Today (10th October) with the series nearly at an end, I’m full of love and gratitude. Weeks ago…

#SaveCulture 1st August 2016, Denmark Street (“Tin Pan Alley”) in what’s left of Soho in the destroyer (“developer”) gentrification ravaged part of Central London that was so vibrant until the 20th Century party ended…

Hanging with friends. Disco MarkY, was our Uniqulture road show DJ, here at The Alleycat, in 2014.

We returned in December 2015 to film a session with Mourning Birds, and bumped into Joe Moon of Electric Owls Films when he was returning cymbals after playing a gig.

TheZineUK family expanded that day. It was meant to be.

Mark, a familiar face at London’s most happening shows, was also one of the talents at ArtBeatFest new music expo in April 2016.

Now we’re back. Monday 1st August with Electric Owls to film sessions with, and interview, exciting punky rockers Sisteray (next page Niall Rowan and Daniel Connolly arrive at the venue) and SONS. It was a truly creative day. The wall art in this picture is also by Joe.

Ironically, one of the songs that SISTERAY perform today will be ‘Gentrification’.

At the same time as this candid snap shot, before filming began, was taken, across the road, yet another music business is in meltdown because of greedy developers.

One of the songs that SONS will play, also appropriately, is ‘Reptiles’.

It’s not true that the new punk rock anti scene has nothing to say in this Austerity Armageddon.

Much appreciation to all the talents who gave their time and energy to create something for posterity today.

The live sessions included interviews, as well as opinion on the times that we live in.

Underground tunes and beats from all genres are the true sound tracks of our lives.

It had been a fruitful day in London’s “West End”.

Monday 8th August 2016

The Trap We are in North London at the Finsbury. The brand new band that we saw in May at End Of The Trail Records night were so good that we had to go again just to check it wasn’t hallucination or alcohol. It wasn’t. Not long after we managed to snap for TheZineUK music social number 3.

The Trap impressed us all over again, and our friends that have checked them out so far.

Since this band played our first East End Music Social in January 2016, the intensity of their live presence has become somewhat addictive.

There is much to celebrate as 485C have a debut release - ‘She’ll Lie’ / ‘In My Cell’ which has already had support from Steve Lamacq, TV play on Soccer Am and, this very evening, a conference of music industry faces at the venue, early doors to catch their opening set.

Alongside bumping into and hugging many familiar faces all evening, it was a joy to see up and coming radio presenter, Jimmy Bowman of The Glass Collectors (who we met at our first social) deep in conversation, over pints, with Mr Lamacq.

Met the brand new band, World’s Forgotten Sons, that night and were so enamoured that they, too, have joined this tale.

It’s always worth going to see 485C, can’t wait for more rock fans to have the pleasure…

12th August 2016, Nambucca in North London and a proper Wonderland where the global potential of Bang

If you love entertainment and massive noisy pop joy, then TheZineUK posse DARE you to check out M O S E S and not become a fan. Down the front at this show, taking pictures from the start of their set, three of our gang; Sandy, Jeff and Caffy. By the end of their set, we’d put away the cameras, were dancing and jumping around. Having as much fun as the band.

Wednesday 23rd August 2016, Birthdays club, Dalston, Coquin Migale have travelled from Newcastle to London to play one of the launch shows for their debut album, ‘Munro’.

“Cabbage; a war cry for our times” (Heather Minx Ferguson)

Cabbage were playing their first proper London venue show in Camden when Heather Minx and Sandy K. Moz went to report on the show.

Over the Bank Holiday weekend, as Sandy and Heather are enjoying Cabbage in London, some of the team are having fun at the Leeds and Reading Festival sites.

We took a few snaps at the latter, on Friday 25th August, when Coquin Migale were headlining the BBC Introducing Stage.

Then read on for Tarquin Clark’s amazing photo spread from Leeds Festival.

Coquin Migale made a huge impression at the Reading and Leeds Festivals with the dynamically alternative rock of their widely acclaimed album, ‘Munro’. Incidentally, the picture on front man, Alex’s t shirt is of their manager, Kelly Munro, head of UK based independent record label extraordinaire, End Of The Trail.
