In 2014, the Austrian team of HOLODECK architects won a Eu- ropean-level open competition to design the new Austrian Embassy in Bangkok. It took four years for the new embassy building to complete. With respect to the characteristics of Austria and Thailand leads to a unique symbiotic space. The created building ensemble offers an inspiring environmental and technological exchange within contemporary architec- ture. Altogether they create a holistic and sustainable archi- tecture.
This special publication, with support from European Union, conveys the architectural design concept and stories that came about the new Austrian Embassy in Bangkok designed by HOLODECK architects through articles from the architects and Kanokwan Trakulyingcharoen. There is also information on the materials and products used and beautiful photo- graphs of the exterior and interior of the building.
