Natural Remedies For Flu.
We are in the winter season and it’s that time when colds and flu are very common. Due to the cold spell it might just hit and perhaps you do not have any money to go and buy medication, little do you know that what you might have in your pantry might be of great help.

EUCALYPTUS LEAVES
Eucalyptus or gum tree leaves as it popularly known is a readily available remedy .It is usually incorporated in most of flu medicines .Find a eucalyptus tree and take some leaves from it preferably those freshly sprouting ones .Boil them add a little lemon if you like and sip whilst its hot .It is recommended to take all these remedies whilst its hot it helps in fighting the virus lol do not equate it with corona though.
LEMON
Lemon is very high in Vitamin C which helps in fighting flu .Take some lemons and boil them add little cooking and salt though its optional .Drink whilst it’s still hot .You can add some ginger and a little mint leaves to make the concoction a bit stronger depending on how the flu has attacked you and drink whilst its hot.
GUAVA LEAVES
Also rich in Vitamin C, take the freshly thin sprouting ones and boil them you can add a lemon or ginger as well and drink whilst hot.
ONION
For those with a blocked nose cut a piece of white onion and place it beside your bed a little bit closer to your nose .Sleep and make sure you’re breathing towards the direction where you’ve cut the onion. You’ll wake up and observe the onion would have changed its colour. It is believed that an onion has the power to remove infections. Also for those with a little cough boil a lemon and add onion and drink the mixture it helps.
ZUMBANI TEA
This one is a true saviour, whether powdered or just the leaves, pit them in boiled water and drink like tea but do not add sugar. This plant is said to have healing properties which removes all the cold from the inside and it is also an Lemons immune booster .One cup a day wouldn’t hurt anybody. Photocredits | getty images
STEAMING
This is a well-known remedy boil water and put it in a bucket .You can add Vicks Vapour Rub or Eucalyptus Oil if you have it .Cover yourself with a blanket but firstly take off all your clothes .Inhale the steam for about 10 minutes .Sweat a lot, the sweating is a sign that the flu is coming out of your body .After steaming make sure you dry off the sweat and wear something warm and hop into a blanket .Be careful when steaming with hot water, children will require adult supervisor.
