 e una mattoniera BED 750 a BKS, storico cliente Bedeschi, per l’ ammodernamento della linea di produzione esistente. Nel sud del Paese invece, è stato messo a punto un importante contratto con il prestigioso gruppo Tejra/ Prish/BFS che prevede due linee complete composte da: due cassoni e un frantumatore dentato a due motori tipo RS650/1500. La linea è in grado di lavorare il prodotto umido grazie a un disintegratore, 2 cassoni alimentatori e due laminatoi di nuova concezione LPS12X10, mentre il secco è realizzato con quattro mulini a martelli. La linea è inoltre dotata di due cassoni con tappeto in metallo e un mescolatore GGS 5500 per dare il giusto grado di umidità all’argilla prima della sua immissione nel deposito dove è ubicato un escavatore laterale con tazze da 130 litri e braccio lungo quasi 15 metri e con una capacità produttiva di 130 ton/ giorno. All’uscita, la linea si divide in due linee di produzione, ognuna composta da un cassone CNL 8/1500, un laminatoio LPS 12x10, un mescolatore a doppio albero GG 4500 e una mattoniera BED 750 SLS. Un ulteriore impianto per mattoni, in grado di raggiungere una produzione giornaliera di 1800 tonnellate, sarà invece installato ad Agareb, mentre un secondo, con le stesse caratteristiche, nella città di Medenine, sud Tunisia.

Per garantire alla clientela un maggior supporto e velocità negli interventi tecnici e nella fornitura dei ricambi, sono state create delle strutture locali gestite da personale tecnico specializzato.

I progetti realizzati sono frutto della forte struttura industriale Bedeschi, del know–how consolidato e delle competenze ma turate nel settore in oltre 100 anni di storia industriale.

New investments in Algeria

Nuovi investimenti in Algeria In recent years the growth of the Algerian building industry and the sharp rise in demand for bricks have made the country one of the most important markets for heavy clay machinery suppliers.

One of these is the Greek firm Sabo, a company that has been operating in Algeria since 2004 when it secured the first two large contracts, one to build the Sarl GBO Oasis factory in the Toughourt region in the south of the country and the other to remodel BMSD in Saida in western Algeria. These were followed by new projects for Sarl El Barakate, Sobris, Baraki, the Hadjout roof tile factory (still under construction) and Aomar.

The need to guarantee a continuous presence in the country and to respond rapidly to the needs of local producers prompted Sabo to open a branch with highly trained engineers and sales staff close to Algiers airport.

Sabo is currently involved in the construction and remodelling of a number of factories across the country. One of these is the second roof tile production line of BMSD, one of the company’s oldest customers and one of the most important local clay product manufacturers. The project for the line, which is due to start up shortly, maintained the existing kiln but remodelled the old static dryer previously used for brick production.

Sabo has won a number of projects in the Toughourt district 800 km south of Algiers, one of the most important brick manufacturing areas in Algeria.

Negli ultimi anni, lo sviluppo dell’industria edilizia in Algeria e la forte crescita della domanda di mattoni, hanno reso il paese nordafricano uno dei mercati più importanti per i fornitori di impianti per la produzione di laterizi. Tra questi, Sabo, presente in Algeria da dieci anni, più precisamente dal 2004, anno in cui siglò i primi due grandi contratti per la realizzazione della fabbrica Sarl GBO Oasis, nel distretto di Toughourt nel sud del Paese, e per la ristrutturazione della BMSD a Saida, nell’Algeria occidentale. A questi, sono seguiti nuovi progetti, per la Sarl El Barakate, la Sobris, la Baraki, la fabbrica di tegole Hadjout (tuttora in fase di costruzione), la Aomar. La necessità di garantire una presenza continuativa nel Paese e risposte rapide alle richieste dei produttori locali, ha portato all’apertura di una sede Sabo vicino all’aeroporto di Algeri, nella quale opera un qualificato staff tecnico/commerciale.

Attualmente, Sabo è impegnata nella costruzione o ristrutturazione di diverse fabbriche in tutto il Paese. Tra queste, la seconda linea per la produzione di tegole alla BMSD, tra i clienti storici dell’azienda greca, nonché uno dei più importanti produttori locali di laterizi. La linea ha previsto l’utilizzo del forno esistente e la ristrutturazione del vecchio essiccatoio statico, impiegato in passato per la produzione di mattoni; l’avvio della produzione è previsto a breve.

Nel distretto di Toughourt, a 800 km a sud di Algeri e tra i più importanti centri algerini per la produzione di mattoni, Sabo si è aggiudicata diversi progetti. Sono in fase di realizzazione quelli commissionati da Sarl Edhaia (due linee da 800 ton/giorno ciascuna) e da Eurl Briqueterie (due linee da 600 ton/giorno ciascu-

lines each with a capacity of 800 tons/day) and by Eurl Briqueterie (two 600 ton/day lines), which are currently in progress and use the latest technology and automated systems.

Both companies have decided to build two production lines in parallel served by a single clay preparation department.

With two dryers, two kilns and double setting and unsetting machines as well as a shared automatic conveyor line for the kiln cars, the system delivers the capacity and flexibility needed to be able to move the kiln cars and produce a range of different materials. Sarl Edhaia plans to start up the first line during the next few months, after which it will begin work on the foundations, the building and the equipment for the second line.

Conversely, Eurl Briqueterie plans to build the two lines simultaneously, and they are due to start production a few months after those of Edhaia.

In the same area, Sabo has installed a new unsetting machine for strapped pack forming at Ceramique du Sud and is about to install another at the factory of Sarl GBO Oasis.

Another longstanding customer that has once again placed its trust in Sabo is Sarl El Barakate, located near Algiers, where a new 200 ton/day production line is under construction alongside the existing one.

The line is equipped with a rapid dryer, a new kiln, a setting machine, a unsetting machine and an automatic kiln car handling system.

Also in the Algiers area, Sabo has received an order from B.O.S. to build a complete plant with an output of 600 ton/ day. Currently under construction, the plant will use robotic lines, rapid drying technology, a tunnel kiln and a unsetting machine for forming strapped packs with holes.

For Sarl Ettu, located in the Oum El Bouaghi area, Sabo will install a plant with an output of 800 tons/day of perforated bricks where the bricks to be introduced into the dryer are handled using mobile platforms. This kind of automation guarantees the highest finished product quality right from the initial stages of drying.

Last but not least, the Sarl Boumerdes factory in Tiarret will be equipped with a 600 ton/day plant consisting of a rapid dryer, a tunnel kiln and robotic setting and unsetting machines.

Sarl Edhaia prevede di avviare la prima linea nei prossimi mesi, successivamente si inizierà la realizzazione delle fondamenta, la costruzione dell’edificio e delle attrezzature per la seconda linea. Eurl Briqueterie, invece, realizzerà le due linee contemporaneamente, operative pochi mesi dopo quelle di Edhaia.

Nella stessa zona, Sabo ha installato una nuova disimpilatrice per la formazione di pacchi reggiati presso Ceramique du Sud, ed è in procinto di installarne un’altra nello stabilimento di Sarl GBO Oasis.

Un altro cliente storico che si è nuovamente affidato a Sabo è la Sarl El Barakate, situata nei pressi di Algeri, dove è in fase di costruzione una nuova linea produttiva da 200 ton/giorno, da inserire a fianco di quella esistente; la linea è dotata di un essiccatoio rapido, un nuovo forno, impilatrice, disimpilatrice e un sistema per la movimentazione automatica dei carri forno.

Sempre nella zona di Algeri, Sabo ha ricevuto dalla B.O.S. l’incarico di realizzare un impianto completo per la produzione di 600 ton/giorno di materiale.

Attualmente in fase di costruzione, l’impianto adotterà linee robotizzate, tecnologia di essiccazione rapida oltre a un forno a tunnel e a una disimpilatrice per la formazione di pacchi reggiati con fori.

Presso Sarl Ettu, situata nella zona di Oum El Bouaghi, è previsto invece un impianto per la produzione di 800 ton/giorno di mattoni forati, sulla quale la movimentazione dei mattoni da introdurre nell’essiccatoio viene eseguita con ripiani mobili.

Questo tipo di automazione garantisce la migliore qualità del prodotto finale fin dalle prime fasi dell’essiccazione.

Infine, per lo stabilimento di Sarl Boumerdes, a Tiarret, è previsto un impianto da 600 ton/giorno, che sarà dotato di un essiccatoio rapido, un forno a tunnel ed impilatrice e disimpilatrice robotizzate. 

Ceric Technologies opens branch in Algeria

Ceric Technologies apre in Algeria After more than 40 years of close cooperation with Algerian clay brick producers, Ceric Technologies is embarking on a new chapter in its industrial history with the opening of a local branch. Formalities are under way to start up the new facility, which will be located in Algiers and will provide full support for the local industry. This will include rapid provision of spare parts and local production of metallic components (balancelles, pipes, car frames, hooks for kilns, etc.).

The opening of the new branch will be officially announced during the forthcoming Batimatec in Algiers and will create both direct and indirect employment.

Ceric Technologies has had a presence in Algeria since 1971, and in 1979 opened a sales office with a permanent staff of five agents. The company’s expert knowledge of the Algerian market has been recognised by the French government, which invited it to take part in the delegation accompanying the President on his visit to Algeria on 19 and 20 December last year. This included participation in a French-Algerian economic forum attended by Ministers from the two countries and the Minister for the Habitat and Urban Planning, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Thanks to its longstanding operations in Algeria, Ceric has been able to contribute with its expertise to an ambitious project for the construction of energy-efficient homes equipped with all modern comforts. For this purpose, more than ten new brick production lines were recently put into operation or are at the supply stage, bringing the total number of plants supplied to the country to 66 (450 worldwide) with a total capacity of 4.5 million bricks/day. The sector downturn that began in 2008 is continuing in 2012. According to our estimates, there will be a further 1012% contraction this year compared to 2011 (-30% in 2009, -7% in 2010 and -7% in 2011), dropping to the levels of 2006.

The downturn is a result of the lower purchasing power of the population, the precariousness of jobs and difficult access to credit. Another key factor is the political instability that has undermined confidence and blocked investments in new housing in spite of our country’s need for more than 600,000 new homes. Another difficulty for producers is that while the price of utilities (gas and fuel) continues to increase, product prices are falling as a result of aggressive competition. Consequently many small brickworks are being forced to close.

Altra difficoltà per i produttori è che, mentre il prezzo delle utenze (gas e combustibili) continua ad aumentare, quello dei prodotti diminuisce a causa della concorrenza aggressiva: molte piccole fornaci sono infatti costrette a chiudere.

BWR: How are you responding to the situation?

G. Mangalagiu: We’re persevering with our long-term strategies. We are increasingly committed to the search for new products and solutions that meet buyers’ needs. We have an obsessive attention to customers and regularly explore new market segments for penetration.

BWR: How long have you been in business?

G. Mangalagiu: Ceramica Iasi has been producing construction materials for more than 40 years. The company has made a number of investments in plant upgrades. The first was in 2006 with the purchase of a modern production line with a capacity of 350 tons/day. And just three years later, we made a new investment of 30 million euro for a new line to increase production capacity to 1100 tons/day.

Ceramica Iasi stands out for its high quality products and service, including the provision of transport, free consulting, specialist technical documentation and dedicated computer software to calculate product requirements.

BWR: How has Ceramica Iasi performed in recent years?

G. Mangalagiu: In contrast to the sector-wide downturn of 37% by volume and 64% in value between 2008 and 2011, our company reported more than 16 million euro turnover growth in 2001, surpassing the results achieved in 2008. BWR: How did the idea of Brikston come about?

G. Mangalagiu: Brikston, the brand that covers all masonry materials and other clay products produced by Ceramica Iasi, was launched in 2008.

The decision stemmed from the need to convey a new identity to the market and to increase our visibility. Brikston stands for strength and durability.

We combined the terms “brick” and “stone” to express the most important advantage of our bricks, their compressive strength. The production process uses only high-quality materials and the latest technologies.

BWR: Has the new brand required further investments?

G. Mangalagiu: Yes, of course. We built a new production department that has allowed us to extend our reach and operate outside the Moldova region. We have also developed new and improved existing products to meet the needs of consumers. The project involved an investment of more than 20 million euro.

BWR: What does Brikston produce?

G. Mangalagiu: Brikston produces a wide range of masonry bricks and blocks, as well as decorative and finishing products. In 2011 we launched two new ranges: Brikston Klinker (for facades) and Brikston Garden (for gardens).

Also in 2011, we responded to consumer demand by developing a new product called Brac which combines the performance of a masonry block with the characteristic of low weight. Its features include large dimensions, ease of installation and low price.

Brikston offers the widest range of masonry products available in Romania in terms of product type and thicknesses (not just for masonry but also for boundary walls, fireplaces, grills and chimneys).

BWR: Do you use your production capacity to the full?

G. Mangalagiu: Yes, we produce 1,100 tons of products per day. We are the company with the highest output at a single site in the country and the only one not to have closed factories during the winter.

BWR: How are you positioned in your country?

G. Mangalagiu: Our company is one of the leaders in the brick sector in Romania.

In spite of the market downturn, Ceramica Iasi has achieved substantial growth and has risen in the rankings from fifth in 2007 to second in 2010, a position it continues to hold today. This demonstrates that with modern management and good strategic decisions it is possible to expand even in times of crisis.

BWR: Are you able to satisfy domestic brick demand?

G. Mangalagiu: Market analyses tell us that total brick production capacity in Romania is currently much higher than

Abbiamo combinato i termini “brick” (mattone) e “stone” (pietra) per veicolare il più importante vantaggio dei nostri mattoni, ovvero la resistenza alla compressione.

Nel processo di produzione si utilizzano solo materiali di alta qualità assieme alle più moderne tecnologie.

BWR: Il nuovo brand ha comportato ulteriori investimenti?

G. Mangalagiu: Certo! Abbiamo realizzato un nuovo reparto di produzione che ci ha permesso di ampliare il nostro raggio d’azione e di operare al di fuori della regione Moldava. Abbiamo inoltre potuto sviluppare nuovi prodotti per andare incontro alle esigenze dei consumatori e di migliorare gli esistenti. Il progetto ha richiesto un investimento di oltre 20 milioni di euro.

BWR: Cosa produce Brikston?

G. Mangalagiu: Brikston produce una vasta gamma di mattoni e blocchi per muratura, ma anche prodotti decorativi e di finitura.

BWR: Utilizzate al massimo la vostra capacità produttiva?

G. Mangalagiu: Sì, ogni giorno produciamo 1.100 ton di prodotto. Siamo l’azienda che produce di più nel Paese in un unico sito e siamo gli unici a non aver chiuso gli stabilimenti nel periodo invernale.

BWR: Come siete posizionati nel Paese?

G. Mangalagiu: La nostra azienda è tra i protagonisti del mattone nel Paese. Nonostante la contrazione del mercato, Ceramica Iasi ha registrando trend di crescita rilevanti passando dal 5° posto nel 2007 al secondo posto nel 2010 (posizione mantenuta ancor oggi). G. Mangalagiu: We believe that the best technology and equipment on the market is Italian and German. When we upgraded the plant in our factory, it was Italian technology that we felt most confident with and offered the best value for money on the basis of our previous purchases.

BWR: What are your most widely sold products?

G. Mangalagiu: Our most widely used bricks are those for load-bearing masonry walls (thickness 25 or 30: 290x240x188 GV or BKS 25). Both these products have a compressive strength that is twice as high as the values set by current Romanian regulations.

BWR: Do you also have an export market?

G. Mangalagiu: In 2011 we began to expand into the Republic of Moldova and will soon be taking our first steps in Ukraine.

BWR: Are government policies in place to stimulate the country’s economic recovery?

G. Mangalagiu: The difficulties we are currently facing in the construction market are partly due to the political instability. We are awaiting new elections and people have put off investments because they want to see what will happen with the new government.

The state has currently allocated funds to repay its debts to construction sector companies following severe delays in payments. This fresh liquidity will enable companies to regain momentum and begin to invest.

BWR: So what are your expectations for the short to medium term period?

G. Mangalagiu: We are not expecting any radical improvements over the next two years, although we hope that the market will recover by 2015.

BWR: And in the meantime?

G. Mangalagiu: In the meantime we can’t afford to stop.

Given the constant increase in fuel prices, we are looking into the possibility of energy cogeneration.

But we are also considering new investments into a new line for more complex products so that we will be ready to make the most of the market recovery when it comes.

G. Mangalagiu: I mattoni piu utilizzati sono quelli per pareti portanti in muratura (spessore di 25 o 30: 290x240x188 GV o BKS 25); entrambi i prodotti hanno una resistenza alla compressione due volte maggiore rispetto a quanto richiesto dalle attuali normative rumene.

BWR: Avete mercato anche all’estero?

G. Mangalagiu: Nel 2011 abbiamo iniziato l’espansione nella Repubblica Moldava e intendiamo fare presto i primi passi in Ucraina.

BWR: Sono in atto politiche governative per il rilancio dell’economia nel Paese?

G. Mangalagiu: Ciò che dobbiamo affrontare adesso sul mercato delle costruzioni è dovuto in parte all’instabilità politica.

Ci attendono nuove elezioni e la gente ha rinviato gli investimenti perché vuole vedere cosa succederà con il nuovo Governo.

Attualmente lo Stato ha stanziato fondi per sanare i propri debiti nei confronti delle aziende del settore costruzioni, con le quali aveva maturato seri ritardi nei pagamenti.

Incassando liquidità, le imprese potranno riprendere quota e ricominciare a investire.

BWR: Quindi nel breve/medio termine cosa si prevede?

G. Mangalagiu: Non ci aspettiamo miglioramenti radicali nel corso dei prossimi due anni. È auspicabile un rilancio del mercato nel 2015.

BWR: E nel frattempo?

G. Mangalagiu: Nel frattempo non ci possiamo fermare. Sulla base del costante aumento dei prezzi dei combustibili, stiamo analizzando la strada della cogenerazione di energia, ma stiamo pensando anche a nuovi investimenti finalizzati a una nuova linea per prodotti più complessi, in modo che quando il mercato ri prenderà la sua ascesa, noi saremo pronti a cavalcarlo.

Il mercato delle costruzioni in Russia Il settore delle costruzioni rimane uno dei principali volani della ripresa economica in Russia.

Tale ruolo è destinato a rafforzarsi ulteriormente nei prossimi anni grazie agli ingenti investimenti di molti miliardi di rubli stanziati dal Governo russo al fine di modernizzare e ampliare le infrastrutture del Paese.

La tendenza positiva è confermata da un recente rapporto pubblicato dalla PMR Publications e intitolato “Construction sector in Russia 2012 – Development forecasts 2012-2015”, secondo il quale, il già positivo andamento dell’industria delle costruzioni russa negli ultimi anni è destinato a proseguire con ulteriore slancio.

Nel primo bimestre 2012, il valore annuale della produzione edilizia in Russia è cresciuto del 9,2% (grazie anche all’inverno insolitamente mite), per poi attestarsi su un 3,2%. Ciò è stato sicuramente causato dagli effetti dell’inflazione e dalla situazione economica globale che, con l’esplosione della crisi dei debiti sovrani in Europa, ha fatto sentire i suoi effetti negativi anche sul clima degli investimenti immobiliari, comportando il riesame di numerosi progetti: quelli già avviati sono stati portati avanti, ma l’apertura di nuovi cantieri è stata contenuta per numero e dimensioni, causando il rallentamento dell’attività. Nel 1° semestre 2012, in sintesi, sono stati investiti nel settore edile 73.2 miliardi di rubli (2,4 miliardi di dollari / 1,83 miliardi di euro), il 2,6% in meno rispetto al corrispondente periodo del 2011.

Per il 2013, secondo le stime contenute nel citato rapporto della agenzia PMR, si prevede una nuova spinta alla crescita, calcolata attorno al 9% (fig. 1), grazie all’attenuarsi dell’instabilità nell’economia mondiale, ma soprattutto ai finanziamenti statali dedicati, in particolar modo, alle infrastrutture e al settore dell’edilizia residenziale.

The construction industry is still one of the main drivers of the economic upturn in Russia.

This role is set to increase in the years to come, thanks to major investments of many billion roubles set aside by the Russian government for the purpose of extending and modernising the country’s infrastructures.

The positive trend is confirmed by a recent report released by PMR Publications, entitled “Construction sector in Russia 2012 – Development forecasts 2012-2015”, according to which, despite the already positive trend in the Russian construction industry in recent years, growth is expected to accelerate further.

In 2012, after recording growth of 9.2% in the first two months of the year, largely as a result of an unusually warm winter, the value of building production in Russia over the full year rose by a less extravagant 3.2%.

This was undoubtedly caused by the effects of inflation and the global economic situation, which combined the explosion of the sovereign debt crisis in Europe, had severe repercussions on the real estate investment climate too, resulting in the review of numerous projects: those already started were continued, but the number of new buildings coming under construction was limited, both in number and size, and this, in the final analysis, caused the slowdown.

In the first half of 2012, in brief, the construction industry received investments of 73.2 billion roubles (2.4 billion US dollars/1.83 billion euros), representing a drop of 2.6% compared with the same period in 2011.

According to the forecasts published in PMR’s report,

growth will receive a new boost in 2013, amounting to around 9% (fig. 1), thanks to improved stability in the world economy, and more importantly, to the state funding allocated to infrastructure and the residential building sector in particular.

Non-residential building Even in 2012, state funding was a key contributor to the Russian construction industry, and mainly took the form of civil engineering projects supported by the public sector, which accounted for over 50% of the country’s construction output.

The main state-funded programmes include the modernisation of the transport network, the energy industry and social infrastructures; while an additional boost came in the form of the country’s preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympics due to be held in Sochi.

The non-residential construction market is still gathering pace, especially in the real estate fund segment. The largest increase was in the construction of school buildings (+38.9%), followed by commercial projects (+30.1%) and industrial initiatives (+29.8%).

The first half of 2012, furthermore, saw the completion of the two largest investment transactions ever undertaken in Russia, the most important of which was the acquisition of the Galeria shopping mall in St Petersburg for 1.1 billion US dollars (approximately 840 million euros) by Morgan Stanley.

Residential building The residential building segment is also reporting healthy figures. The total area of residential property commissioned in 2011 rose by 6.7% to 62.3 million square metres (fig. 2), which is the second highest figure in the last two decades.

In the first half of 2012, 26.1 million square metres of dwelling homes were completed, representing a rise of 7% on the same period in 2011.

Nella prima metà del 2012 sono state concluse, inoltre, le due più grandi operazioni di investimento mai effettuate in Russia, la più importante delle quali è stata l’acquisizione del centro commerciale Galeria a San Pietroburgo per 1,1 miliardi di dollari (circa 840 milioni di euro) da parte di Morgan Stanley.

Edilizia residenziale Anche il segmento dell’edilizia residenziale sta registrando ottime performance. La superficie complessiva di immobili residenziali commissionati nel 2011 è aumentata del 6,7%, arrivando a 62,3 milioni di mq (fig. 2), la seconda cifra più grande degli ultimi due decenni.

Nel primo semestre del 2012 sono stati completati 26,1 milioni di mq di abitazioni, 7% in più rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2011.

Inoltre, al fine di rispondere alle esigenze della popolazione in termini di miglioramento del tenore di vita, il Governo ha avviato un programma di sostegno all’edilizia residenziale: tale programma, denominato “2011-2015 Housing Programme”, fa seguito al “Housing 2002-2010 project” e prevede un aumento del 50% dei livelli annuali di edilizia residenziale con l’obiettivo di raggiungere, nel 2015, i 90 milioni di mq.

Successivamente, nel 2016, i livelli di edilizia residenziale dovrebbero raggiungere i 100 milioni di mq, e ci si attende un aumento a 140 milioni di mq nel 2020 (circa 1 mq a persona per anno).

has also launched a programme of support for residential construction: this programme, known as the “2011-2015 Housing Programme”, follows on from the “Housing 20022010 Project”, and envisages a 50% increase in annual levels of residential building, with a target of 90 million square metres by 2015.

In 2016, residential building levels should then reach 100 million square metres, and forecasts suggest an increase to some 140 million square metres by 2020 (approximately 1 sq.m per person per year).

The Housing Program generated its first positive results as of its first year, given that 2011 saw an increase of 9.6% in the number of homes completed, for a total of 786,000 units, which is the highest figure since 1989, and even exceeds the record of 768,000 units set in 2008.

Within the residential building sector as a whole, the affordable housing category has seen the highest growth in recent years.

This is chiefly due to the availability of more competitive mortgages, which have enabled low-income families to buy new houses, but also derives from the injection of state funds into residential building. In 2011, the proportion of affordable housing reached 42% of the total area commissioned in the entire year. The proportion of low-rise building also increased, with the result that residential buildings with fewer than three storeys accounted for 51% of total homes built.

Geographical areas An analysis of the construction industry by geographical area shows that Moscow remains well ahead of the field, with market share of 11.4%, followed by the territories of Krasnodar and St Petersburg.

Moscow is a rapidly growing megalopolis, which is spawning an increasing number of business centres, shopping malls and hotel chains.

Some 3.6 million square metres of office space is currently under construction, of which 52% (approximately 1.86 million square metres) have already reached an advanced stage of completion, and completed volumes of office space are forecast to reach 2.5 million square metres in 2013-2014.

According to the Moscow General Plan, 37 million square metres of office space will have been completed by 2025.

First in line are 145 buildings for commercial and government office use, for a total of around 20.9 million square metres.

The government also intends to increase office construction in industrial areas and in locations in the vicinity of the Moscow ring road (known as the MKAD).

The following works were started in 2011: • The Linkor Business Center (63,000 sq.m); • The Diamond Hall Business Center (61,500 sq.m); • The Trio Business Center (37,550 sq.m).

Another major project is the Moscow International Business Centre (also known as Moscow-City), a business district under construction in the Presnenskij area of Moscow (4.5 km from Red Square as the crow flies), which will accommodate business centres, residential apartments and leisure venues. The entire complex occupies 60 hectares of land, and once completed, will accommodate 250,000 to 300,000 people. The majority of the buildings are already in use, but some will be completed in 2013-2014, such as the Evolution Tower (69,000 sq.m), which is due for completion by the end of 2014; the Federation Complex (423,000

La categoria di edifici residenziali che ha visto la maggiore crescita negli ultimi anni è stata quella delle abitazioni di classe economica, grazie soprattutto a mutui più convenienti che hanno permesso a famiglie con reddito modesto di acquistare una nuova casa, ma anche grazie al citato intervento governativo nel mercato delle costruzioni residenziali.

Nel 2011 la quota di abitazioni di classe economica, infatti, è arrivata al 42% del volume complessivo di superfici commissionate nell’intero anno.

Aree geografiche Analizzando il settore edilizio per aree geografiche, si può notare come l’area di Mosca abbia mantenuto il suo primato, con una quota di mercato dell’11,4%, seguita dai territori di Krasnodar e di San Pietroburgo. Mosca è una megalopoli in rapida crescita, sulla cui mappa spunta un numero sempre crescente di business center, centri commerciali e catene alberghiere.

Attualmente sono in cantiere più di 3,6 milioni di mq di spazi per uffici, il 52% dei quali (circa 1,86 milioni di mq) sono già in fase avanzata di costruzione e si prevede che nel 2013-2014 il volume del costruito arriverà a 2,5 milioni di mq. Inoltre il Governo si propone di aumentare la costruzione di uffici nelle aree industriali e in quelle vicine all’Anello Viario Automobilistico di Mosca (il c.d. MKAD).

In just one year, 7.7 million square metres of dwelling homes have been built, the majority of which are low-rise.

In the course of one year, the number of these “villages” has risen by 40%.

One of these is the “New Stupino” satellite town, a major project consisting entirely of low-rise buildings, which range from dwelling homes to social and commercial infrastructures: as well as residential building, the project has seen the construction of nurseries, schools, shops, leisure centres, clinics and hospitals.

Another major project due for completion by late 2013 is “Aristovo-Mitino” (north-east of Moscow, and just 10 km from the MKAD), which is also made up of low-rise build-

I primi lavori sono stati completati nel 2011, ma il programma di costruzione relativo all’edificio principale verrà ultimato nel 2015. Si tratta di un polo scientifico e tecnologico all’avanguardia, sviluppato su 400 ettari, ideato per lo sviluppo e la commercializzazione di nuove tecnologie.

Per quanto riguarda altre zone della Russia, degna di menzione è sicuramente San Pietroburgo, la seconda capitale della Russia, nella cui zona sono in fase di ultimazione 30 business center. In questa regione, nell’arco di 5 anni i volumi edificati sono più che raddoppiati arrivando a oltre 4,5 milioni di mq (nel solo 2010 è stato costruito più di 1 milione di mq di abitazioni).

Molto attiva è anche la capitale degli Urali, Ekaterinburg, dove entro il 2020 saranno costruiti circa 25 grandi hotel; inoltre entro il 2018 (anno in cui la Russia ospiterà i mondiali di calcio) l’amministrazione ha pianificato la costruzione di 7 moderni alberghi, come ad esempio l’hotel Radisson SAS di 250 camere, la cui costruzione è iniziata a fine 2011.

Kurdistan: the new frontier for the brick industry

Kurdistan: nuova frontiera per il laterizio Since the end of the war in December 2011 and the handover of power to the local authorities, Iraq has begun its slow journey towards reconstruction.

The expansion of the economy (GDP up 11% in 2011 and estimated to grow by 14% annually in 2012 and following years) is largely attributable to the resumption of oil production, although several non-oil sectors are also showing growth.

These consist primarily of construction, agriculture and allied activities, including construction materials such as ceramics and cement and food processing and packaging.

The construction industry clearly has very strong growth potential.

The country needs to build millions of new homes (an estimated 2 million homes will be required by 2015 to cope with population growth alone), as well as refurbish existing houses and renew its infrastructures, from water treatment and distribution systems through to transport (roads, airports, railways and ports), public buildings, hospitals and schools.

The budget allocated by the Iraqi government for infrastructures in 2012 amounted to US $15 billion, while the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) estimates that a total investment of $150 billion has been made to date. The main driver of construction industry growth will be residential building, with projects worth $25 billion currently underway and an estimated $100 billion needed to meet overall demand.

The following figures give an idea of the growth potential: • 3.5 million new homes to be built over the next 10 years; • $30 billion to be spent by the government on the residen-

La crescita dell’economia (+11% il PIL nel 2011 e una stima per il 2012 e gli anni successivi al 14%) è in larghissima parte figlia della ripresa della produzione petrolifera, ma sta coinvolgendo anche diversi settori “non oil”, in primis, ovviamente, costruzioni e agricoltura e le attività ad esse correlate, tra cui materiali da costruzione come ceramica e cemento, lavorazioni alimentari e packaging.

Le potenzialità per l’industria delle costruzioni sono evidenti, il paese ha bisogno di costruire milioni di nuove case (2 milioni di unità entro il 2015 sono la stima calcolata sul solo fabbisogno determinato dall’incremento demografico), ristrutturare quelle esistenti, rinnovare tutte le infrastrutture, dal trattamento e distribuzione dell’acqua, ai sistemi di trasporto (strade, aeroporti, ferrovie e porti), all’edilizia pubblica, sanitaria e scolastica.

Per le sole infrastrutture, il budget stanziato dal Governo iracheno nel 2012 è stato di 15 miliardi di dollari, e l’agenzia governativa statunitense per lo sviluppo internazionale USAID (United States Agency for Internatinal Development) stima in 150 miliardi di dollari gli investimenti complessivi effettuati finora.

Parallelamente, l’edilizia residenziale rappresenterà il motore principale della crescita dell’industria delle costruzioni, con un valore dei progetti in corso pari a 25 miliardi di dollari e una stima di 100 miliardi di dollari necessari per soddisfare la domanda complessiva.

The reconstruction process is currently most advanced in the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan, where the local authorities are promoting the construction of residential complexes, schools and hospitals.

In general, most of the projects planned or already in progress will require enormous quantities of construction materials as well as expertise and professionalism in the building materials industry and real-estate sector.

Small private manufacturing firms are starting up production, alongside large state-owned industrial complexes which are receiving funding from the Ministry of the Economy with a view to reducing the country’s current total dependence on imports of industrial goods.

In the building materials sector in particular (cement and ceramics), this mostly involves resuming activities that were brought to a standstill by the war but in which the country already has experience and a manufacturing tradition.

Già stanno emergendo piccole industrie manifatturiere private, a fianco dei più grandi complessi industriali statali che, grazie ai fondi stanziati dal Ministero dell’Economia, stanno riavviando le produzioni con l’obiettivo di ridurre la dipendenza oggi totale dalle importazioni di beni industriali.

Specie nel settore dei materiali per edilizia (cementifici, meccanica e ceramica) si tratta per lo più di un rilancio dell’attività bloccata dalla guerra, ma che può contare su una tradizione manifatturiera e su un’esperienza produttiva già esistenti prima del confitto.

Tecnologia Bongioanni nel Kurdistan iracheno

Bongioanni technology in Iraqi Kurdistan Iraqi Kurdistan, also known as the Autonomous Kurdistan Region, is an autonomous federal entity of Northern Iraq.

The region is largely mountainous with numerous rivers that make it very fertile and attractive for settlement.

The region has attracted billions of dollars of investments in development projects in recent years, particularly in the building sector in response to the strong market demand.

Anyone who submits a feasible project to the government, provided it is approved and is in line with the new law on investments, receives free land for construction.

However, to date only a very small number of projects have been completed.

In view of these benefits, the regional Iraqi private multisector group Halabja Group, based in Sulaymaniyah, Governorate of Sulaymaniyah, has finalised a project in cooperation with Bongioanni Macchine for the construction of a complete plant with a capacity of 1,000 tons of bricks per day with the aim of meeting the high demand in the area.

The Group, led by chairman Aso Mohammed Ali, has branches in Kurdistan and elsewhere in Iraq, including Erbil, Baghdad, Duhok and

This has the added benefit of allowing extrusion and green ware loading to be performed for a short time even if the setting machine has momentarily stopped. It is also possible to operate the setting machine and therefore offload the dried products from cars even if the extruder and the clay preparation line are not operating.

The new dryer car handling system is smoother, reducing the risk of blocks falling and considerably reducing the quantity of rejects. Marcheluzzo also supplied the new twin transfer cars inside the dryer which serve to handle two cars simultaneously and thereby optimise the production cycle.

Numerous solutions have been adopted to make the plant more flexible, starting out with the setting machine zone with the module programming and loading gripper feeding lines. A special rotating roller chain bench allows various types of products to be processed automatically simply by adjusting the system’s electronic programming.

Dedicated solutions ensure the utmost care in handling dried ware so as to optimise the quality of the finished product. Special attention has been devoted to the choice of gripper. The kiln cars are loaded by an 8-head gripper specially designed to set all types of products with different loading requirements.

The existing offloading line for the fired material has been expanded with a new pneumatically operated twin head gripper that avoids all use of hydraulic systems and the need for continuous maintenance.

Marcheluzzo ha fornito anche i nuovi trasbordatori a doppia piazza all’interno dell’essiccatoio, che movimenta contemporaneamente due carrelli, ottimizzando così il ciclo di produzione.

Numerosi gli accorgimenti adottati che hanno reso più flessibile l’impianto a cominciare dalla zona impilamento, dove sono state applicate soluzioni innovative per le linee di programmazione dei moduli e per l’alimentazione alla pinza di carico. Un banco a catene e rulli rotante permette di lavorare automaticamente vari tipi di materiale agendo solamente sulla programmazione elettronica dell’impianto, mentre soluzioni pensate ad hoc assicurano particolare cura nel trattamento del materiale secco riscontrabile sul prodotto finale. Essiccazione ad aria ambiente I considerevoli aumenti dei costi dell’energia da combustibili fossili e la necessità di ridurre le emissioni di CO2, stanno spingendo sempre più l’industria del laterizio verso l’individuazione di misure volte alla riduzione dei costi e all’utilizzo di fonti alternative di energia.

Poiché la maggior parte dei costi di produzione è imputabile alle fasi di essiccazione e cottura, Lingl ha condotto uno studio approfondito sulla fattibilità di un essiccatoio che prevede l’utilizzo dell’aria ambiente, prendendo in esame i parametri climatici dell’Europa Centrale. Ai fini dell’analisi si è fatto riferimento a una fabbrica di mattoni con una produzione giornaliera di 500 tonnellate e un fabbisogno di materie prime nella media. La prima parte dell’essiccatoio è la più adatta per eseguire l’essiccazione ad aria ambiente, senza dover affrontare tempi di essiccazione eccessivamente lunghi: circa il 50% del contenuto di acqua viene infatti emesso proprio in questa zona dallo strato superficiale di umidità degli impasti crudi. Il diagramma in figura 1 riporta l’andamento dell’essiccazione e la curva di Bigot per un dato tipo di argilla. Non appena il contenuto di umidità dell’argilla si riduce del 40-50%, si osserva soltanto un minimo tasso residuo di ritiro, evidenziando la fine della prima fase dell’essiccazione. È preferibile adottare l’essiccazione ad aria ambiente per questo intervallo, mentre la fase successiva dovrebbe avvenire in un essiccatoio tradizionale.

Due to substantial increases in the cost of fossil-fuel energy and the necessity of reducing CO2 emissions, cost-cutting measures and alternative sources of energy for production processes are becoming more and more important in the heavy clay industry.

Since most of the overall cost of ceramic production goes for drying and firing the products, Lingl has investigated the potential feasibility of ambient-air drying in Central Europe.

To investigate the potential feasibility of such a dryer, the following discourse presumes, as an example, a brick factory with a daily output of 500 tons and “average” material requirements. Assuming that approximately 50% of the water content is given off in the first section of the dryer, where the green bodies always have a surface layer of moisture, then this zone is the most suitable for ambient-air drying – without having to accept disproportionately long drying times. The diagram in Fig. 1 represents the course of drying and the Bigot curve of a type of clay. As soon as the clay’s moisture content has declined by 40-50%, only a minor residual rate of shrinkage is observed; this roughly marks the end of the

The subject approach favours ambient-air drying for this range, while the rest of the drying process should take place in a conventional dryer. For an approximative analysis of the drying process and the requisite volumes of air, an ambient temperature of 15 °C and a saturation of 50 % r.h. are assumed. When cooled to the cooling limit of 9.6 °C and with 100 % r.h., each kilogram of this air can contain as much as approx. 2,2 g H2O. For a postulated post-extrusion moisture content of 24% and 5% loss on ignition, the average mass flows for a 500 t/d brick factory in which 50% of the moisture content is expelled would read as follows: 500 t/d / 24 h = 20833 kg/h fired Including loss on ignition: 20833 x 1.05 = 21875 kg/h dry.

Poiché nella pratica non si arriva mai al 100% di saturazione, il fabbisogno reale d’aria ammonterebbe a circa 1,5-1,7 milioni di m³/h per arrivare al 70-80% dell’assorbimento massimo possibile dell’acqua. Vista la bassa quantità di acqua assorbita, non è necessario adottare la circolazione forzata dell’aria. Il movimento richiesto dell’aria può essere ottenuto utilizzando ventilatori elicoidali a bassa compressione come quelli impiegati nell’essiccatoio Lingl-Choritherm a flusso uniforme presentato di seguito. Per una potenza richiesta ipotizzata di circa 7,5 kW/200.000 m³/h, l’essiccatoio con preriscaldamento ad aria ambiente richiederebbe una potenza in ingresso di 56 kW. Un essiccatoio moderno di tipo tradizionale, dotato di ventilatore rotante, assorbe circa 90 kW per arrivare alla capacità circolatoria necessaria ad ottenere l’espulsione di circa il 50% dell’acqua. For a postulated power requirement of approx. 7.5 kW/200,000 m³/h, the ambient-air preheating dryer would require 56 kW input power.

ct./kWh, that figures to € 106 a day and € 21,216 per year (200-day annual operating time).

Now, let us take a look at how much thermal energy is required. With a modern conventional dryer, this drying task would consume approx. 3,765 kJ/kgH2O thermal energy, corresponding to 474.4 kJ/kgfired per kg of fired product.

Extrapolated for the assumed daily output, this makes 500,000 kg/d x 474.4 kJ/kg = 237.2 GJ = 65,888 kW. Assuming that natural gas costs roughly 3 ct./kWh, an ambientair dryer would save the company nearly 2,000 €/d or, for the 200 d/a annual operating time, approximately 400,000 € per year.

Since the prevailing climate in Central Europe prevents complete ambient-air drying, it is proposed here that such a system be combined with a conventional dryer. This way, the entire production output could be dried in the conventional manner in case of unsuitable climatic conditions.

Poiché il clima dell’Europa Centrale impedisce l’essiccazione completa ad aria ambiente, tale sistema va comunque combinato con un essiccatoio tradizionale, che verrebbe adottato per un’essiccazione di tipo convenzionale in caso di condizioni climatiche non idonee.

Studies to date indicate that complete ambient-air drying requires approximately twice as much time as conventional convective thermal-booster heating. Consequently, if a conventional dryer with a postulated drying time of 24 h is fitted with a Choritherm predrying stage, the effective total drying time will figure to 12 h x 2 = 24 h for the Choritherm stage, plus 12-13 h for conventional final drying. In other words, the overall drying time would be extended by some 12 h. In any case, it is advisable to lay out the ambient-air drying stage in a way that the drying cycle covers one full (24 h) day, because that ensures that all products to be dried will go through the same sequence of more intensive daytime drying and less effective nighttime drying. If the complete drying cycle were to be kept any shorter, the production process would involve varying degrees of drying. Fig. 2 illustrates the day-curve progress of drying in an experimental dryer.

Conspicuously, temperatures above 15°C and ambientair humidity levels below 65% r.h. promote relatively rapid drying. During the nighttime hours (between the 6th and 14th hours in the diagram), drying proceeds very slowly at a very low temperature level around 5°C. Nevertheless, 50% dryness was still achieved within a time span of 20 hours.

Una scelta opportuna del percorso dei carri essiccatoio permette un’essiccazione iniziale uniforme dell’impasto crudo attraverso lo sfruttamento nettamente superiore della capacità di assorbimento dell’acqua da parte dell’aria ambiente. Sia la densità di impilaggio che la configurazione di carico dei carri devono essere adattati a questo tipo di essiccazione. Per le fabbriche dell’Europa Occidentale, che producono una vasta gamma di prodotti diversi, la configurazione di carico dovrebbe comprendere modifiche adeguate del piano e posizioni variabili di impilaggio sui supporti di essiccazione. A differenza dell’essiccazione esclusivamente ad aria ambiente, questo approccio può essere basato su un sistema esistente di energia combinata tra forno a tunnel ed essiccatoio. L’essiccazione finale del prodotto avviene in una seconda sezione in grado di utilizzare l’aria esausta calda proveniente da un forno che non è stato progettato per il funzionamento autonomo. La progettazione di base di un essiccatoio a preriscaldamento con aria ambiente è molto semplice. Poiché l’essiccatoio funziona alla stessa temperatura dell’ambiente circostante, non ha bisogno di isolamento termico e quindi consiste in una struttura semplice per incanalare l’aria insieme a sistemi di impermeabilizzazione e una tecnologia adeguata di trasporto per i prodotti da essiccare.

Ipotizzando condizioni locali idonee, gli impianti esistenti possono essere adattati tramite l’installazione di una fase di pre-essiccazione ad aria ambiente, mentre la parte tradizionale del sistema di essiccazione è già montata. Tuttavia, per i nuovi progetti, la scelta ottimale è quella di abbinare un essiccatoio ad aria ambiente tipo Choritherm a un essiccatoio rapido.

Fig. 4 presents a design variant of the Lingl Choritherm dryer with a dryer-car geometry that combines ideally with an even-flow rapid dryer.

Appropriate dryer-car routing makes for uniform initial drying of the green bodies through markedly superior exploitation of the water-absorption capacity of the ambient air. Both the setting density and the car-loading configuration have to be accordingly adapted to this type of drying. For West European factories and their myriad different products, the load configuration should include appropriate deck modifications and variable setting positions on the drying supports.

The dryer cars are routed such that they first pass along the exhaust end at dryer entrance. Hence, the cars on the ambient-air end have already achieved an advanced stage of drying and therefore give off less water to their surroundings. As a result, the exhaust air has a nearly constant saturation level along the entire length of the dryer, so the green bodies experience controlled, gentle drying up to as high a level as possible.

Unlike drying exclusively with ambient air, this approach can be based on an existing combined energy system between tunnel kiln and dryer following appropriate optimization. Final drying of the product takes place in a second drying section that can make use of hot exhaust from a kiln that has not been designed for autonomous operation. The basic design of an ambient-air preheating dryer is very uncomplicated.

CERIC In the presence of more than 100 guests, including the Secretary General of the Sub-Prefecture, the Mayor of Soissons and the President of the Communauté d’Agglomération du Soissonnais, Ceric Technologies unveiled its Pelerin 730 ER MRP 12-25 latest-generation extruder last October following around 18 months of development efforts.

The opening ceremony, held at the company’s headquarters in Soisson, also provided an opportunity to present a selection of the items in the PELERIN® range that have recently been developed by the research and production departments. These include the primary crushers, extruders, steel distributor boxes (or rubber belt distributors) and bucket excavators. The entire range of innovative PELERIN® extruders is available as of this year.

The new machine designed for a project in Algeria consists of a horizontal mixer and extruder with a weight of 40 tons and featuring numerous innovations. The diameter of the mixer outfeed auger has been increased to 550 mm so as to guarantee a clay feed rate in line with the capacity of the extruder (maximum speed 100 t/h).

The extruder allows the raw material to be introduced directly into the infeed tank under pressure, so it adapts to any type of clay. The volume of the vacuum cham-

ber for de-airing the mix is also 40% larger than on previous models.

Performance and reliability have been improved and the crushers re-engineered with a new spiral geometry that prevents large lumps from adversely affecting machine operation during the preliminary phases.

The excavators have also been remodelled to adapt to the new generation of factories. The current trend is towards the construction of large factories requiring large storage systems to increase their independent operating time.

While visiting the laboratory at the Soissons factory, participants had a chance to get a close-up view of the work carried out on a series of spare parts. Ceric Technologies has considerably improved customer service and now offers overhaul and preventive maintenance services for both combustion systems and clay preparation plants.

Tra questi i frantoi primari, estrusori, cassoni distributori in acciaio (o distributori a nastro in gomma) ed escavatori a tazze. L’intera gamma di estrusori innovativi PELERIN® è disponibile a partire da quest’anno.

Il nuovo estrusore, destinato ad un progetto in Algeria, è costituito da un miscelatore orizzontale e un estrusore, pesa 40 tonnellate e presenta molteplici innovazioni.

miscelatore è stato aumentato a 550 mm in modo da garantire una velocità di alimentazione dell’argilla in linea con la portata dell’estrusore (velocità massima di 100 t/h). L’estrusore permette di introdurre la materia prima direttamente nella vasca d’ingresso sotto pressione, adattandosi quindi a ogni tipo di argilla. Il volume della camera a vuoto per la disaerazione dell’impasto, inoltre, è più grande del 40% rispetto ai modelli precedenti.

Sono state migliorate le prestazioni, l’affidabilità e riprogettate le sminuzzatrici con una nuova geometria a spirale che impedisce ai grumi di grandi dimensioni di incidere negativamente sul funzionamento delle macchine durante le fasi preliminari.

Anche gli escavatori sono stati rimodellati per adattarsi alla nuova generazione degli stabilimenti. La tendenza attuale, infatti, va verso la costruzione di grandi fabbriche che richiedono sistemi di stoccaggio di grandi dimensioni per aumentarne l’autonomia.

Durante la visita al laboratorio dello stabilimento di Soissons i visitatori hanno potuto toccare con mano il lavoro svolto su una serie di pezzi di ricambio.

Recently previewed at the latest edition of Tecnargilla, the innovative HRT production line offers a valid alternative to traditional tunnel kiln technology. Breaking away from trends in the roof tile industry in recent years (optimisation of traditional tunnel kilns and the introduction of kiln car loading/unloading robots), Sacmi now offers a revolutionary technology that successfully overcomes the most critical aspects of the system and optimises production costs. New self-recovery EKO burners and a system of specially engineered refractory supports constitute the heart of this new on-roller HRT firing system with H-supports. Outstanding firing technology has been combined with the Group’s experience in fast drying on multi-level roller systems. The result is a roof tile production line that allows producers to achieve outstanding levels of efficiency even on small plants.

One of its most interesting features is the reduction in cycle times, just 3-4 hours for the drying phase and 4-5 hours for firing. In terms of output quality, the advantages of the HRT system include improved size tolerance and more effective colour control. It also brings considerable benefits in terms of energy savings and environmental-friendliness: just 2.7 kg of CO2 per fired kg, with energy consumption dropping to just 560-580 kcal per kg of fired product and 860-900 kcal per kg of

evaporated water. Flexibility is also an essential feature of the line and is guaranteed by rapid system start-up solutions and a design that reduces line space requirements by up to 40%. The absence of kiln cars from the production cycle eliminates the corresponding maintenance costs and the downtimes associated with support breakage.

And because foundation works are no longer required, installation is simpler and the plant can be assembled more quickly.

Il merito è dell’innovativa linea di produzione HRT, presentata in anteprima all’ultima edizione di Tecnargilla, che propone una valida alternativa alla tradizionale tecnologia dei forni a tunnel.

Contrariamente a quanto realizzato nel settore tegole negli ultimi anni (ottimizzazione dei forni a tunnel convenzionali e introdu-

zione di robot per il carico e lo scarico dei carri), Sacmi mette in campo ora una vera e propria rivoluzione tecnologica” che supera con successo gli aspetti di maggiore criticità del sistema, ottimizzando i costi di produzione.

Cuore del sistema HRT per la cottura su cassette ad H in forno a rulli, sono i bruciatori auto-recuperativi EKO e il sistema di supporti refrattari ad H appositamente ingegnerizzati. La tecnologia di cottura è combinata con l’esperienza del Gruppo nell’essiccazione rapida su rulli multipiano: il risultato è una linea di produzione di tegole che permette di raggiungere lo stesso livello di efficienza anche nel caso di impianti di dimensioni ridotte. Spicca, in modo particolare, la riduzione dei tempi ciclo: solo 3-4 ore per la fase di essiccazione e 4-5 per la cottura. Tra i vantaggi rispetto alla qualità dell’output, HRT permette una migliore tolleranza dimensionale e la possibilità di controllare in modo più efficiente la tonalità del manufatto, mentre notevoli sono i plus in termini di risparmio sui costi energetici ed ambientali: solo 2,7 kg di CO2 per ogni kg di cotto, mentre i consumi scendono ad appena 560-580 kcal ogni Kg di prodotto cotto e 860900 kcal per ogni kg di acqua evaporata. La flessibilità è garantita grazie a soluzioni per il rapido avviamento del sistema e ad accorgimenti per ridurre fino al 40% lo spazio occupato dalla linea produttiva. La stessa assenza del carro forno nel ciclo produttivo, poi, elimina costi di manutenzione e fermi linea dovuti a guasti nelle cassette, mentre l’assenza di fondamenta rende più semplice e meno costosa l’installazione e più veloce l’assemblaggio dell’impianto.

products prodotti TECNOFILIERE To meet the needs of customers using highly abrasive clays, Tecnofiliere recently proposed a sandwich type core construction system. This solution allows for a cheaper product without sacrificing the high wear resistance typical of the type of sintered materials used. Only the central 10 mm section of the core consists of hard metal (the most expensive part of this type of application).

The part below is made from sintered alumina, a much less expensive material. This still guarantees the durability of the cores and the final brick geometry as the terminal section is made of special hard metal with wear resistance of almost 2000 HV. Once worn, the lower alumina section can be replaced at any time with spare parts made of the same or

different materials according to the solution chosen by the customer in collaboration with Tecnofiliere.

Tecnofiliere, per far fronte alle esigenze dei clienti che utilizzano argille altamente abrasive, ha recentemente proposto un sistema di costruzione per tasselli a “sandwich”. La soluzione permette di avere un prodotto più economico, senza rinunciare all’elevata resistenza all’usura garantita dal tipo di materiali

Il tassello è infatti composto da metallo duro (la parte più costosa di questo tipo di applicazione), solo per la parte centrale da 10 mm; la parte sottostante viene invece realizzata con sinterizzati di alumina, il cui costo è notevolmente inferiore. In questo modo viene comunque garantita la durata del tasselli e della geometria finale del mattone in quanto la parte terminale viene costruita in metallo duro speciale che ha una resistenza all’usura di quasi 2000 HV. La parte sottostante in alumina, una volta consumata, può essere in qualsiasi momento sostituita dai ricambi nel medesimo materiale o in materiali diversi, a seconda delle soluzioni studiate da Tecnofiliere insieme al cliente.

The first machine, called Flexcut, stands out for its flexibility and versatility. Flexcut can be used to produce a wide range of products such as solid and perforated bricks, roof tiles, steps, pavers and facades. It can also be used with a column cutting function for a subsequent multi-wire cutting machine. All components of Flexcut are built using machine tools, allowing for an extremely rigid structure that guarantees excellent results in terms of operating precision and finished product quality. The automatic cleaning, tensioning and broken wire control capability, the millimetric adjustment of all parts and the use of electronic control components are further factors that help make this a highly competitive machine with low overall costs, including those of management.

La capacità di effettuare in automatico la pulizia, il tensionamento e il controllo del filo rotto, così come la regolazione millimetrica di tutte le parti e l’impiego di componenti elettronici di controllo di tutti gli organi, completano il quadro generale di una macchina altamente competitiva, dai costi generali ridotti, compresi quelli di gestione. Inoltre, la possibilità di cambiare formato rapidamente, l’assenza di vibrazioni, la precisione nel taglio, l’efficienza meccanica e la manutenzione ridotta, fanno di questa macchina un vanto speciale per i tecnici Cismac e sicuramente un nuovo punto di riferimento.
