Protein:

Group terms for proteins. (poultry by-products, meat- and bone meal, etc.) – this could be anything Low value protein sources (vegetable by-products, soy, maize gluten meal, wheat gluten).

Specified proteins (chicken, lamb, beef, herring, salmon, etc.) Concentrated proteins (specifically) from meat and fish (dehydrated lamb, -chicken or -herring).

Grains and vegetables: Whole grains (Rice, barley, etc.) Fruits and vegetables (potatoes, carrots, peas, tomatoes, alfalfa, apples, etc.)

Grain based by-products and flour from parts of grains (wheat bran, maize gluten meal).

Fats and oils: Specified fats (chicken fat, lamb fat, salmon oil, sunflower oil, herring oil, etc.) Natural preservatives (mix of tocopherol, vit. E, vit. C).

Group terms for fats (animal fat, vegetal fat, etc.) - this could be anything Artificial preservatives (BHA, BHT, ethoxyquin).

That is why! In Natural Health Pure & Simple we only use: ONE SOURCE OF PROTEIN: Dehydrated lamb, fish or chicken, containing low levels of ash, so without feathers or wool and with very little bone. Only carefully selected lamb/chicken/fish is used.

Let’s do the maths: Dehydrated lamb contains 8% liquids and lamb meat contains nearly 85%. When you dehydrate 2kg of lamb meat you are left with 320gr dehydrated lamb. 1kg of Natural Health adult dog contains 300gr of dehydrated lamb, which means it is made out of nearly 2kg of lamb meat!

ONE SOURCE OF CARBOHYDRATE: Rice (both white and brown). By using brown rice also, we provide a good intestinal function, which helps a better digestion. TWO SOURCES OF FAT: Sunflower oil as a main source and linseed-/ salmon oil or chicken fat as secondary source. This makes sure we get the right balance between Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. It’s not just the amount that counts, but the balance between the two as well.
