Don’t Rest In A False Hope
“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves,” Matthew 23:15. In Christ’s day, it was customary for the religious leaders to propagate their self-righteous religious doctrine, much like ‘missionary societies’ today, and yet, once they became proselytes, or religious converts, Christ pronounced on them this condemnation. “Ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” All their zeal did not make them any more fit for heaven than those that they evangelized, Romans 10:1-3. Their followers become twofold more the children of hell than them in that, not only have they never been made to see their condemned state as unsaved sinners, but by profession, think themselves righteous, by their acts of penance, their supposed free-will decision, or dedication to God, Yet, it is a false righteousness that is nothing but filthy rags before a holy God, Isa. 64:6. We are not to believe every spirit. Many false prophets have gone out into the world, 1 John 4:1-5.. All who are the LORD’s by electing grace, Christ has redeemed, and in time will call to Himself by His Spirit. All that He so calls, He does cause to see their lost estate, and to see that it is for them that the LORD Jesus came into the world, “to seek and to save that which is lost.” All of salvation is in Him. Upon completion of His death at the cross, God the Father once for all imputed righteousness to the spiritual account of every one of those for whom Christ paid the debt, Romans 5:9-11. This is the one, unique, good hope that all of the LORD’S children possess, and that the LORD reveals in them. Any other hope is a false and condemning hope.

Gov. John Bel Edwards Expanding Vaccine Eligibility To 16 And Older With Underlying Health Conditions. Asthma (moderate to severe) Cancer Cerebrovascular disease Chronic kidney disease Chronic liver disease COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) Cystic fibrosis Severe neurologic conditions such as dementia BATON ROUGE, La. — Gov. John Bel Edwards held a news conference on the one-year anniversary of the first COVID-19 case in Louisiana where he announced a major expansion to the state’s vaccine eligibility. Edwards announced that people between the ages of 16 and older with underlying health conditions will be eligible to receive the vaccine effective immediately. This means anyone 16 or older with one or more of 12 conditions considered by the Centers for Disease Control to be a “definite” high risk, including obesity, cancer, kidney disease or cardiovascular disease, is now eligible for the vaccine. Previously, people were only eligible if they were 55 or older. Louisianans who are 16 and 17 years old and who have one of the CDC-defined conditions are only eligible to get the Pfizer vaccine, which is the only currently available vaccine approved for people younger than 18. The announcement comes exactly one year since the COVID-19 pandemic started in Louisiana. Since then, more than 1 million people have been vaccinated. Louisiana reported a total of 434,926 cases and 9,796 deaths Tuesday. FULL LIST OF NEW ELIGIBILITY: Individuals aged 16-64 with at least one of the conditions listed by the CDC as placing them at an increased or likely risk of severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19. The CDC list of conditions can be found here.
Down Syndrome Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies Hypertension Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant Immunocompromised state from blood or bone marrow transplant, immune deficiencies, HIV, use of corticosteroids, or use of other immune weakening medicines Obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 30kg/m2 or higher but < 40kg/m2) Severe obesity (BMIC >40kg/m2) Overweight (BMI 25-30 kg/m2) Pregnancy Pulmonary fibrosis Sickle Cell Disease Smoking Thalassemia (a type of blood disorder) Type 1 diabetes Type 2 diabetes mellitus
