Surrounded by forests, meadows, and nature, THUN‘s offices and production facilities are located right by the river in a natural reserve belonging to the town of Ennepetal in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Here, a team consisting of roughly 50 skilled employees handles the production of up to several ten thousand bicycle components per day. The company has been run as a family business since its foundation in 1919. Everyday business is strictly process and KPI driven with the entire production being managed with lean concepts and tools and advanced MES software. Cutting-edge technology and powerful validation methods like optical and sensory 3D measurement are used to guarantee the quality of any product leaving production. THUN’s sophisticated quality and process management is certified as per ISO 9001. Due to an excellent production and supply capacity, THUN is capable of producing and shipping orders in a matter of only a few days.
