The idea of a Children’s Day to protect children’s rights began in 1925, during an international conference on child welfare issues in Geneva, Switzerland. 台東基督教醫院中醫科 獲頒「巡迴醫療服務貢獻獎」 Taitung Christian Hospital Chinese Medicine Award was awarded the "Tour Medical Service Contribution Award" 服務離島居民看診就醫，4 年服 務超過 9000 人次，感謝蘭嶼居 家關懷協會、綠島鄉公所，與 德安航空公司在交通上的協調。
Taitung Christian Hospital, Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, began the Green Island Township tour medical services in 2012. Recently, at the National Association of Chinese Medicine held at the National Medical Festival celebration, the "tour medical service contribution award” was awarded to Taitung Christian Hospital. The tour medical services include the island of Kinmen County, Lianjiang County, Penghu County, Taitung County Lantau Township and Green Island Township, as well as several mountain towns. Every week, Monday to Friday, three doctors, Huang Junjie, Wang Yongsheng, and Li Zhenyi, visit the outlying islands and remote areas to provide local residents with medical services, including internal check, gynecology, pediatrics, injury, acupuncture.Last year, they made 150 visits to Lanyu Island and Green Island, attending nearly 2,000 patients. Wang Junjie, Director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, expressed his gratitude to colleagues for their diligence in sharing the outlying island's mobile medical care. He also thanked the Lantau Home Care Association, the Green Island Township Office for providing venues and assistance, as well as the Daily Air Corporation for support and help with traffic.
臺東基督教醫院中醫科，於 2012 年起陸續承 辦蘭嶼鄉、綠島鄉的巡迴醫療服務，多年來為 離島居民健康把關，日前於中醫師公會全國聯 合會舉行的國醫節慶祝大會中，獲頒「巡迴醫 療服務貢獻獎」。 獲表揚的 9 個單位來自臺北、北、中、南、 高屏、東區等 6 個健保分區，其巡迴醫療的服 務地點包括離島的金門縣、連江縣、澎湖縣、 臺東縣蘭嶼鄉及綠島鄉，以及數個山地鄉。 目前每週一至週五由黃俊傑、王永盛、李 貞儀 3 位醫師定期前往離島 & 偏遠地區 .. 等地 , 展開巡迴醫療，提供當地民眾內科、婦科、小 兒科、傷科、針灸科等科別的服務。以蘭嶼、 綠島兩地為例，去年就提供了近 150 個診次， 服務了近 2000 人次。 中醫科主任黃俊傑表示，感謝同仁不辭辛 勞的分擔離島的巡迴醫療，還有蘭嶼居家關懷 協會、綠島鄉公所提供場地及協助，以及德安 航空公司在交通上的協調，因為他們的支援及 幫助，這 4 年多來的蘭嶼、綠島巡迴醫療之路 才能順暢的持續進行。

清 明 節 Tomb Sweeping Festival Qing Ming (清明) Festival, or Tomb Sweeping, falls on the 15th day after the Spring Equinox. This year it falls on April 5th, when the Chinese respect for filial piety and careful attention to funeral rites is visibly manifested in the custom of ancestor worship and tomb sweeping. In 1935, the Taiwan government designated Qing Ming as Chinese Tomb Sweeping Day and declared it a national holiday. One of the stories about the origin of Qing Ming is of the founder of the Han dynasty, Liu Pang 劉邦 (Emperor Han Kao Tsu 皇帝漢高 祖), who went back to his hometown to clean his parents’ graves. The graveyard was ravaged due to war and he c ould not locate pieces of paper in the air, and declared that wherever they fell and remained unmoving, he would consider that spot his parents’ grave. The tradition of hanging implies that the tomb has been swept. In ancient times, the day for eating cold food was called“ Cold Food Day” when fire building was forbidden. This custom gradually merged with Qing Ming traditions.The family burns spirit money and paper eplicas of material goods such as cars, homes, phones and paper servants.
