Purpose:

The purpose of the LTL Packaging Requirement is to ensure that all items are packaged in compliance with TFI’s quality standards, ensuring customers receive their orders accurately, securely, and in excellent condition

Scope:

Small Packaging Requirements apply to all TFI Distribution locations. These requirements apply to shipments via UPS, FedEx, Transfers, delivered by TFI, and orders to be picked up by customer.

Responsibilities: 1. Assemble TFI box/s and reinforce the entirety of the bottom of the box with tape. *Staples can be used but must be covered with tape. 2. All items must be placed in a bag with a label and sealed with a heat sealer. a. If items do not fit inside the bag, wrap the material together. 3. Add cushioning material (packaging paper) at the bottom of the box. 4. Place bagged items inside the box. a. Be mindful of the 50 lb. limit when placing items inside the box. 5. Add packaging paper on top of the material to fill voided space inside the box. a. Should be no void in the box. Add as much paper as necessary to fill voids on top and/or sides. 6. Successfully enter shipment information in World Ship (UPS) or Ship Manager (FedEx) and print label.
