* What are common data sources and how can they be used?
* How can third party data be used in an organisation.
Investigate and write a summary of the following areas:
* data types: numeric, temporal, text, geospatial, media, logical, references
* the importance of selecting the most appropriate data suitable for analysis
* how to access, extract and migrate data from a range of sources
* must include observational feedback of a practical task.

Create a presentation on the following key points:
You need to submit the following:
* the significance of the data and how it underpins digital interactions and connections across the digital landscape * Presentation (Powerpoint)
*How data can be obtained through customer-centric interactions: applications, devices, internet of thing (IOT)

* combine the datasets into one dataset through appropriate migration and formatting techniques
* save the new dataset in a suitable format for future use
You need to submit both of the following:
* a combined dataset (e.g. excel file)
* a written an evaluation report (Word Document)

What do I submit?
Four one-page posters: you need to submit the following:
* they can created in any suitable software and exported as PDF's
* there is likely to be overlap between each of these posters
CDP materials covering the following areas for an all-staff training day:
* it would be sensible to complete this task in the same order as in Moodle.
CPD materials about data compliance:
* the video should be about data compliance and should be in the form of an instruction / demonstration video.
* 4 posters as PDF
* they can be individual documents or four separate numbered pages in the same document.
You need to submit the following:
* a presentation (powerpoint)
* video embedded within the presentation
You need to submit the following:
* a presentation (Powerpoint)

Please note:
* Part a & b can be submitted together. Moodle - add all to 2a, cross reference in 2b.
* Only attach the video link within the powerpoint and upload a copy to link provided by your tutor.

* the video should last between 5 and 10 minutes.

Create a training tool on the importance of filtering data, each of the following can be its own section:

* the application of blending and manipulation techniques
* the importance of linking different datasets
Wherever possible, use screenshot with anntation to explain the process.

Create a short report to evidence your knowledge of Data Modelling, statistical methods and algorithms.
* Data Modelling techniques: conceptual, logical & physical
* Statistical methods: standard deviation, linear regression, clustering, time series modelling & correlation
* the process of data normalisation to remove redundancy and improve integrity
* features and functions of algorithms to solve problems with data.
You need to submitt the following:
* a short written report (Word document)
Task 2 Data Modelling
Use the datasets from Unit 1 & 4
Create an ERD using a software tool of your choice (e.g. Draw.io, Microsoft visio)
* apply a data modelling technique to create an entity relationship diagram (ERD) showing how this data could be stored in a database.
* identify and apply an appropriate statistical method to interpret any trends and patterns in data – use relevant charts or graphs to highlight any findings

Complete an investigation (written report) outlining data management and visualisation tools: You need to submit the following:
* management tools include a variety of CRM tools * a written report (Word document)
* visualisation tools include applications such as PowerBI.
Create two presentations for different audiences: You need to submit the following:
* firstly one for a technical audience. This presentation would make use of correct techncal terms and complex charts.
* secondly, one for a non technical audience. This presentation would include simpler language and less complex charts.

These can be created using any standard presentation software.
