DEMOCRATIC CHAIR

To see the chair as a combination of different components, we consider it a metaphor for democracy. Each component represents a unique individual in the society.

To establish true democracy, some need to sacrifice. The parts that were taken away represents sacrifices to maintain the integrity.

To start from the question about how people decide their destination nowadays, I found out that most people use goole map or social media to decide their destinations.

A unique guest house in Kortrijk for both visitors and locals to re-interpret the city.

It offers the city exciting possibilities with nice public spaces along the river and bridges.

TOPICALITY x URBANISM Can social media be a tool to introduce a place?

I tried to understand which moments are worth to be recorded and how these moments build an invaluable experience of the city.

RELOCATE

My main idea is to relocate the original architectural elements to the city, and to reuse them by performing different functions.

Also, the blanks in the site arouse curiosities from visitors which encourage interactions between the city and the site.

My intention was to look at the relationship between print and digitalization.
