Tinubu to UN: Provide Practical Support to Nigeria in War against Terrorists Global bloc to host counter-terrorism summit in Abuja April next year Deji Elumoye in Abuja President Bola Tinubu yesterday charged the United Nations (UN) to provide necessary support to Nigeria in its fight against terrorism, noting that growth and prosperity cannot be achieved if the menace persists. Speaking while playing host to the Under-Secretary General of the United Nations Office on Counter-Terrorism, Mr. Vladimir Voronkov, at the State House, Abuja, the President noted that terrorism had consistently reversed the gains on development and increased instability in families and communities, but that UN's cooperation in dealing with it, had always been inconsistent and whimsical in the developing world context.
