Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise (CPPE) declared
that the Nigerian economy entered the second half of 2026 with its strongest macroeconomic fundamentals in many years and
much strengthened investors' confidence than at the beginning of the year. CPPE, however, warned that
election-related spending could inject additional liquidity into the economy, with possible implications for inflationary
pressures, foreign exchange demand, and macroeconomic management. The views were expressed
