FILE Thun has been striving to inspire through the quality of its products and technical after-sales services for 100 years. The company is strictly process and KPI driven. The entire production is run with statistical process control and advanced MES software (SYNCOS MES®). All products are approved through powerful validation methods like optical and sensory 3D measurement. Essential tools from the Lean Six Sigma model are constantly being employed: FMEA, KAIZEN, CPK analysis, etc. Industry 4.0 is demonstrated through digital interfaces between employees, machines, products, resources and processes. Thun’s sophisticated quality and process management is certified as per ISO 9001:2015. Another strength is Thun’s excellent supply capacity which allows for global OEM orders to be shipped in a matter of hours.

COMP OSITE PARTS Our cups and sleeves are injection-moulded in Germany and are made of high-performance composite. All threaded cups feature a thread as per BS 1,375x24. All cups – except the ones featured by X-CELL R and X-CELL RT 2.0 – now feature a toothing that allows for them to be retightened with a PEDRO’S® assembly wrench. This operation can be performed without disassembling any drive components (chain wheel, crank set, crank arms). That saves time and costs on the OEM’s and particularly on the dealer’s side.

COMP ATIBILITY TO VARIOUS BB-HOUSINGS All of our bb-sets – except FATJIVE – perfectly match standard bb-housings featuring a width of 68 mm. All of our bb-sets that feature a sleeve – except X-CELL R, X-CELL RT 2.0 and FATJIVE – are also available in a version that ensures compatibility with bb-housings featuring a width of 73 mm. Respectively, the compatible models are COUNTRY, BASIC, PASO, TOPAZ, IBEX, JIVE, ZUMBA and TANGO. Please keep in mind that the chain line is extended by 2,5 mm when assembling one of these models in a bb-housing featuring a width of 73 mm. FATJIVE is designed for bb-housings with a width of 100 mm only. If you require a bb-set for bb-housings of any other width we can also offer customized solutions.

STANDARDIZED INTERFACE SYSTEM The Standardized Interface System consists of a standardized cable (cable length = 220 mm) and a standardized connector (Higo Mini Z509 FG Male). This cable and connector form the interface. When OEM customers require a different connector or cable length for the purpose of connecting X-CELL RT 2.0 to their controller they require an extension cable with a Standardized Interface System compliant connector on the one side (Higo Mini Z509 FM Female) and their desired controller compliant connector on the other side. JUST IN SEQUENCE DELIVERIES You can order any delivery lot (no more minimum order quantity) as per your daily requirements. Your delivery lots are separately packed for different production days and delivered all together or even separately on the respective production days. Like that, you can internally allocate deliveries to the respective assembly lines. You will not have any dispensable components at your production line or on stock. You gain flexibility to manage increasing product diversity.
