The Photo Association of Serbia (PAS) was founded in 1946. as a public organization. PAS is an independent, non– governmental, non–partisan organization, which pools organizations associating photographers, as well as individually subscribed photographers, amateurs and professionals for the purpose of organized and professional pursuit of common interests in the art of photography.

FIAP Best Author Andrey Smolnikov (Russia) Andrei Smolnikov was born on October 15, 1971. He lives in Stavropol, Russian Federation.

I have been working as a photographer for 19 years and before that, I served in the Air Force of the Army of the Russian Federation. I am a member of the Union of Photographers of Russia, an artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art A-FIAP. I am a multiple winner in international and Russian photography competitions.

Prizes - 9 FIAP GOLD medals, 2 FIAP SILVER medals, 10 DOG GOLD medals and many other medals. I really like to travel around the North Caucasus; these are republics such as Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Ingushetia and Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria and Adygea, North Ossetia. I take photos about people’s lives, their culture and customs. I try to convey all this with my photos. For more than a year, I dedicated myself to a big project, took photos of World War II veterans who are still alive. I managed to photograph more than 20 people, including a woman who was in a concentration camp as a seventeen-year-old. She survived Dachau and Auschwitz. Photography is a way of life for me. I can’t live without photography. I tell others, “Take my camera and I’ll die”.

I consider myself an amateur photographer because I do it with love.

Smolnikov Andrei je rođen 15. oktobra 1971. godine. Živi u gradu Stavropolu, Ruska Federacija.

Već 19 godina radim kao fotograf, a pre toga služio sam u vojsci u vazduhoplovstvu Vojske Ruske Federacije. Član sam Saveza fotografa Rusije, umetnik Međunarodne federacije fotografske umetnosti A-FIAP. Višestruki sam pobednik u međunarodnim i ruskim fotografskim konkursima. Nagrade - 9 FIAP ZLATNIH medalja, 2 FIAP SREBRNE medalje, 10 PSA ZLATNIH medalja i mnogih drugih medalja. Zaista volim putovati po Severnom Кavkazu; to su republike kao što su Dagestan, Кarachai-Cherkessia, Ingushetia i Čečenija, Кabardino-Balkaria i Adigea, Severna Osetija. Fotografišem o životu ljudi, njihovoj kulturi i običajima. Svojim fotografijama pokušavam da prenesem sve ovo. Više od godinu dana posvetio sam se velikom projektu, fotografisao veterane Drugog svetskog rata koji su još živi. Uspeo sam da fotografišem više od 20 ljudi, među kojima i ženu koja je kao sedamnaestogodišnjakinja bila u koncentracionom logoru. Preživela je Dahau i Aušvic. Fotografija je za mene način života. Ne mogu da živim bez fotografije. Кažem drugima: “Uzmi moju kameru i ja ću umreti” Smatram se fotografom amaterom jer to radim s ljubavlju.
