maximum chaos. Did your "house" collapse into a sugar-pocalypse? Did you accidentally build a gingerbread shed? All are valid paths to greatness! The only rule is there are no rules (except maybe don't use real concrete).

Location - Bilar’s Garage Drop off your gingerbread creation at Bilar’s Garage from December 1st to 4th. Judging will be December 6th.

A sugary wonderland is about to appear at the Arctic Spas Rec Complex. Join us for a magical after-school session where you can build your very own dream gingerbread house.

All participants gingerbread houses will be entered into the gingerbread house competition taking place on December 5 th . for Thorsby’s Christmas Spirit event. Prizes will be awarded.

With planned activities, games, and crafts there’s no need to bring anything but your passion for play.

Reindeer Games Get ready to jingle all the way! Kids, you will be put to the test with challenges like the "Sleigh Pull Relay" and "Rudolph Nose Toss." It's an afternoon of teamwork, friendly competition, and holiday magic.

We can't wait to see which reindeer team has what it takes to guide Santa's sleigh this season!

Homeschool Hub We are proud to introduce our new homeschool play program, Homeschool Hub. A monthly play group hosted by Arctic Spas Rec Complex. With planned activities, games, and equipment there’s no need to bring anything but your passion for play.

Monday, December 15th 1-2:30pm Recreation This month we will be exploring team cooperation, balance and movement. With games such as Horsing Around, Crew Cruise, and Hot Spot

This monthly program brings homeschool families together for themed play sessions and engaging activities. Each month, we will explore new activities through hands-on play and group games. Parents are encouraged to participate in the fun; creating a collaborative and engaging environment for our kids to play and enjoy local recreation along side their peers.

ASKETBALL

Arctic Spa’s Recreation Complex is proud to present Spring 2025 pickup basketball. Hosted in the south side of the facility; the fieldhouse will be open to all, aged 16+. The drop-in rate is $5 per player, free to those with TRC memberships.

During game time we encourage the families of participants to enjoy the game from our viewing area located in the upper level of the complex.

Spectators will be able to watch the game, and are encouraged to bring their children for a free evening of play in the dance studio. Play equipment will be provided for youth to play. Chairs and chat will be available to mothers and care providers.

A place for parents and their young children to learn, play, and socialize together.

Early Childhood Play Enriching your child’s early years by sharing in weekly parent and tot activities.

For parents and caregivers of children 0-6yrs of age. Join our parenting community as we come together to share experiences through play and socialization.

Located in Arctic Spas Recreation Complex’s fieldhouse, a large gymnasium setting.

Our family friendly setting is a comfy backdrop to get out of the house and enjoy the morning with your baby. Free play format with a wind-down at the end of each morning. Engaging play such as playdough creation, finger painting, water play, and ages and stages fundamental milestone play; Stay n’ Play is a free drop-in program.

Shinny is an unstructured, noncompetitive game open to all skill levels, where players organize themselves for a fun, casual game of hockey. It's a great way to enjoy hockey without the pressure or cost of a formal league.

Hockey sticks, pucks, and other equipment are permitted during shinny.

Public skate is our scheduled ice program where the public can skate for fun & recreation. It provides a dedicated time for individuals & families of all skill levels to enjoy a leisurely skate.
