has stated that with the various monetary policy tools in use by the CBN, he foresees inflation figures declining steadily to below 15 per

cent by the end of 2023. Figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicated that inflation in Nigeria increased

by a record 5.09 per cent to 21.09 per cent year-on-year in October 2022, compared to the corresponding period of 2021.

2023: INEC Insists Parties Must Inform it of Foreign Funds Unveils guidelines, directs parties to notify it of rallies, 10 days ahead

Commission (INEC) yesterday reiterated that all political parties must inform it of any transfer of funds or other assets to them

from outside Nigeria within 21 days of receipt. It also directed political parties to notify it of the schedule of their

rallies and processions at least 10 days ahead, and to also inform the police about such activities. These are contained in the

guidelines for the Conduct of Political Rallies, Processions and Campaigns, as well as that of Finances and Election Expenses
