OUR WHY
It’s estimated that 57% of trafficking victims in Alabama are children.
No number is entirely accurate, though. It is believed any statistics that exist only represent a small amount of the total number of children who are trafficked each year. (Estimates say as few as 14-18% of the total cases are reported).

Our restoration home will begin to solve this problem by housing 9 children at a time.
While there are additional beds currently available or proposed by other community organizations, these will not be enough to provide services for every child in this state who needs it. Currently, all of the available beds are only available through private placement.
WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT:
• While group homes provide wonderful care, they do not specialize in the type of trauma these children have experienced. In fact, every time a child is rescued from a trafficking situation and put into a non-therapeutic home, there is an 87% chance that child will run away, inevitably returning to their trafficker for “safety”.
• We have our Foster Placement License, ensuring we can help children be placed in an environment conducive to healing, even if it is not with us.
• Because we have partnered with local and state DHR, we have been able to apply for a “moderate license” as well. This will ensure that we can receive children not just through private placement, but also from government entities. This will allow us to be a unique program in our state and begin receiving children as soon as we open our doors.
