"Savoir: extraordinary beds."

The Project proposes an experiential showroom for the luxury mattress brand ‘Savoir’. The building will provide a place for clients to stay overnight and experience the quality of the Savoir mattress prior to purchase.

As the main activity inside the building is sleeping the usual preoccupation with daylight is replaced with an interest in darkness.

"Colours in here are the materials."

A basic palette of concrete, timber, translucent glass and leather was chosen to ensure a pure background for the relatively maximal pruducts.

I was facinated by how materials react with each other under different circumstances. The material itself tells a story.

Container | Timber The supporting structure acts like a bay to accomodate timber compositions for both the ceiling and the flooring.

Balustrade | Artistic Leather The spray-paint leather provides exquisite textures for the balustrade, where the intangible craftsmanship is shown .
