Interpret order acknowledgement and drawings

Weld materials according to diagram specs

Wears proper PPE when welding

Use of correct welding wire types

Proper use of a welding & torch cart

Confident changing welding tanks

Identify welding symbols on drawings

Adhere to welding safety procedures

Adjust to different welding positions (flat, overhead, vertical)

Maintain welding equipment and tools

Check finished work for quality

Supervise and instruct welding helpers

Once the trainer is confident the trainee has the basic tools and knowledge to perform their job, the trainer will meet with the manager to discuss the training. Once the manager is confident in the completion of the training, he or she will sign and date each area provided below.

Use various size heavy duty wrenches

Operate cutting saw for rebar

Confident using bench grinder and wire wheel attachment

Use of rolling step ladder

Aware of appropriate PPE to be worn for all job tasks

Confident using pallet weighing scale

Proper use of a box cutter
