During the summer of 2021, when everyone thought the most recent worldwide pandemic might be coming to an end, Architect, artist and father, Mike McSwain, and his artist son Larsson sketched their way through Louisiana, Texas, Colorado and New York trying to make sense of how Covid-19 stopped the world. They illustrate their discovery of the beauty in everyday life by transforming road signs FROM and rest areas, capturing the allure of canyons and chapels, and illustrating littleknown lodges and some of their favorite pit stops to make up an artful journey everyone can enjoy. “ALONG FOR THE RIDE” opens at artspace in downtown Shreveport on Friday, November 12, 2021 and runs through January 15.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
507 Highway 59 Queen City, TX 75572
Mike McSwain says, “I believe that this show is the embodiment of how two normal dudes can tackle today’s time, with all the uncertainty and weirdness, and turn it into a tale of love and respect for each other and for our collective brothers and sisters all around us.”

Salvation Illustrated and Foretold-Ezekiel 16:6-7 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live. Although historically fulfilled in the history of Israel in bringing them out of captivity from Egypt, nevertheless, it is a symbolic picture of how God finds, and calls out His spiritual Israel the remnant of grace (Romans 11:5) from deadness in sin (polluted in thine own blood). None can live but those whom God causes to live by His Spirit. All who hear and believe on the LORD Jesus, HAVE everlasting life, John 5:24. That’s why they believe, and that life is in God’s son, John 17:3. It is by God’s command, and not man’s will (John 1:12-13). 7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare. Here, the young nation of Israel, that originally went into Egypt as a small remnant of 70 (Deuteronomy 10:22) is described as a young maiden whom God would take and espouse to Himself, through the mediator Moses. It is a figure of God’s true church (Jew and Gentiles) for whom the LORD Jesus would come in the fullness of the time and pay her sin debt, and take to Himself His Church, as a bridegroom takes His bride to Him. The multiplying and blessing of those whom God the Father has given to His Son, are described symbolically as a ‘bud’ of the field that is caused to grow and multiply. The bud (singular) of the field, is the LORD Jesus (Gal. 3:16) who as the Seed of God, came to be sown in the field of the world, suffer and die, and rise again to bring forth fruit, the children of God throughout the world, that He redeemed, reconciled, and justified before God, John 12:24. Worst Blood Shortage in Over a Decade
The American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis – its worst blood shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care. Doctors have been forced to make difficult decisions about who receives blood transfusions and who will need to wait until more products become available. Blood and platelet donations are critically needed to help prevent further delays in vital medical treatments. Please schedule your blood donation today. To thank donors for helping during a time when the Red Cross blood supply is at historically low levels, those who come to give Jan. 1-31, 2022, will automatically be entered to win two tickets to Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles, California!* PLUS, we have an extra thank-you for stepping off the sidelines and rolling up a sleeve to help those in need. Those who come to give in January will also automatically be entered to win the Big Game at Home package to enjoy an awesome viewing experience at home.**
