Turn the machine to the jog mode and test the machine

Take out the punch and die, clean them, and put them back on the shelf

Clean the die holder and put the new die in

Make sure the punch is clean and put in the machine

Jog the punch down to check that the punch is in the center of the die (if it isn’t in the center, DO NOT let the punch touch the die; make adjustments as needed)

Set the two stops for the proper size plates you will be making

Set the limit switches for the stroke on the punch (this will be up and down)

Turn the machine to manual and run a test plate; let a QC inspect part

Once the trainer is confident the trainee has the basic tools and knowledge to perform their job, the trainer will meet with the manager to discuss the training. Once the manager is confident in the completion of the training, he or she will sign and date each area provided below.
