My topic is Present for a Special Day. The reason why I chose this topic is that I like exchanging presents with someone. And the present will remain in my heart as a good memory.

This photo shows a ballpoint pen that was given to me as a gift about seven years ago. It was a sudden gift on an ordinary day, but it made the day special for me. The person who gave me it was a boy of the same age who lived near my house. He was my closet friend at that time. Of course, I still consider him one of my important friends. He probably knew that I liked stationery. I was so pleased. I like the ballpoint pen so much that I have not used any other pen in the last seven years. When I’m struggling with my studies, it cheers me up.

For me, this ballpoint pen is like a bond with him. I have never seen him since I was in university, but every time I use this, I’m reminded of him. I will participate in the coming-of-age ceremony this year. I will see him again and I’m sure that we will rekindle our friendship.
