The British Broadcasting Corporation has revealed its list of BBC 100 Women 2017. Claire Lin Nien-Tzu from Taiwan is on the 2017 list. 34-year- old Lin NienTzu is the founder of the Dharti Mata Sustainable Workshop in Nepal. Dharti Mata in Nepalese and Sanskrit means, "The Earth Mother". Lin Nien-Tzu established a workshop in Nepal to provide local women clean and affordable cloth sanitary napkins. Local women are empowered by working in the workshop. She hopes to provide women's employment opportunities through the handicrafts of women in Nepalese villages and to develop women's microeconomy and skills. This year, the women on the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge, tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world. National Speech Contests
The National Speech Contest, held by Toastmasters International Taiwan at its Fall Conference, consists of two kinds of speeches, the Humorous Speech and the Evaluation Speech. A total of 8 contests will be held in four different languages, namely English, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Japanese. 由中華民國國際演講協會在秋季大會舉辦 的全國演講比賽有兩種 : 幽默演講和講評。 總共會有八場比賽，分別用英語，國語， 台語 和日語進行。 Contestants that have reached the national stage have already competed and won at club, area and division level contests throughout Taiwan, from Pingtung to Keelung. The champions from each division will converge in Taipei on November 25th and 26th to vie for the national title of ‘District 67 Champion of Public Speaking’.
