Prologue
Architecture transcends the act of creating physical structures; it serves as a delicate bridge that intertwines human emotions, social connections, and the fabric of shared spaces. In this portfolio, I invite you to explore the evolution of my perspective—from a focus on the individuality of architectural design to a deeper understanding of its profound dialogue with the city. This dialogue not only shapes but is shaped by urban rhythms, revealing how architecture carries the collective memory and sense of belonging within the urban landscape.

Individual Project
Urban life is increasingly fast-paced, with people’s lives moving almost without pause, leaving little room for peace of mind. This project is dedicated to creating a center that combines meditation and rock climbing, combined with a beautiful natural landscape that changes from step to step, where spirituality and nature are combined while finding spiritual peace in the midst of movement.

Concept
Rock Climbing
Climbing is a sport for the challenged, finding fulfilment in pushing yourself and is good for human health.
Meditation
Meditation can make a person's mental world more stable and self-consistent, reducing the risk of mental illness.
Dover Nature
The White Cliffs of Dover are iconic chalk cliffs along England's southeast coast, symbolizing natural beauty and a historic gateway to the country.
General Functional Zoning Concept

Combine
Combining rock climbing with meditation can allow the body to continuously release endorphins and serotonin during transitions, bringing true peace to the mind.
The philosophy of 'Dao' emphasizes harmony through the balance of movement and stillness, where natural motion and silent meditation unify thought and action. These two distinct movements affect the division of space.

Site Texture
The site's neighbourhood is rich in natural landscapes and was designed to take advantage of their natural distribution.
Functional Layout
The arrangement of natural scenery enhances movement or meditation, achieving a "changing views with each step" effect, and thus serves as a basis for functional spatial organization.

The atrium is introduced to the natural cover and is supported by the Tallest climbing wall. The low to high climbing wall not only differentiates the difficulty level of climbing, but also brings nature into the room.
The space is divided by climbing walls into climbing (dynamic) and meditation (static) zones, each with its own circulation path and corresponding, suitable views. The dynamic zone features a distinct vertical circulation flow, allowing climbers to access different rooms from top to bottom through climbing.

The large climbing wall runs across all three floors of the building and faces the large floor-to-ceiling glass. There is a staggered treatment of the floor heights to allow the room to travel through the climbing area in the center.

Individual Project
To revitalize Dessau, an industrial city facing population decline, the Dessau government introduced a "Red Ribbon" strategy, strategically combining renewal and preservation. The Triadic Pavilion is located on one of the designated sites. This Pavilion not only attracts tourists due to its Bauhaus heritage but also enhances the daily lives of local residents by providing opportunities for learning and employment.
Dessau Urban Regeneration Plan
2 Triadic Pavilion
Faced with a declining population and deteriorating industrial buildings, planners developed a renewal strategy called "City Islands: Urban Cores and Landscape Zone." Through negotiations with banks holding foreclosed properties and land swaps with owners, the city obtained decaying structures for demolition.
Dessau Mapping
The Red Line (Roter Faden) runs through the green belt, offering a 2.5-meter-wide pedestrian and cycling path with interpretive signs on Dessau's heritage.

The Urban Revival of Dessau
A cultural pavilion that will serve both residents and tourists, balancing visitor needs with local living, and genuinely improving the community. It boosts tourism while supporting local industries.
Demands of Residents and Tourists
The pavilion serves both tourists and locals, with differing frequencies of use between the two groups.
Program
Tourists are mostly concentrated in the northern and eastern parts of the site, while residents are scattered throughout the site, with a higher density in the southwest.

area in the public space is veiled with mesh, where dancers occasionally move in harmony with the wind and the flowing drapery. Adjacent to a café and a shop, passersby are welcome to pause and watch at any time.
Beneath the greenery of the atrium, dancers perform impromptu, their movements blending with the natural setting. Visitors on the spiraling ramp pause to admire the scene from varied perspectives.
Natural light streams down from the high skylight, bathing the entire exhibition space in a soft, ethereal glow. The gentle illumination brings warmth and clarity, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
Gauze curtains, delicate and translucent, drape elegantly over the grand staircase, their soft folds catching the light. Visitors move through dynamic projections.

The proposed transformation strategies for Cairo's Zabaleen community aim to address its unique garbage recycling system and pressing urban challenges. While the community depends on recycling for livelihood, its overcrowded streets and the intermingling of waste with living spaces result in poor living conditions. By introducing a layered traffic design, the project optimizes waste circulation and spatial efficiency. The main and secondary streets are restructured: pedestrian pathways are elevated, a central garbage conveyor belt is introduced, and a lowerlevel vehicle passage separates waste handling from daily life.

MACRO BLOCK DESIGN STRATEGY
The garbage used to be stored in various places inside the house. The garbage is now stored on the ground floor along the main street.
The roads used to be used by garbage trucks for transportation. The garbage is now transported from the main street to the houses and factories through a conveyor belt.
The ground floors of the buildings along the street used to be shops. The shops are moved to the second floor and are connected by external corridors.
The open spaces on the ground used to be piled with garbage. The spaces near the street are chosen for public spaces, while the others are used for cultural exhibition spaces.
The rooftops that used to be piled with garbage. The rooftops are now transformed into public spaces, with all public spaces connected by corridors.
The factories that used to be on the site. The buildings are now transformed into schools and hospitals.

The "Culture House" will serve as a haven for escape, imagination, and community connection. Traditionally, opera houses, theatres, and concert halls stood as symbols of cultural and civic pride, shaping the identity of their cities. This project aims to challenge perceptions of the North as a cultural void and dispel the notion that heritage and progress are incompatible. Through the design of a new opera house, theatre, or concert hall, it will play a pivotal role in the regeneration of Liverpool's docks.

Ships were vital to Liverpool's growth, transforming it into a global port city. The maritime industry facilitated international trade, especially during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Amid the widespread commercialization of ancient towns to attract tourists, a pressing question arises: how can Shaxi be restored to its original ecological state without compromising its historic settlement? Through the eyes of a local Miao girl, we created a video that explores the passage of time, the fading of traditions, and the promise of new beginnings.

In this project, we explored how to deeply understand the characters and transform their images into a traditional costume, the Suzhou Water Sleeve, and worked in teams to enact the entire narrative: a lone silversmith travelling north from southern China, searching for dead family members in love, meeting fellow travellers with different stories, and finally arriving in the Western Regions to find the truth.
