We would like to say a special ‘thank you’ to our business partner Citi who supported the Young and Black project as part of their own commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion, and to UK Youth for inspiring us to launch the Young and Black project.

At the heart of our programmes is the trusted relationships young people have with their coach. Throughout the project, coaches and our wider delivery team provided a safe environment to explore race and identity.

At times it was difficult for young people to share their experiences of racism, and we’d like to recognise the role of our team in supporting young people to take part.

We firmly believe that our young people today have the determination, knowledge, talent and passion to fight racism and bring about a fairer and more inclusive society, and our Young and Black Project has helped to equip, inspire and support them in this fight.

Looking ahead, ThinkForward will continue to embed equalities in everything we do, work to influence our partners on issues such as fairer access to career opportunities and aim high to develop organisational best practice around equity, diversity and inclusion.

We all have to play our part. We hope you enjoyed the artwork and the messages in this wonderful book and that they inspire you on your own journey to contribute to a better, brighter and more just world.
