Tinubu Extends Hand of Friendship to Critics, Seeks Cooperation in Nation’s Interest Receives certificate of return after 10.9m votes win at primaries, lists feats in four years

Thank you all!

I

write to express my profound gratitude for the privilege of my candidacy in the January 16, 2027 presidential election as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

While I accept my choice as the candidate of our great party with a sense of humility, I take this opportunity to thank Nigerians for keeping faith with our Renewed Hope Agenda. Your collective decision to put me forward as the candidate of our great party is more than a vote of confidence in my capacity to provide the needed leadership for the transformation of Nigeria, but a bold acknowledgement of the great work our administration has undertaken since assumption of office on May 29, 2023. Our mission is to reset Nigeria and rediscover the greatness of our beloved country. We have taken several bold, but difficult decisions. The long-term effects of the decisions will restore our pride as Nigerians and establish our nation as a clear leader amongst the developed nations. In fact, the pains are giving way and the gains are visible.

To build a better Nigeria is at the heart of Our Renewed Hope Agenda, but without The Almighty Allah, this journey would not have started in the first instance. So, its continuity is owed to His grace. The journey has been interesting and promising although not without challenges. For her remarkable support and good counsel all through, I appreciate my darling wife, Senator Oluremi OON, CON, and our children. I would also like to express my gratitude to my co-pilot, Vice President Kashim Shettima Mustapha GCON and his lovely wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima. To the National Assembly, led by the Senate President, Senator Goodswill Akpabio, GCON and Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.Tajudeen Abbas, GCON, I say thank you so much for the support and collaboration between the two arms of government in the quest for a better and more prosperous Nigeria. WE WILL GET THERE! I thank all the leaders of our party at national, state, local government and ward levels. You have done so well. Without the visionary leadership of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, our National Chairman, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Working Committee (NWC), the harmony and support that birthed this great moment would not

have existed. As we have decided to keep our resolve to steer the affairs of Nigeria in the right direction, I would like to inform our traditional and religious leaders from across the country that their wisdom and prayers are invaluable to our vision of building a better Nigeria. I thank you specially for all you are doing for our nation. The better Nigeria we are building is for our youths, who are the leaders of tomorrow. I must admit that your sense of responsibility and contributions to democratic practices are not just impressive, but genuinely commendable. With the solid foundation we are laying today, you are guaranteed a better and enviable tomorrow. We promised to remove the financial barriers to higher education for our youths as one of the routes to a brighter future for our highly talented young ones. Since the introduction of the Nigerian Education Loan, over N282billion has been disbursed to no fewer than 1.5million beneficiaries across Nigeria. We are building world class roads that will last for over 100 years. I hail members of our indefatigable Armed Forces for their sacrifices. I am proud of them and will continue to encourage them in their determination to keep Nigeria safe and secure for all. Similarly, our community leaders, women’s associations, professional bodies, market leaders, and political stakeholders across Nigeria have shown unrelenting faith in the Nigeria project and belief in our capacity to deliver the greatest good for the greatest number of Nigerians. We will not disappoint you. To our accountability partners – the judiciary, the media and civil society organisations (CSOs)– your contributions to nurturing our democracy is well noted. Your roles have significantly improved the quality of democracy and governance in Nigeria. I salute the entire Tinubu family, friends, associates, campaign team members, volunteers, and supporters whose sacrifices, prayers and tireless efforts made this feat possible. Your loyalty and commitment will never be forgotten. Dear countrymen and party loyalists, I understand the tasks ahead and the expectations of over 240 million Nigerians: a county that works for every Nigerian; a safe and secure country. That is what my leadership is committed to providing. That is at the heart of our Renewed Hope Agenda. As I accept this nomination with utmost humility and a sincere promise to build a Nigeria that works for every Nigerian without disregard for the principles of fairness, inclusion, justice, development, and accountability, I call on all members of APC to remain united, focused, and committed to victory. STAND FIRM! The road ahead is long, possibly tortuous, and presents some challenges. However, with shared responsibility, determination, and unity, we will achieve our goal of building a Nigeria that works for every Nigerian. Beyond infrastructural excellence, human dignity and quality of life are main pillars of our governance framework. Building a better Nigeria is the goal. WE WILL GET THERE! ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR President and Commander-in- Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and APC Candidate May 24, 2026
