Homeschool Hub

We are proud to introduce our new homeschool play program, Homeschool Hub. A monthly play group hosted by Arctic Spas Rec Complex. With planned activities, games, and equipment there’s no need to bring anything but your passion for play.

Monday, November 17th introduces

This monthly program brings homeschool families together for themed play sessions and engaging activities. Each month, we will explore new activities through hands-on play and group games. Parents are encouraged to participate in the fun; creating a collaborative and engaging environment for our kids to play and enjoy local recreation along side their peers.

Early Childhood Play

Enriching your child’s early years by sharing in weekly parent and tot activities.

For parents and caregivers of children 0-6yrs of age. Join our parenting community as we come together to share experiences through play and socialization.

Located in Arctic Spas Recreation Complex’s fieldhouse, a large gymnasium setting. Our family friendly setting is a comfy backdrop to get out of the house and enjoy the morning with your baby. Free play format with a wind-down at the end of each morning. Engaging play such as playdough creation, finger painting, water play, and ages and stages fundamental milestone play.

ASKETBALL ASKETBALL

Arctic Spa’s Recreation Complex is proud to present Spring 2025 pickup basketball. Hosted in the south side of the facility; the fieldhouse will be open to all, aged 16+. The drop-in rate is $5 per player, free to those with TRC memberships.

During game time we encourage the families of participants to enjoy the game from our viewing area located in the upper level of the complex.

Spectators will be able to watch the game, and are encouraged to bring their children for a free evening of play in the dance studio. Play equipment will be provided for youth to play. Chairs and chat will be available to mothers and care providers.

Shinny

Tuesdays 3-4:45pm

Shinny is an unstructured, noncompetitive game open to all skill levels, where players organize themselves for a fun, casual game of hockey. It's a great way to enjoy hockey without the pressure or cost of a formal league.

Hockey sticks, pucks, and other equipment are permitted during shinny.

Public skate is our scheduled ice program where the public can skate for fun & recreation. It provides a dedicated time for individuals & families of all skill levels to enjoy a leisurely skate.

the Financial Feud: Couples and Money

Does it seem like you and your loved one are constantly arguing about money? Do you find it hard to get on the same page with your finances without it turning into a fight? Your loved one isn’t trying to make your financial life difficult; they likely just think about money differently.

This workshop will provide the education you need to support yourself and your loved one to understand each other’s relationship with money and create an achievable plan to reach your collective financial goals.

This workshop will show you how to:

Awareness in the Workplace

In recognition of Family Violence Prevention Month, join us as we explore the intersections of domestic violence within the workplace. This free event is open to all including community members, professionals, and those in the business community.

The event will include the following sessions:

Domestic violence and your workplace , presented by Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters. Gain a better understanding of the realities of domestic violence, how the COVID pandemic changed the landscape for survivors and those who support them, how domestic violence relates to work and the workplace, and how they can be part of the solution.

Leading Change, presented by Camrose Women’s Shelter.

Become a leader in your community against gender-based violence by learning about healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationships, how to recognize warning signs, and how to help those effected.

Scam prevention for seniors

Fraud is the fastest growing crime in Canada, and it’s difficult to stay on top of the latest schemes that are rampant online and in our community. The fraudsters are technologically savvy and convincing, tempting you online, on your phone, in your mailbox and at your door.

Seniors are among the groups most often targeted by scammers. Learn how to spot the scams and recognize the red flags to keep from becoming a victim. Know the steps to take if you have been victimized.

Christmas mourning:

Honouring grief during the holidays

However you celebrate the holidays, this season can be a difficult time. Christmas mourning is a gathering to provide support and comfort to those who are grieving during the holidays. This event offers a space for individuals to come together and remember their loved ones who have passed away and will include readings, reflection and an optional time of sharing.

Join us for this opportunity to honour and pay tribute to the memories of the loved ones you have lost.

Session is open to adults 18 years and older and will be facilitated by Registered Psychologist Amy Walton from Karunia Counselling in partnership with Leduc County Family and Community Support Services.
