For more than 70 years, Tidelands Health has proudly cared for our community. We are our region’s largest and most comprehensive provider of medical care with four hospitals and more than 60 care locations stretching from Andrews to North Myrtle Beach. As our region’s MUSC Health affiliate, Tidelands Health provides seamless access to a broad continuum of high-quality care including wellness services, primary and specialty care, rehabilitation services and post-acute care. Established by a small group of citizens in the 1940s, our local roots run deep. We are led by a volunteer board of trustees and, as a not-for-profit organization, we don’t have stockholders. Every dollar generated through the services we provide is reinvested right back into our health system and region.

Tidelands Health serves the Carolinas at four hospitals and more than 60 outpatient locations. Facilities include Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and two locations of Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health; Tidelands Health Group, our network of patient-centered primary and specialty care physicians; numerous Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Services locations; Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network, our region’s most
comprehensive provider of cancer care; Tidelands Health Imaging Network, our region’s most comprehensive imaging provider; and Tidelands Community Care Network. In addition, Tidelands Health is affiliated with nine Doctors Care urgent-care centers across the region. And we are the exclusive health system partner of YMCA of Coastal Carolina, with three regional locations – Tidelands Health Pawleys Family YMCA, Tidelands Health Georgetown Family YMCA and Claire Chapin Epps Family YMCA – serving the Grand Strand.

As our region’s largest health care provider, Tidelands Health continues to grow with our community — providing access to high-quality, compassionate health care just as we’ve done for more than 70 years. HERE’S A LOOK AT SOME OF OUR RECENT AND FUTURE PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES: • Tidelands Health Carolina Bays Hospital, to be located at the interchange of Highways 31 and 707 in south Horry County, is a 36-bed hospital that will offer an emergency department, medical, surgical and critical care, four operating suites, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and more. • Tidelands Health Extended Care Hospital is a 24-bed long-term acute care hospital to be located within Tidelands Health Carolina Bays Hospital. • Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, is a 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital that, like Tidelands Health Extended Care Hospital, will be located within Tidelands Health Carolina Bays Hospital. Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital at Little River, an affiliate of Encompass Health, opened in 2019 to bring inpatient rehabilitation services to the northern portion of Horry County.
Tidelands Health Medical Park at The Market Common, which opened in 2019, is home to physician offices, laboratory, rehabilitation and imaging services and an ambulatory surgery center.
