Mrs. Linda Joyce (Feaster) Hall March 13, 1957 - March 21, 2021
Life Reflections of Linda Joyce Hall The masterpiece of the beautiful life of Sister Linda Joyce Feaster Hall was created on March 13, 1957, to the late Levear Feaster and the late Malinda Williams Feaster. The pieces of her earthen vessel were removed from the table of life in Bossier City, Louisiana when she was called to her heavenly home on March 21, 2021. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Haughton, Louisiana, where she remained after returning home from residing in Dallas, Texas for many years. She was educated in the Bossier Parish School System, graduated from C.E. Byrd High School, and attended Southern University at Shreveport. She was previously married for over twenty-years. On December 2, 2017, she was united in holy matrimony to John R. Hall. She was a dedicated and hard-working woman who was employed by the Bossier Council on Aging for many years becoming Transportation Director and later Senior Center Director. Known for her gift of cooking throughout the Haughton and Doyline area, she was owner of Bistineaux Grill in Koran, Louisiana where she proudly served great food alongside her beloved mother and sister. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking, and preparing holiday feasts for her family. In her spare time, she also enjoyed creating and collecting jewelry, collecting porcelain dolls, and spending time with dear family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Malinda and Levear Feaster, and one brother, Eddie Charles Feaster. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, John R. Hall; daughter, Angelic Feaster Evans (Tony) of Doyline, LA; raised as a daughter, Gwendolyn Jefferson of Houston, TX; bonus daughters-Jennifer Jackson Hall and Stacy Hall; bonus sons-John Hall, Jr., Farron Hall, Eric Jackson Hall, and Reggie Jackson Hall; grandchildren-D’errica Feaster, Keith Jefferson, and Lexton Feaster; great grandchildren-Desirae’ Darcel and Dalton Ray; goddaughters-Cynthia Davis and Shelby Jeter; one sister, Doris Feaster Ashton (Robert); five brothers-Mack Feaster (Charity), Billy Feaster (Johnnetta), Bobby Feaster, Dennis Feaster and John Crosby; four aunts-Clora Dean, Irma, Delores, and Alma; three uncles-Ernest, Alvin, and Jessie; 20 nieces and nephews, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Carl Albert Moentmann passed away on February 22, 2021. Born on September 7, 1928 in Oak Park, Illinois, Mr. Moentmann was a resident of Shreveport since 1972. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Gladys Schaper Moentmann, his parents, three sisters and brother. After serving in the Korean War, he joined Sunbeam Appliance Company in Chicago, where he worked for over 25 years, eventually moving south to become the manager of its plant in Coushatta, LA. Upon retirement, Carl also lent his skills to the Shreveport-based Construction Safety Products, only fully retiring a few years ago at age 87. A lifelong Lutheran, Carl was most recently a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Throughout his life, he was active in any congregation to which he belonged, whether in the Chicago area or in Shreveport. Carl served those congregations in a variety of roles, including congregational president, Sunday school superintendent, usher and choir member. Mr. Moentmann is survived by his son, Tim Moentmann and wife, Belinda of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Elise Moentmann of Portland, OR; granddaughter, J’nell Sanderson and husband, Josh of Choudrant, LA; grandson, Garrett Moentmann of Odessa, TX; great-granddaughters, Addison and Ella Sanderson of Choudrant, LA ; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Centuries Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 30 at 10:00 a.m. The family request that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Christus Hospice & Palliative Care and the staff of The Glen Retirement Community, especially at Village Heath Care.
