‘n Warm woord van welkom aan al die besoekers by 2016 se Interskole. ‘n Spesiale woord van welkom aan Dr. Van der Voort en die personeel van Hoërskool HottentotsHolland. Dit is vir Hoërskool Strand ‘n voorreg om as gasheer vir ons bure op te tree. Baie ure is op die sportveld deurgebring en ons bedank ons afrigters en leerders hiervoor. Ons vertrou dat u die vrugte van die arbeid sal oes. Almal kan ongelukkig nie wen nie en daarom wil ons in die gees van Interskole aan ons deelnemers sê: Wees nederig as jy wen en wees ‘n waardige verloorder as die telbord teen jou is. Ons is diep dankbaar teenoor ons borge wat hierdie dag vir ons moontlik maak. Dankie dat ons altyd op julle kan steun en dat julle ons skole se belange op die hart dra. Geniet die dag saam met ons! Augustus 2016 – die 41ste interskolebyeenkoms wat tussen Hoërskool Strand en Hoërskool Hottentots-Holland plaasvind. Gedurende die afgelope maande het beide skole tydens oefeninge en wedstryde hulself geslyp en voorberei vir wat in hierdie week sal gebeur, hoe die spel gespeel sal word en wat die finale uitslag sal wees. I trust that this event will be characterised by mutual respect, the will to play with integrity, commitment to making every minute count and playing our utmost best till the moment when the game ends. In this way true sportsmanship will prevail and be the ultimate winner of each match. May the learners from both schools enjoy their matches and cherish wonderful memories of this event, especially our Grade 12 learners. Dit is vir my baie aangenaam om Mnr. Malan, skoolhoof van Hoërskool Strand, by sy eerste interskolebyeenkoms te verwelkom. Mag hierdie 41ste byeenkoms vir hom deur die jare wat kom, mooi en aangename herinneringe inhou.
