Thompson Thrift earned national recognition by making the National Multifamily Housing Council’s 2026 NMHC 50, the annual ranking of the nation’s largest apartment owners, managers, developers, builders and syndicators. Thompson Thrift Residential and Thompson Thrift Construction started 3,245 units in 2025 to secure the No. 15 apartment developer ranking and No. 17 construction company ranking on the NMHC list. Thompson Thrift Expands National Footprint to 24 States with Reno, Nevada Development Thompson Thrift announced plans to develop Argent Flats, a 273-unit multifamily community in Reno, NV. The project marks Thompson Thrift’s first development in Nevada, expanding the company’s footprint to 24 states nationwide. It will be capitalized with equity from the Thompson Thrift 2026 Multifamily Development, LP. Positioned at the intersection of Plumas Street and South McCarran Boulevard, Argent Flats offers convenient access to I-580, downtown Reno, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.
