See Antique Fire Apparatus from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s

In recognition of the re service, the Westhampton Beach Historical Society, in cooperation with the Eastern Long Island Antique Fire Apparatus Association, presents an Antique Fire Apparatus Exhibition on the Great Lawn. Apparatus from the 1920s, 30s, 40s will be on display, as well as a Fire Prevention Trailer and Fire Education Program.

Fire ghting in the area dates back to the 1800s, but organized re ghting in Westhampton Beach originated in 1904 with the formation of the Quogue and Westhampton Beach Fire Department. For 117 years, the men and women of the Westhampton Beach Fire Department or its predecessor, have served their neighbors by training and performing the duties and responsibilities of dedicated, courageous re ghters … the true spirit of volunteerism.
